trousers Posted 17 February, 2012 Share Posted 17 February, 2012 think they will only get -10 as previous deductions seem to be for either exiting admin with no cva or not exiting admin before start of new season. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr IIRC, the Football League rule book has a "These are the rules but we can make up other rules as we go along" clause in it. Kingsland Red Posted 17 February, 2012 Share Posted 17 February, 2012 But did anybody want them ? If they were wanted and were holding out for big wages then they have really messed up with their wages being deferred to keep the club going. Therein lies the problem. Pompey's wage structure after the last admin being too high and tempting players who other clubs would offer and pay less to. Cheats

The9 Posted 17 February, 2012 Share Posted 17 February, 2012 (edited) I was going to provide a recap of previous deductions of more than 10 points, but Jesus there's some complex stuff out there. So here's Nick Owen off 80s telly to explain Luton's -30 in League Two (on top of their previous -10 for Admin that sent them down from League One in 2007/8 ). http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/luton_town/7438024.stm . The deduction was before the 2008/9 season started. Leeds' -15 was for exiting admin without a CVA (all Ken Bates' doing), http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leeds_united/6920103.stm - widely regarded as being the FL's way of getting back at Leeds as the -10 rules as they stand now weren't in place and they dodged the original -10 by going into admin when already in the relegation zone in the last week of the season : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6624731.stm. It was those fckers we had to blame for the deferred -10 which delayed our return to the Championship, as they changed the rules soon after. Leeds appealed the -15 and eventually an arbitration panel supported the FL. Rotherham in 2008 were deducted 17 points - like Leeds this was at the start of a season, again for failing to exit admin with a CVA - as HMRC were voting against all CVAs at the time, and still are, as they refuse to accept their new non-preferred role behind football creditors. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/r/rotherham_utd/7543195.stm AFC Bournemouth were also deducted 17 points at the start of 2008/9 (alongside Luton and Rotherham in League Two) due to having a previous insolvency within 2 years and for not having an agreed CVA. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1042684/Bournemouth-start-League-Two-17-point-deduction.html So basically what it looks like, is that Skate Cheats FC will get a minimum -10, plus whatever the FL decides to add to that - the areas in question are : Will the FL wait for them to exit the CVA for any additional punishment or has it been coincidence that the last 4 punishments over 10 points have happened in the summer ? and If even they have an extra punishment soon for their repeat admin, they could still get further punishment on exiting CVA, especially if HMRC aren't marginalised, as they are currently a big chunk of the debt. Assuming they get that far. Oh yeah, and they'd better hope none of their ex-money men own up to any irregular payments... ericb Posted 17 February, 2012 Share Posted 17 February, 2012 I was thinking if it's only minus ten we might get the chance to repay them for their cheating at West Brom to send us down, seeing as we have conventry last game wouldn't it be great to loan cov barnard and then depending on our situation throw the last game of the season against them? Strangely, I also think that is their best chance of actually becoming a Community owned club. The very last thing they need right now is another dreamer.
