If Lampitt did anything he shouldn't have done legally, and it's discovered, he'll get done for it. It doesn't matter that he's not a director anymore.

He can walk on water--remember he was the FA's Head of Integrity.

Sheanne: Q: Will the Football League allow us to sell players at the transfer window?

I f()cking hope not... they had a whole month to do so and they flatly refused. F()ck 'em.

Sheanne: Birch said the only way to do that is to jointly agree to terminate a contract with the player, making them a free agent or lend players out

That's more like it.

TB players can not be sold. Contracts may be cancelled by mutual consent and they will then become free agents #Pompey

Have I got this right. Old Co played in the EPL and was due parachute money. New Co didn't and now the EPL are saying hat they might not give them any ££?

Even though they *did* give them money only last month... seems very odd.

£40M-£50M debt - that's over £100,000 a week since the last admin!
I suspect that figure includes the old CVA, Chinny's £17m etc not an additional loss since the last admin .... then again :)

Would love to see the source of this message and if it is true then expect me to be dancing in the street later.

Interesting to be getting the truth from the horse's mouth.

Debt - £40-50m

No parachute payments (?)

No early sales of season tickets in case they're liquidated.

Someone needs to ask why they're wasting their time sitting there flogging a dead horse.

It still puts the loss in the 18 months since they came out of admin at around £17m. In fact, that means that the loss is much more than £100k a week... :uhoh:

can't see that beng true. If they were going to makle that distinction they would have made at prior to giving them the most recent payment, not after.

[h=1]Portsmouth board trio among 30 to leave straitened club[/h]

Chief executive David Lampitt and two board members are among a raft of redundancies at Portsmouth.

The trio are among 30 to lose their jobs at the beleaguered Championship club, six days after it was placed into administration.

Administrator Trevor Birch said the club's financial situation was 'more serious' than expected.

None of the playing staff are being made redundant, but it is understood they are being asked to defer wages.

Birch said redundancies were being made across all levels and departments within the club.

Directors John Redgate and Nick Byrom are among those leaving the club.

"Additionally, we are asking certain employees to defer wages on an ongoing basis and are asking several members of staff to move from a full-time to a part-time role," Birch said.

"These measures are painful for everyone involved with the club, but they are essential for Portsmouth's survival, which is our main objective."

Portsmouth were deducted 10 points last week for going into administration for a second time in three years.

Birch continued: "To put it bluntly, Portsmouth Football Club has a Premier League cost base but only Championship income. This is not a sustainable situation and one that needs to be addressed urgently if the club is to continue to exist.

"As things stand, there is a serious risk the club could run out of cash within the next couple of months.

"I recognise that this is not the news that anyone wants to hear but burying our heads in the sand will not help anyone. Today's redundancies will make a difference to the club's financial position but there are sure to be further challenges ahead of us.

"Portsmouth's survival depends on us being able to find a buyer for the club before the money runs out."

The administrators, PKF, are due to meet supporters at a fans' forum on Wednesday night.

No new players, no new season tickets, no parachute payments and £50m debt?

Game over man, game over.

But they always wriggle out of it! How, just how can a legitimate business administrator mange that I wonder? Hmmmmmmmmm.

Sounds like Birch is trying to inject a little reality into the situation after the weekend parties where everyone celebrated "getting rid of Chanrai" (errrr, no you haven't) and having a "proper admin" and a rosey(arf) future.

Yeah guys, maybe not, eh?
