Presumably safety covers health also? If so it kind of stops TCWTB coming in.

Lol... Their web host has blocked them access to the site....it's up but no updates...

Even funnier when you consider Mr Birch's announcement the other day that ALL announcements from the club to the fans will be made through the official club website :)

I wonder if he still thinks the £2.5m in the bank can get them to the end of the season ;)

@pn_neil_allen: Fans singing 'Super #Pompey are staying up'. Game ended 20 minutes ago and they haven't drawn for breath! Incredible!! http://t.co/wXhRor9c

I think it's embarrassing, even more so when it's just the tiniest little group of them.

Such a small time pathetic little club. No more than lower, lower league. On their way down hopefully.

I'm so glad that when we went down and in admin we went down with dignity even though e did support the team. This awful 12th man, 'pack the park' and 'fortress fratton' is the most cringeworthy thing I have ever heard. Why do they swallow this cr*p?

The youtube videos take the biscuit...

Can someone give me an idiots guide to fan buyouts where over 40 million quid is needed?

Basiclly if every fan at FP today chucked in £2,277 they would be absolutely fine. Having said that some of the fans were kids and might not have enough pocket money for that. Oh, and that is dependant on 3,000 Leeds fans chucking in a couple of grand each aswell.

Until the next payday, at least.

From the Snoooooze site:

Published on Saturday 25 February 2012 09:16

STEWARDS, security staff and bar staff have been told they will be paid money they are owed for January and February, but not wages from Christmas.

The News understands some of these staff members were planning on staying at home today instead of working, putting Pompey’s match against Leeds in doubt.

But after being told they will definitely get their money for the first two months of this year they have backed down.

Trevor Birch, PKF joint administrator of Pompey, confirmed that was the case.

He said: ‘Every member of match-day staff was told they would be paid the money they are owed from the middle of January to the middle of February by the end of the month.’

A spokesman for PKF added: ‘But the money for December and January has not been paid.

‘We are doing everything we can to try and stabilise the situation.’

One member of staff, who wished to remain anonymous, told The News: ‘We will be working at the match because there’s nothing else we can do.

‘We’re still owed money from two years ago, and we want to get it back, however long it takes.

‘We’ve really just had enough, and we’re fed up of being owed money and not knowing when we’ll see it again, if ever.’

Er, can they do this, surely the staff are creditors just like anyone else??

Some of those poor people must have had a c rap Christmas. They have my sympathy. All the focus has been on players, their number and their wages but the 'small men' at the club have it within their power to completely disrupt the games, sounds like they are at breaking point and any further loss of wages will see a walk out and who could blame them

Pre match talk on Talksport said that Norris was on the Pompey bench, Leeds wanted him but "were blown out of the water" with PFC's wage offer.

They deserve all the worst that is (hopefully) coming to them, if they can't see the season out on life support then terminate them, dock all points and finish one team short, why let them hang on running up more debts.

Yes heard that, Adrian Durham (normally a complete *****) really has the skates firmly in his sights. And this statement really sums up why they are so in the s**t once again. Blatant cheating, seems that a lot of people are running out of patients with the blue few now, and about time to!

yeah two of their injured players chucked their crutches down when Billy Graham came in the dressing room at half time.

so Liam Lawrence's Pack my Wallet campaign turned into a bit of a damp squib then...

That pocket of muddy children that stayed behind looks about the same size as last time - described by some media as several thousand strong.

Might sound a silly question but what exactly are they staying behind for?

What is the point?

Surely you give the team better support by doing it before the loyal heroes tip your cash into their boot and drive home to London.

This is just people who don't want to go home - understandable, but they have to - there's hedgehog for tea, and those sisters don't impregnate themselves.

Oh well, another lesson learned by Birch, you only sell out when a big club comes to town and people pay to see them.

Been a funny sort of week to the east.

Made me laugh anyway, even if Sour Mash doesn't quite get it yet and wants this thread closed.

Chill SM, don't visit if it upsets you. :)

The equation that simplifies it.

They are our rivals + They heaped abuse on us + They are having a nightmare = (funny x 100)

Yes they can do it. In fact it what they should be doing. The staff are creditors and PKF are just first paying off the creditors who are key to keeping the club going (without the club staff working there will be no games and no income stream from the fan). It could of course backfire as they are diluting the non HMRC & co portion of the unsecured debt, giving HMRC & Co a larger percentage going into a CVA vote.

Same reason as they always do, I fear. TV cameras. Whenever they were on Sky they played up to their bestest-fans-in-the-worldTM mantra but as soon as Keys and Gray had slithered out of ground it was back to 75% capacities and away followings that would make Barnet blush.

Hail the bestestestestetstest! If Henry and Ronaldinho think they're the best, they must be.

Well if that was for the TV cameras it's backfired spectacularly. Can't see too many people watching that thinking "what wonderful support, what's happened to the club is such a shame on all those bestest fans" probably more like "wtf, it doesn't matter what's happened, those fans are a shame to the club"
