Waterside.saint Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 @pn_neil_allen: Birch on Kanu: "I have spoken to his rep and am very hopeful of something being agreed over the weekend". Would settle £3m dispute. #Pompey He's a mug if he walks away from what he's owed
trousers Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 He's a mug if he walks away from what he's owed Yeah, but he'll become a hero (again) if he does. And it means he'll no longer be intimidated by fans whipped up into an aggressive verbal frenzy by local journalists...
andysstuff Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 He's a mug if he walks away from what he's owed Unless they aren't actually guaranteed anything under FCR - seems to me all bar TBH will have reached some sort of deal before the 10th now.
Pamplemousse Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 @cmsterne82 @pn_neil_allen my son Kai has just been invited to train with Pompey elite at 10yrs old. Got to be worth a rt #nextpompeystar?? They're getting a bit desperate for new players!
Joe Kirkup Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 Where is the money coming from to fund the compromise agreements? I thought TBs brief was to do the best job for the creditors? He seems to be paying more out on this than the 500K they've been offered? Together with his fees increasing daily how can he possibly have done his best for them?
Bearsy Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 Oh i wouldn't have thought they're actually paying the compromise agreements are they? That'd be a bit weird! Nah they're just agreeing that that they owe them the money and sometime down the line they'll be another reckoning bout another unpaid debt... All as per normal!

Rasiak-9- Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 So who ARE their players? I mean their actual players. Just academy kids on £200 a month or what?

OldNick Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 2-0 poopey :o:o:o:o:o this is why i want them gone forever, they can still return. All the talk of them being humilliated will go out of the window very quickly and they will muster a decent side from players who are free agents
Thedelldays Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 this is why i want them gone forever, they can still return. All the talk of them being humilliated will go out of the window very quickly and they will muster a decent side from players who are free agents its a friendly lol I remember all the doom and gloom when we drew 2-2 with yeovil last summer.....it had zero bearing though
trousers Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 (edited) Sha la la... They will have printed it like that on purpose as (a) to get a sympathy vote from 'the nation' and (b) to send a shot across the Football League's bows to say "look, if you don't let us sign more players we can't afford soon YOUR league is going to be a laughing stock. " In other words, they want people to laugh at them as an attention seeking ploy. Cue the Football League taking pity on them next week. A smart move by Pompey in the knowledge the FL will roll over like a puppy. Edited 4 August, 2012 by trousers
Saints foreva Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 Any idea how many of the worlds greatest supporters have turned up for this giant killing?
Danbert Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 But it's their forum, their rules. That's fair enough - nobody says that they have to allow other fans on their board if they don't want them. It just demonstrates that they're unable to have civilised discussions or banter without their knuckle draggers getting ferociously angry and upset. Or their board owner going off in a huff... What Guided Missile did could hardly be described as attempting civilised discussions or banter. I think their just fed up with the knuckle draggers from here posting on their site.
trousers Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 With Pompey being 3 up I make that c.£50m creditors' debt per goal. Superb value for money to keep them going...

sticksaint Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 I used to think they were going to be toast but now i`m starting to agree with old nick! Chanrai will save them, from today`s result it seems like they have some decent trialists! They won`t stick to their budget in League 1 ,outbidding everybody etc.And nothing will happen,no punishment etc. For me it has to be liquidation that`s the only way they will learn lessons. And i don`t like to see football clubs going out of business. But i can`t see any other way!
Winchester Red Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 It is bizarre Every other team has to watch what they spend so as to avoid getting into financial trouble and potential administration and then liquidation. The Skates seem to be immune to the final element and just revert back to stage 1 again

View From The Top Posted 4 August, 2012 Posted 4 August, 2012 Fu.cks sake, they were never going to be liquidated & for all those "they've got away with it brigade" do you actually know the sh.it storm they are in? Anyone who thinks that BC is going on a L1 spending spree is beyond deluded. He's simply going to ra.pe them before tossing PST the carcass.

Have you seen the conditions of the Golden Share? They can't do anything without the FL saying so. They're fu.cked for a generation.
