Pompey Takeover Saga

I'm off to see if Firstrow sports have a stream for Hartlepool... if not I'll just have to watch Celtic-Juve, which won't be half as much fun...

There's a stream of the Argentina vs Chile beach soccer game....but nothing from Hartlepool.... another sign of how far Pompey have fallen I guess.... :)

Let us not forget that Hartlepoole held Swansea to a draw - away - on Saturday. That counts as a good result, and they appear to be playing the same team tonight.

They must be favourites and the skates should be worried. I mean more worried

They'd have probably done even better if they hadn't played away at Swindon on the same day!!

Swansea/Swindon.....

Both sh*tholes i'll give him that.....

I stand corrected

Its about time the bile the certifiable one is blogging about potential investors ceases or becomes more balanced and measured ! You never know, we might need these people sooner than later, after all, they have provided proof of funds to PKF and they have satisfied the creditors committee. Something of course the PST have yet to achieve and they have had the opportunity since October 17th 2012. Does everyone realise if the court case is lost, which legal opinion believes it will be, then our prospects are liquidation ! Thats the result of the Football League insisting that its PST win or bust ! Its about time the silent majority started to voice their opinion about the Clubs predicament rather than allow these bullying fanatics to paint this one dimensional picture of the real fans ![/TD]

Some half time reading....Oh dear

The usual guff about it being solely the FL's job to weed out dodgy owners...no it's not....read the FPPT rules Pompey fans FFS.... And, for the umpteenth time, if the FPPT rules had been more stringent 3 years ago you would have lost your cesspit of a football club long before now... #sigh

Love these two posts from that thread...

Now there's a thought. The new owners should have had to put up a £5 million bond with the FL/FA.

Not including the trust in that last statement or we will be in the sh-t.

Portsmouth FC ‏@officialpompey

Hartlepool think there's been a handball in the box, but the referee's not interested (90+3 mins) #Pompey

Pompey's Blues ‏@PompeysBlues

Hartlepool should have penalty as Sodje handles in the box, Ref says no for once we get a lucky decision, Full Time 0-0 #pompey

not so much a 0-0 draw, more of a suicide pact where the failure to win did neither team any favours.

So that is the longest winless run in their two year history, and for the previous 100+years before that.

No doubt a solitary point at the bottom side in League One will be fed into the spin machine and translated overnight into a glorious victory, a battling clean sheet against the odds, or maybe a launch platform for a late promotion challenge.

And that's before the plucky 280 fail to realise the game has finished and continue to slur drunkenly watched by bored stewards - incredible support!

It's going to take ages to get home if they intend to stop at every station and hang a flag the wrong way round.

Either way they can cancel the bus tour of the city.

Its official - the bus is unavailable to them owing to the bus company declining their request for credit :D

Where did 280 come from?!?! There was one coach load only, as reported by Solent.

What's that, 70 tops???

You're forgetting that those are 70 of the bestest. Each of them are easily worth 4 of any ordinary supporter so 280 is prob'ly an underestimate. Why, those pluckiest 70 are prob'ly still celebrating their point by lifting their voices in song as the stewards gently usher their tired charges to the waiting charabanc: "WTFILN", they sing. "You faaaaaaaaaaackin' scummaaaaaaahs ain't got nowt wiv yer poncy wheelchairs that won't fight back an' yer deserted station". Bless

"This is tough for everybody and it is something that we haven't brought on ourselves. It's where we are," he continued.

"It would be great to give the fans a lift and something to be cheerful about. This is none of their doing. They come and are faithful, they have been fantastic and it is because of them we keep going.

"What you have to remember is what we are working against. Nobody here is responsible for this situation we are in. The people that are responsible aren't here and it is the fans that are suffering and the great staff. "

Breathtaking.

PCC approved £9m of cuts to services today. That £30m in unpaid taxes sure could have come in handy.

But you try and tell any Pompey fan that tax avoidance isn't a victimless crime? They'll no doubt whinge about government cuts without the slightest twinge of guilt...

So, Guy my friend....given that the past overspending was nothing to do with the current club, I assume you'll be urging the fans to also dis-own the victories and triumphs built on a foundation of unsustainable spending too...?

Nah, thought not... #hypocrites

Sorry Guy but that's lies. The overspending has continued under the stewardship of the people currently at Cheats FC.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/portsmouth/9866096/Supporters-Trust-closing-in-on-Portsmouth-deal.html

The PST offer will go back to the High Court on Thursday, where they hope to get a judge to force former owner Balram Chainrai to accept around £3 million for his charge over Fratton Park.

Administrator Trevor Birch told Telegraph Sport on Tuesday that he was proceeding with the PST bid, and said the trust had the money to complete the deal if the court gave approval. He confirmed that he had recommended Harris’s rival offer to creditors before the Football League stepped in, largely because it would not require High Court approval.

“The Harris bid would have left creditors marginally better off but would not have required court approval. But the Football League have made their statement and we are ploughing on with the PST offer,” he said.
