So how do those figures fit in with the PDT's business plan? Does this mean they will have to re-work their figures again. Below ten thousand lol. But they probably are the bestest of the best that are left.

Perhaps from now on they could simply be called the restest of the bestest?

@S13SFC @pn_neil_allen I don't have anything to worry about anyway, not even mentioned me - just the tiny company who host it.

I think that's worth forwarding to fansonline network!

"Tiny online company"....?

What a tw4t.

The equivalent of me writing something libelous in a blog and expecting Steve to take the backlash.

Hmmmm, I wonder..............

P.S... Come on you franchise.....

This attendance of 9,815....includes season ticket holders and those that purchased 10 year tickets?....Many not attending anymore:D

there is no such thing as a 10 year season ticket. 300 have lifetime season tickets though.

so Plymouth have a travelling support approx twice the size of pompey's.

I guess they must just be glory hunters, you wait until Plymouth are struggling, then we'll find out what they are made of.

They might not have won tonight but at least the other results went their way. :scared:

But if they do come out of admin cant the league apply the deduction for the next season if they are (pretty much) down already?

We are in the usual 'no club has ever been in this situation before so they are making up the rules as they go along' territory so who knows?

Think that only applies for the standard penalty for going into admin, to stop clubs taking the hit once already down.

This is a different situation and uncharted water. But I think the deduction is when they come out of admin, whatever, and if that doesn't happen before the end of season they are toast.

But the FL may of course make the rules up as they go along.

Don't see why not - what is the point of the punishment otherwise. When we didn't go into admin, we were punished because our parent company had and the punishment was applied 'in the spirit of rules' or something like that. Would seem reasonable for the FL to exercise its discretion and apply the punishment when it actually has some effect.

On the other hand, I can see the FL not wanting to put the boot in to the biggest and bestest (a little bit) fan-owned community club in the land.

Carlsberg don't do football results, but if they did ............

Colchester 2 - 0 Yeovil

Hartlepool 3 - 0 Crewe

Scun7horpe 1 - 0 Stevenage

Swindon 0 - 1 Bury

LLLLLLLLLDDDLLLLLLLDDLLD

And according to http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D2/runin.html

Their highest possible finishing position is 8th, which means they *cannot* now be promoted.

So their 'go for broke, never mind the wages' policy worked well then :D

It also now officially confirms them as the South Coast's 4th club, behind Brighton, Bournemouth and the Farking Scummahs!

In 12 months from now they could well be the south coasts 7th club behind Brighton, Bournemouth, Exeter, Torquay, Plymouth (if they avoid relegation themselves) and the Farking Scummahs.

Now that would be worth watching!

It looks like in their little game of oneupmanship they are about to claim yet another victory. In my 40+ years supporting Saints I can only ever remember us finishing bottom of the league once. That's another little bit of 'istry for them.

And I suggest the FL sould adopt a fair approach to the deduction of points, by only carrying forward the penalty points in proportion to the fans ownership of the club. The fans penalty can be waived, but the proportion for the new crooks and villains portion can stand. So they should start next reason in L2 on -9½ points then, if they're lucky.

Do we really, in all honesty, with what we are interpreting, reading and analysing, believe, even for one SECOND, that they will need a 10 point penalty imposed on them next season?

With a reported playing staff budget of B & Q's Sunday League team, let alone BSQ proportions, the "oh never saw that coming" infighting and the battles with Health & Safety to keep nottarf open...

They should be MORE than capable of coming bottom of L2 all on their own.

Far more satisfying when they have nobody else to blame

So, it's almost a week ago since this...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21532233

Administrators PKF were at the High Court on Thursday to set a date for the hearing to force the sale of Fratton Park to the Pompey Supporters' Trust.

But PKF confirmed there was an ambiguity with correspondence between former owners Portpin and the Football League that would need clarifying.

They hope to confirm a specific date in the next few days.

Can anyone clarify the definition of the word "few" for me in this context? (Not the alternative definition of: "25,000 imaginary football club supporters packing Fratton Park")

Surely there can't be yet another hold up given the Trust are "Ready to go with their robust business plan ™" can there?

Which of course allows the "flexible" change of mind to allow the New Chainrai ... (sorry) Harris bid. ..... Mark my words, the FL will not let their beloved Portsmouth die

Now wouldnt it be funny if they did reject it,

Hmmm.....it would seem that the "loan to be underwritten by parachute payments" condition has been conveniently airbrushed....IIRC from the transcript of the original loan approval meeting, that was one of the key factors in the council agreeing the loan...

COUNCILLORS will decide today whether a huge cash loan should be used to help Pompey fans take over the club.

As previously reported in The News, city leaders voted to loan Pompey Supporters’ Trust £1.45m in August last year. Now a cabinet meeting is to be held at 1.40pm in the council chamber to finalise the agreement.

A report being presented to members says the move should be agreed on the basis that assurances are made by The Football League and the club’s administrators PKF that no other bid is being considered.

There should also be proof that £1m worth of investment collected by the trust and funding agreed by property developer Stuart Robinson are deposited into an escrow account.

The document adds that a ‘suitably skilled’ chief executive should be appointed at the club. Portsmouth City Council Leader Gerald Vernon-Jackson said: ‘The advice given by council officers is that there is no greater risk now of entering into a deal than there was back in August.

‘I would be very surprised to see the council agreeing to doing something different and rejecting the loan.’

Anyway, popcorn at the ready for 1:40pm...

Back in August the fishy phew were not bottom of L1 entirely on their own (although diminutively supported by the bestest fans in Portsea Island) merits. I would have thought that even the council could see that a L2 income makes a loan more risky without the fact the cost projections for this year were based on fantasy crowd figures.

Shalala etc:D

The Council loan, and PDT bid is pretty much irrelevent if the PFA don't like the fact that the Council and Robinson will get paid first from the Parachute Payments. There simply isn't enough money to pay everyone what they want.
