Pompey Takeover Saga

PFC lived life to the max,

That’s because they paid no tax.

Down the leagues the bestest did fall,

Let’s pack the park was the call,

Now Fratton Park had plenty of space,

As they sank down the league without a trace,

PUP was the shout,

The CWTB he is a lout,

Court cases came and court cases went,

The PST team had hardy a cent,

Chinny has said he wants his cash,

If he gets his money he’ll be off in a flash,

Agent Birch has done his Job,

To keep away the hungry mob,

Down to league two its odds on to go,

For the bestest fans it’s a bit of a blow,

Crowds will dwindle that’s for sure,

The bestest fans will be demure,

The ground will become a new superstore,

Poor old Fratton will be no more.

He said: ‘We needed somewhere to train, put the idea to them (Cockleshell Community Sports Club) and they’ve worked diligently with (administrators) PKF to make sure everything is legally done.‘That was one of the hold ups – but it’s done now.

‘It just shows the spirit the city has. It’s probably the fans rubbing off on the community.

Fans rubbing off on the community? The spirit of Avram lives on...

Deluded, inbred and no shame

Their sister is seen as fair game,

The cheats won a cup

But f*cked it all up,

And everyone else is to blame.

Another reason as well

Why they should all go to hell,

Not only the cheating

Tax-dodging and bleating,

But that f**king c**t with the bell!

If we are voting for a winner this gets my vote

Amusing to observe the number of Pompey fan tweets this morning lauding the "Pompey 2 Barcelona 0" result last night with no hint of irony that its these very players that kick-started Pompey's downfall and contributed to Pompey's current financial rot. Not the brightest bunch down there ("tell us something we don't already know Trousers")

"Pompey boys" in the good times; money-grabbing villains in the bad...

@NabilHassan79: #pompey Administrators of the club confirm that the case to decide Fratton Park valuation will be heard by 19 April at the latest.

FFS

And when is the deadline for their league membership getting revoked?

That's cutting it mighty fine!

PKF: "The court was made aware correspondence has been exchanged between Football League & Portpin which seems to lead to some ambiguity with the League's previous public statements no other bid would be considered at this late stage. We'll be seeking clarification from the League as a matter of urgency

[h=1]Portsmouth FC - update[/h]

21 February 2013: A spokesman for PKF said: “We are pressing ahead with the case that is seeking the court’s consent for the disposal of Fratton Park to the PST.

"The court has this morning confirmed that the case will be heard by 19 April at the latest, which will enable us to meet the Football League's deadline for the sale of the club, subject to a favourable ruling. We hope that, in the next few days, the court will be able to set a specific date for this hearing.

"The court was also made aware that correspondence has been exchanged between the Football League and Portpin which seems to lead to some ambiguity with the League's previous public statements that no other bid would be considered at this late stage. We will be seeking clarification from the League as a matter of urgency."

And what a shame it would be if Portpin lost but were given leave to appeal and that appeal couldn't be heard until early May? Wouldn't that be convenient for PKF and Portpin but mightily unfortunate for the PST? :suspicious:

Do any of our legal eagles on here know for sure whether Portpin would automatically have the right to appeal if the court agrees with the Trust's valuation? If it's a certainty that they have that legal right then it's "game over", surely?
