Pompey Takeover Saga

How bad is it for Micah Hall?

Could it end up affecting the takeover?

I very much doubt it's much at all. Just an expensive lawyer throwing their weight around on behalf of a rich client, and Hall/Farmery doing the smart thing and acceding. POL seem to think the blog in question was taken down as a technicality, rather than a point of proper libel.

Hmm but IF they have given enough ammunition to actually take out a case against the head honchos in PDT it will hurt them to hell and back, distract their attention from the job at hand and even IF it doesn't go to court it could still make an enormous dent in their cash

Micah Hall isn't a head honcho from the PDT. Even Colin the Farmer is only a spokesman, he conceded himself that he didn't really have the full picture at times. Neither of them are amongst the HNW brigade who are disguising their consortium as some form of fans' buyout.

So why is the blog in question still up then?

Assuming of course that is the blog in question - or have I missed something?

One of the backers behind the failed Harris bid was Pascal Najadi, according to the Guardian. His self published autobiography is available on Amazon. A reviewer comments:

A brilliant and inspirational story from a charismatic figure! A fascinating story not only from a historical point of view, the rise of the Arab and Asian world, but touching from a human perspective, the story of a man who is never defeated and goes ahead despite of the adversities of his personal and his country's history. Last but not least, from a literary point of view, this autobiography is a masterpiece, its characters are beautifully portrayed, the story is superbly told in and you feel the perfume of 1001 and one nights, and the salty smell of the sea.

A humble man, then and one that seems well suited to Pompey and the salty smell of the sea...

Hall apparently traced a link from him to Roman Dubov via Najadi's son and seemed to suggest that they were all less than fit and proper. I didn't believe it for a minute and after reading his blog, felt more and more comfortable about Harris's bid for the future welfare of this great club. I am sure I join many Saints fans in welcoming the removal of the disgraceful smear attempt by Hall and hope that the PFA can help revive this bid, if only for the sake of this thread...

Just for Micah Hall's benefit, this is one of the people you may have pi $$ed off. If you see him at your front door in Gosport, best not to answer...

Carlisle fans packing that particular area of the shack, not a bad turnout. But even if it is one of their furthest away days, there should be more considering it's like a cup final for them. We all know 1000s were locked out of Brunton Park at the reverse fixture...

And according to Twitter, their bestest bestest fan only just turned up!

Listening to the game.... You can hear the players shouting. Is it behind closed doors? No joke, no one is singing. This can't be the bestest, surely

Listen carefully, you can just about make it out:

'Don't wind up the billionaire,' they sing.

'Never mind yer keyboard art,'

'Watch out - watch out! - for lawyers smart'

'They'll make you wish you'd plugged yer ring'

BBC says 11,466 there today? 56 minutes gone and not one shot yet, not even on target and Carlisle have had 56% possession. You can surely understand why they are now so quiet, it must be absolutely mind numbing watching them (assuming you have a mind that is).

Like the way they publish the real time crowd figure on the blue roof front hoarding. Actually, change crowd for attendance for a more accurate definition
