Pompey Takeover Saga

Well actually, you have to go back a step earlier than that. Before all this started PFC had £0 in the bank, then they were given £30k to use for the benefit of their fans and had £30k in the bank. Now they will allow people who otherwise would not have gone to Fratton (ie not theirfans) to go, at no cost to the club, and will end up with £30k in the bank (plus a few bob from selling programmes and food etc) , which they can spend on things which are still not to the benefit of their fans, such as PKF's fees for 3 or 4 days.

It all makes perfect sense.

:lol::lol:

I think you downplay it somewhat!

168 tickets are being made available per match, which for the entire £30K coming in equates to £12.00 per ticket. So an extra £2,000 per match day. That's just about enough funding to pay for Tricky Trev's time to turn up and watch the match!

so the fans won a cash prize by naively promoting a utility company's social media campaign...

And after much debate about it not being used to pay off debts, rather than using it to do something useful, the club has indeed trousered it.

Nice.

Which means that the bulk of the bestest fans' cash prize is likely to be pocketed next week by Mr Chanrai.

It's not going to clear much of his debt, but it's a start.

Tweet an advert, win Chinny some cash.

Well done everyone, good effort, not a waste of time at all.

It seems that Tricky Trev has and I quote from one of the Blue Phew 'Trevor Birch had been taken out of the loop by PKF 10 days ago'. Could it be someone has rumbled his cunning plan of creating deadlines and then moving them so he can rack up £M's of charges - surely not??

I think they spotted his cunning ruse of actually looking like he was ready to make a decision one way or the other; we're now back into a holding pattern of evaluating all bids received (and clocking up the timesheets at that average rate of £299 for however many PKF employees are currently "working" on the PFC case.

moran.jpg

Irony not lost on some; then. I get a 'hard-on' when I get a mention on rivals spaz boards. I have already managed it on KUMB, some Manure site and a Spuds board.

What I am really looking for is a mention on POL, for the irony of Portsmouth moerons calling me a moran. Which I am, of course. + a nut-job.

I actually 'dig' they're approach. It could be a new model for lower league clubs. Basically, it's like going round the park asking subs if you 'want to play for our team'. Other L1 teams should adopt this - so long as you get decent players, you don;t have to build a team ethos, you just have to build a 'Wild Geese' mentality. Job done!

i posted similar recently. No loyalty bonusses and and signing on fees, no wages to pay during the summer.

There are lots of decent footballers around without contracts.

This doesn't really qualify for inclusion in this thread although both clubs are basket cases so here goes...

@TonyHusbandBBC: RT @NabilHassan79: #afcb chairman Eddie Mitchell reveals he made the decision to sack Paul Groves while in the shower this morning.

Well, it made me chuckle anyway.

Well Birch, not PKF, was appointed joint administrator by the court. He remains joint administrator. Not sure that PKF can do a whole lot about that...

A thread on POL has been started to rival the nutjobs of the Pompey Takeover Saga, it has a massive 4 posts.

Here's one of the quotes from it though

saintsfc borrowing money from a shady BVI company AND work on training ground redevelopment suspended. PKF's next big assignment perhaps as well?

There will be 14 packs available for each game – although more might be available for higher-profile matches

So let me get this right, they're going to give away MORE tickets for the games that have any potential to sell out (HAHAHAHA)

Massive club... massive.

The toyman and Fartoniser have waded in on POL

For all those lurking scummers on here who have been giving it the large one about how secure their future is

ROTFPMSL

I find saying nothing but sitting here with a smug grin is far more satisfying - it gives them such little attention whilst at the same time allows me to enjoy what goes around comes around

LOL! A sniff of some loan that's been taken out and suddenly it's karma, our future is in doubt, we're going bust, blah blah blah

The scummer thread about us is mainly the work of about a dozen posters on there with a few others chipping in every now and again. The bulk of their membership, probably don't even bother with it and probably think the same as we do about their obsessed dozen.

Roughly 150 posters with over 100 posts in this thread suggests more than a passing interest from a lot of people.

Don't forget Mummy and/or Daddy have to buy a ticket to accompany little Johnny to Krap Nottarf. So Cheats FC can cash in on these extra suckers as well.

You have to hand it to the Cheats: they've made screwing all and sundry into quite a fine art .

Corp Ho, the man who came out with the following:

Expansion of Fratton to 30,000 is covered by funding from Tesco to build a supermarket on land adjacent to the ground owned by PFC. Well documented. A new stadium would cost far more (if it ever happens) but it's also been widely reported that if we were to build a new stadium at Horsea then the FA would contribute towards the costs. Who knows if that will ever happen.

Cost of redeveloping Fratton has been reported as £22m which sounds about right to me. New stadium builds tend to cost around £2m per seat (ie a 30K stadium would cost around £60m) so an increase in capacity of 10,000 for £22m sounds right. Tesco have been reported as willing to pay around 70% of this cost. That would leave Pompey to find around £6.5.

IF (big if) Horsea ever did get the go ahead then you're right, we'd probably get around £10m for the land Fratton stands on. Seems like a decent deal all round.

The same Corporate Ho, sorry "Banker" who now constantly claims that the Trust's offer of £2.75M for Fortress Fatpipe is fair and reasonable and Portpin should just accept it?

Fisher Price must be so very proud of their idiot employee.

OK nutjobs, how about a little sweepstake on either the date that PKF finally make a formal announcement on which bid (if any) has been successful or on the date that Birchy comes out of hiding and gives us all an update on his golf handicap, sorry, I mean progress towards a successful sale.

Progress Update: 10th October

Successful bid (or liquidation!): 7th December

Pity those questions weren't asked when things were going well.

Wow, what a bombshell today- the first admission of guilt!!!

It’s horrible, morally it isn’t right, I know that. The situation is difficult but I feel like I have been doing that every single week since the season started. - UnAppy.

He's only talking about treating players badly, but it's a start.

The few are taking his rather old school Spartan attitude to player fitness as proof that they are not cheating by outbidding bigger clubs.

They still confuse quantity with quality - it's not the numbers that annoys others, it's the actual class of players you're getting! :?

And I forgot that they got away with the holding company going into admin - so many let-offs, so much criminality swept under the carpet, and still they blame everyone else.

What happens next?

Portpin are declined a FaPP test pass, a new mysterious consortium emerges from the shadows with exactly the same offer - probably called Pinport or Portpin2012, the people behind it will be unknown businessmen with no connection to Chanrai whatsoever.

Sort of.

He's going nowhere.

Seem the investigative journalist of the year is a little rattled.

Neil Allen ‏@pn_neil_allen

My, my, dirty war becomes dirtier. Now attempts to discredit me claiming I've been offered a Trust job. Grubby and malicious lies. #Pompey

That last bit is a reference to his pieces in the News over the last couple of years, right?

As for people trying to discredit him, he's managed to do that quite nicely to himself.

Miland owned the car park which apparently PFC no longer have access to so pressure being applied to PKF and Portpin

Well let's hope that Portpin and PST have budgeted for the ransom demands from Mr Pritchard then.

Or even better, let's Pritchard and his investors in this "development opportunity" are successful in their bid. No reason for alarms bells to ring at all.

Assuming, of course, Pritchard isn't just doing this on behalf of his friend, Mr Chinnery. :suspicious:
