You have been banned for the following reason: Told you I'd find you - on your bike Kraken, you're banned scummer! Byee, Frattoniser. Your ban will be lifted on Jan 30, 2018.

I was keeping it under my hat for a week to see if frattoniser would admit that he was wrong and lift the ban ;)

In true arrogant Pompey fan style he didn't!

So, to be fair, he did hunt down a dirty stinking fackin scammah kaaaaaant! It's just that he got the wrong one - even though his b-anning message is so certain that he got the one he was after ;) More luck than judgement I'd say ;)

I'm sure Notts County were lucky and the battling, plucky heroes are swimming against the tide. I mean, how can they be "competitive" with only the 3rd, possibly 2nd highest wage bill in the division?

Big Ron Atkinson >>>>> John Beck >>>>>> Stuart Gray >>>> Steve Bleadsdale >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Michael Appleton

they must be drifting into the territory of getting relegated on merit and carrying over the minus 10 to start next season.

If there is a next season.

Must have have been like a cup final for little Notts County, having a massive club come to town.

No doubt the intimidating travelling blue army barracked Bart for 90mins and frightened the poor fella into a clean sheet.

You'd hope there might be a bit of reality biting down east, that cup final is getting more expensive with every week that goes by - just need some acceptance of the reality and we are halfway towards having some sympathy with the few*

At least there was one winner today - Trev trousered another £9K.

*not really.

3-0 Are they bottom yet?
the minus 10 points would leave them 11 points from safety, having played a game more. Maybe the PST budget will allow them to spend a million on the next Lambert to see them out of trouble and challenging for promotion the season after.

For me, seeing them lose week in week out is the payback much requested on here. Hope they survive so it can continue. Great days.

Some comments from POL tonight

The starting XI is the envy of 80% of this league

if u want to blame someone blame birch who has done more harm then good and barely been better then AA

So...who'd swap our situation tonight with Birmingham's?

I was never into the 'wanting to be competitive' business - we have a club, we are looking more likely to come out of admin than liquidated...if we're very lucky we might even be rid of Chanscum!

On paper, at the start of the season, I was guilty of thinking this team would do well.

Problem is, I forgot to look at the other 23 pieces of paper containing squads we have to play against.

A few of the few are slowly starting to see some sense...

back in the good old days It didn't matter about the results , when we played away if we weren't beaten that was classed as a bonus , we were in div 4 for a reason, our levels of expectation were a lot lower , the problem now is that we have eaten from the top table and our levels of expectation have been raised and I now feel that we need to lower them .

Whoever takes over, my opinion is that things are going to get worse before they get better.

Time to rip it up and start again.

Yes, a Phoenix club would start in non-league. But I'd rather start with a clean slate and build towards something over the next five years than fight against the inevitable, and have the same cyclical conversations.

We need to rebuild and we need a clean slate! That will only come under the trust in league2

The basement league is a platform to rebuild IMHO.

If Portpin get the yes this week then PST should kick start the phoenix route in preperation for next season

Oh, and Hi Frattoniser ;)

I've actually been in Nottingham the last couple of days to see an ex-Superintendent I worked under years ago. He's been a Notts County ST holder since he retired and he got me a ticket for today's game.

I did spend half the game asking his son to check his android alien thing for a Saints-Villa score update but saw most of it.

If anyone on here is still worried that Pompey might get promoted this year, relax. They did try, but they were absolutely AWFUL. :D

In their best period they kept County at bay in midfield and any attack they had resorted in a long range shot. They created one half decent chance in the entire match. County didn't play well and gave it away a lot but they easily had enough.

Based on that I'd be amazed if Pompey stayed up, 10 point deduction or not. The match was like a Conference South side trying to stifle a League 1 side in the FA cup. Speaking of the FA Cup, I am PRAYING we draw them this season after that.

They have to win 2x games to get to the third round, can't imagine they will manage that at this rate.

Good win for you lot. I watched your game. Gaston Ramirez looks good, Clyne looks good and early days but can't see you being relegated. You can kick on from there and achieve Nicola's dream. As for my dream, I only want to see PST take control. I'd happily accept years and years of Div 4 to get control of the club. Despite what you may say, if the conditions are right we can sustain it. If Portpin take over, despite having a ST I will not set foot in FP again. But if they don't and PST can claim our club back, it would be my proudest moment as a Pompey fan by far. As for our rivalry, maybe you can develop a more meaningful rivalry with Reading or maybe Brighton can emulate your success and creep up to fill the void. Failing that you can jump up and down and try to get on Tottenhams Radar like you did last time round.

Haha, ah the bitter skate trying to have a little dig and tell himself things aren't so bad. Love it, keep bringing us all these laughs. The Tottenham thing back then was due to the hoddle situation....you remember Tottenham right? The team you jumped up and down and tried to make a massive rivalry with over saggy chops leaving them for you? Your FA cup semi final revenge win? Love the hypocrisy of these hilarious little skates as their tinpot club free falls down the leagues. Still, what great fans.

The only way for you to shake of Portpin once and for all is to abandon Portsmouth Football Club (insert last year of administration) Ltd en masse and start a Phoenix club. If you'd done that last time you'd be years ahead of where you'll end up, all because you're obsessed with clinging onto the rotting carcass due to some bizarre 'logic' that it would be disloyal to abandon ship.

Apologies for pointing out the obvious for the umpteenth time...

LOL, you got me! I'm suppa serious about the PST. Trust or Bust.

It is disloyal. **** analogy time, How could a parent you try for another son, when the one you got is on life support, cos it got into a car that crashed, driven by some wicked buggers. At this point it CAN be saved.

Embarressed by that stupid analogy, but it still holds true.

if Chanrai takes charge you are more than welcome to come and watch our very own Prosinecki at SMS.

Thanks Chez, but that's another line that cannot be crossed. I'd not go to any matches anywhere, I barely watch football now anyway, its all NFL & College football sat, sun as it is, jaded by our time in the PL and was prior to our Cup win.

Prosinecki was 48 when he arrived at FP and smoked 40 a day, still love him! Ramirez will turn out to be a good investment! Might spark off your 'new' rivalry when one of the bigger boys turns his head in the summer. ;)

You appear to be filling your time by coming back on here. Why the return? The nutjobs on here are no less forgiving than when you departed. Have you been mistakenly banned from POL?

I hear this `jaded by time in the Prem' a lot. Is it the prices or the uncompetitiveness and repetitiveness of it all?

10,229 more to go.

You can now join the "Hold Their Heads High" skates who drink up in Deacons in Salisbury. They got it a couple of years ago despite having been "been big enough fans" to have been mentioned in numerous books (possibly really amongst the bestest before they stopped going)

Your analogy of the Child is all well and good, but again reality is critical - IF ONLY are the two worst words in the English Language.

IF ONLY you had seen the terminal cancer for what it really was. If Only you had produced your own new baby, they would have been walking and talking by now.

Tough Call, you guys made the wrong one. get over it and move on.

Oh yeah?? The first sniff of an Arab "billionaire" or an underwater hotel magnate and it will be "s*d the trust - lets get Maradona and Riquelme into our team."

Maradona and Riquelme may well be in their 60's by the time that happens but I am sure that they will still be better than the crud that will be wearing the Pompey shirt at the time.

Replace "son injured in car accident" with "rabied dog" and we both have anologies that hold true....

...although mine would obviously be a closer match to reality....

You choose football clubs, pets, etc....you don't choose your children (unless you're Angelina Jolie of course). Nice try though.

How would you feel about the Wessex League or Conference South, both being equally strong possibilities?

Oh, and your Father/son analogy (talking as one who's had a daughter involved in a RTA) I find pretty unsavoury. If anything, PFC is more akin to a faithless son who's had a couple of jail terms for crack dealing and is currently on remand awaiting sentencing for handling stolen goods.

Good analogy! More in keeping with the serial, habitual and self-serving nature of their offences (although Trousers' rabid dog has a resonance too).

After clearing out my loft this weekend I came across something that showed me how things weren't that much different 17 and a half years ago for Plucky Pompey...

The vendors are unlikely to be too bothered who buys, as long as they come up with the asking price and there is no guarantee that it will go to someone who will lavish the care and attention upon it it deserves

The whole of that 'Mixed reactions' paragraph is just brilliant.

I dunno really, I enjoy the exchanges. It can get a bit much sometimes and the bile chucked down from a position of superiority seems a bit OTT and cheap/easy, but then I remember when the roles were reversed I wanted Saints to go out of business, I wasn't any better than the most malicious on here, I never vocalised it, but this is your board and I wouldn't of done it, some weird politeness or summink, I dunno? It Didn't stop me from wishing the demise of something much loved by friends and even a large proportion of my family, so carry on filling yer boots, I get it. I also believe 4 or 5 years down the line you'll find an edge missing, but you could of told me that at the time of your near demise and I wouldn't of given a **** so, meh.

Premiership, hmm. Ok I'm trying to be honest, loved it at first, loved and hated the Derbies. Saints got relegated, loved it, Pompey start signing 'Superstars', loved it, started obsessing over who we would get next? Reading every bit of media linking us to this and that. Prices started escalating and started to feel that it wasn't worth it and that it was a rip off. My least favourite season was the year we finished 8th, I felt the crowd became spoilt and the atmosphere DEFINATELY declined, the FA cup win was good, but not as good as you would expect. I quite enjoyed the Season we got relegated, it was exciting and the FA cup appearance against Chelsea really good.

I can honestly say at this point I was not bothered about being out the Prem. It became cheaper and more games on Saturday, I was so fed up of stupid kick-off times and days. I enjoyed the Championship, but then that was the level I had grown up supporting Pompey at. For that reason I don't believe most Saints fans will become dissallusioned with the prem, it's what many will of grown up with but personally i think the best position to be in is like a West Brom, one year a relegation battle, survive, next year a battle that you lose, then a promotion season, to my mind thats so exciting! I do think the premier league somehow sucks the soul out of a fan base, but I don't think it's been scientifically proven?

That is bull and you know it.......

Nope, I won't. I can't watch the carcass being raped by the Hong Kong dog ****er. Already told my wife, not sure if she'll follow suit, but I will not go whilst Portpin are at the helm.

Honestly, this is not what I want. I'd be happy to get my team back into a position where our rivalry would be relevant again, but no excesses, it really didn't suit us.

But to many of your lot the excesses are now positively expected.

This is how the Trust will fail, there will be elements who will not be able to understand that a self run Portsmouth Football Club will not be able to simply stride up the leagues and back into the top flight.

Those involved will either then get dissillusioned and leave or over-reach themselves.

I think you've got a fair point there. The older heads at Pimpley will be fine with hanging around the lower leagues.. the problem is that the very early 20's and teenagers who have pretty much had Pimpley in the PL for most of their football supporting life, they honestly believe and expect pimply to be a PL club, when most sane supporters know otherwise... except for that mentalist Joe whatever his name is.....
