Just 12 minutes before the final whistle Oldham were drawing and skates were winning and looking like the great escape was on.........as it has been said on here before, it's hope that kills you!

Yeovil and Crawley at home, then Shrews and Orient away.

I reckon there might be 2 draws in there. Or Lee Barnard could get the winner at home to Yeovil on Tuesday and send them down. :)

"We have a number of parachute payments" - could that 'number' be 1 ?

No, 2.

1 in August and 1 in Feb 2014.

They must be the only team in history to stretch the PL parachute payments all the way to League 2! I've never considered them to be generous before, far from it, but they do appear to be 'sharing the wealth' throughout the football pyramid.

Ultimately they were very lucky that the Premier League gave them (and other relegated teams) an unexpected boost this season with the extra payment. They could get another one next year as a one-off but otherwise the remaining payments won't add up to to much. There is a figure that has been quoted here somewhere about PPs for L1 and L2 clubs which would be useful to know if somebody can dig it out.

They are almost gone, but do feel sorry for the clubs and fans in League 2. No doubt they will be giving it large over the summer, but it would be funny if they get relegated again.

If they do, the Conference might quite appreciate them: an extra 100 on the gate for some clubs must be quite significant... :-)

Will be good for them to be relegated before next Friday, when they are due to come out of admin. That then somewhat forces the FL to apply the 10 pts deductions next year. Needed today's results to go as they did too.

Fr a man who fought tooth and nail to protect his 17m gave up with a whimper. It does not add up and almost certainly there is a reason for that. The devil will be in the details

Apparently Oldham are at home to Yeovil on Tuesday. If Oldham win, Skates are relegated according to Solent

Oldham just need one more point from their remaining games and hope that Pompey can't claw back a -7 GD deficit even if they win their last two.

If it is truly a fan-owned club, then these and those rucking at Waterloo station are the people who own it.

Lovely. Classy.

Let's hope these really are the people making the decisions over the running of the club.

The rest of the football world will soon see why we wanted the cockroach of football crushed.

Its a fair sentiment. But something that the few haven't yet grasped is that the football world have had zero interest in them for quite some time. They are an utter irrelevance. Again.

he never lent them £17m in the first place? Or he's got a sizeable chunk of it back long the way?

So their fans have had (nominal) control of the club for barely a few days, and already they've invaded a pitch and been done over at Waterloo by Millwall.

Excellent.

Quote from a Pompey fan on FB after the game:

"yeah nice one Pompey fans.. just when we get control of the club, you behave like that... ****ing all over the terraces, in people gardens and abusing your own female fans"

So apart from getting the run around by Millwall, BWP taking the ****, a pitch invasion which was more camp than a Village People reunion and Oldham winning, its been a good start for the new regime

Now now, Let's make sure that we get this as factually correct as a Neil Allen article in the snooze. They weren't rucking, the 657 crew were simply trying to encourage new fans to make their donations to the pst...

I thought the other story under the pitch invasion in the News was more worry to the skate bastards

BEGGARS were told to stop asking the public for money or face prosecution as a major police operation was launched last night.

Simon Hayes, the police and crime commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, joined officers on the streets of Portsmouth to help hand out letters to beggars.

The notices warned them that begging is a criminal offence – and they could face arrest if they continue.

Ian Peach, PDT board member, expresses his disquiet:

Frankly embarrassed at some of the crap I saw at end of the game. Sad to say had moment when wondered if effort of last 18mths was worth it.

Whoops. Infighting already.
