rallyboy Posted 15 November, 2012 Share Posted 15 November, 2012 you have to take your hat off to them, I didn't think it was possible, but this is a significant day, and all parties should congratulate themselves. It's a great day for anyone involved in administration or the legal profession, they are going to make a fortune. Equally, anyone involved in property development, the contractors, estate agents in both residential and commercial - they are all set to do well from this deal. Let's not forget the politicians, they all stood up, offered hollow promises to woo dim voters, and they can now push their way to the front of the photos. This is truly a trailblazing deal. Not a great day for creditors or taxpayers, but that's not news. ....Not that it is 'a deal', it's just a very small step on the long long road towards a deal. All the stumbling blocks remain, I just await the Trust glossing over all the issues listed yesterday, and pretending the points penalty is up for debate. So behind the hype and the spin it's probably just another great day for property developers. I look forward to seeing an analysis of the detail, will the figures stack up?.... Chez Posted 15 November, 2012 Share Posted 15 November, 2012 OK, Asda, Morrisons and Waitrose then... OK, forget Waitrose.. There's already a Lidl nearby. Aldi? It's a Lidl rather than an Aldi on Goldsmith Avenue. There is an ASDA half a mile away from **** park, a new Morrison's was built at the end of the M275 (close to the nearly refitted Sainsburys) and Waitrose has a store already in Southsea. Tesco is the only player without a large store on the island.

hutch Posted 15 November, 2012 Share Posted 15 November, 2012 Rival bidder for Portsmouth Football Club, Portpin, has issued this statement: We still believe our bid remains the best offer for the future of Portsmouth Football Club. We remain ready to complete the deal in a matter of days, should the Trust be unsuccessful. That is our intention, and despite ill-informed gossip to the contrary, the Football League have not rejected our application. The Trust’s bid is conditional on securing a deal to flip Fratton Park and sell it to property developers. The money raised from that sale is vital to fund their bid and yet the rental agreement will ratchet up costs and put the Club under more pressure every year that goes by. We believe that keeping Fratton Park under the ownership of the Club–which our bid guarantees–is of paramount importance to the future of Portsmouth Football Club if it is to remain at the heart of the community. Depressed of Shirley Posted 15 November, 2012 Share Posted 15 November, 2012 Rival bidder for Portsmouth Football Club, Portpin, has issued this statement: As much as P****y fans hate Chinny, his statement reflects what the PST will come up against in terms of rent over the coming years. dubai_phil Posted 15 November, 2012 Share Posted 15 November, 2012 I just want to stop by and take this opportunity to congratulate PST, all their leadership, all the fans who have given their time and money to save their beloved club. Also, a special note of thanks and respect to Trevor Birch and his team for having the dedication and nerve to give PST time to get their package together to offer a unique new model to Football Club Ownership within the United Kingdom. I am sure with such a dedicated team of professionals they will now move forwards and I am sure that the club will now go from strength to strength. I shall miss this thread, (which clearly will have to be closed down now) it has been a journey and an education to all of those who have sailed on, or who have lurked alongside) I shall miss the expressive wit and eloquent repartee of Mack as much as I miss the in depth research and analysis of that former member Corp Ho. To all my fellow nutjobs, now that the end is here, may you live long and prosper as you use these years of experience to take forward your new careers as Investigative Journalists (I heard there are some vacancies in the UK at the moment for Top Quality Management in that field), or as M&A Consultants working at the very pinnacle of global markets. May your Cellars never run dry and may your God(s) go with you. Mods. Close the thread, archive it safely. Couldn't not wouldn't. Allen knows **** all. Luton Town lost 10 points for breaching regulations about paying agents from non club bank accounts, the question is have any FA regulations been breached by Jacobs et al? If they have then absolutely no reason why PFC2012 (or whatever guise they are going by this week) should be exempt from similar penalties. This is separate from failing to honour the first CVA and should be treated as such. Edited 15 November, 2012 by Chez
