washsaint Posted 15 August, 2012 Share Posted 15 August, 2012 They really are deluded...so the trialists will take a non-contract deal or month to month contract. And what happens if they get injured? Why would anyone take that risk (unless they cannot find another club)

Waterside.saint Posted 15 August, 2012 Share Posted 15 August, 2012 Well I for one hope, that those down the road can find some way to still exist. I believe they deserve the punishments they've been dished out and tbh some were long overdue, but whatever some of the more hard nosed on here say, I think Saints will be slightly diminished if we lose our arch enemies completely. As in, what would Bond be without Blofelt? or Tom without Jerry? Nah, I want the stinking corpse decently buried, which would be about the only decent thing its done recently. I'm sure in due course something will crawl forth from the grave, as in one of those cheaply-made Boris Karloff B-movies, moaning and whinging & snuffling: perhaps in 20 years it could be considered a 'rival' but hopefully I won't be around to see it

Daren W Posted 15 August, 2012 Share Posted 15 August, 2012 I'm unsure if this means they are getting away with it??? Old nick? Also, I will assume the trust take over. All sorts of self congratulating going on for a few weeks, then the reality of zero money will hit the average Pompey fan and the moaning will start Also, I give it till the end of the season before whoever is made king, has loads of other trustees gunning for him Oh, relegation is almost a certainty Old nick, getting away with it? And when you bear in mind how much back biting went on with the "Fan on the board" can you imagine how bad it could get with the fan being the board?? That club would tear itself apart... Couldn't happen to a nicer club...

dvaughanwilliams Posted 15 August, 2012 Share Posted 15 August, 2012 How did Chanrai get roped into pumping money into pfc in the first place? He sued Gaydamak Sr and won £17m in damages. Soon after he lent one of their owners, can't remember if it was Al-Fahim or Al-Faraj, a similar amount of money, secured on the assets of the club. Probably no connection between the 2 events though.
