Good turnout by the greatest fans in the entire universe.

 

I seem to remember us getting 14,000 for a JPT game live on Sky, think it may have been Charlton. Unsure if tickets were as cheap as theirs.

I wouldn't get too boastful. In our first ever JPT game (2009-10) against Charlton we got just over 9,000.

why are they NOT packing the park..?

 

They only pack the park for league games apparently such as the massive 12k who went on Saturday. Apparently Appy had told fans to stay away tonight so that the game, and fratton park in particular, doesn't appear to big for the referee.

Did anyone else notice on the boards behind Appleton and Groves in the pre-match interview it had the logo of Convers Sports Initiatives? wtf! :D

 

Can someone get a screenshot of it at the end of the game when they do post match interviews.

I wouldn't get too boastful. In our first ever JPT game (2009-10) against Charlton we got just over 9,000.

 

1st game was against Torquay when we got 9,319. In the next round we played Charlton which was live on Sky and we had 13,906. Then 15,453 against Norwich, and 29,901 against MK Dons.

MK away for the semi first leg, there was around 7,000 in attendance (probably about half made up of Saints fans). Makes Pompey look good.

The Pompey Trust will be disappointed that they're only just over halfway to their 10,000 estimate for the cup games. In addition to the 5,318 for the Plymouth League Cup game.

2. Following on from this, if they DON'T pay these players whilst holding their registrations then surely they are denying these players the chance to earn a wage. I've said it before - I think that's 'restraint of trade' and this is illegal.

Hmm, wouldn't it be interesting if the Trust had undertaken a survey of its membership, and found that they DID NOT support outright fan ownership as is being claimed?
