Pompey Takeover Saga

that was a speedy decision by the judge....

Could it perhaps be 'tell you what Mr Andronikou, I think the business is insolvent, you tell me otherwise, I can't be arsed to argue it here, so let's just send someone else in to have a look and they can decide'.

With utilities cut off and the company unable to raise £400 for a scan, I can't see that this is a glorious victory for the club today.

As for the feeble, 'we were in a different league' argument, please, do yourself a favour and retain some dignity.

Re the squad, if any 'free' loan players do arrive with the costs (travel, hotel, food etc) involved, surely pompey will be the first company in UK history to take on new staff as part of a cost-cutting exercise.

You are in administration you t0ssers, forget loans, forget ref's decisions or whether it was a corner or a goal kick, the Barnsley game is totally irrelevent, you are trying to save the business, so for fecks sake stop talking about new players!!! :scared:

Nice to see the old dear on the scooter again, she looks like she's doing alright.

I reckon she'll get a few more outings yet.

It's beggars belief if some fool takes that 'BS' bribe of £500k for AA to be appointed administrator.

It goes to show what a mockery these Poopey owners think of the UK business market.

To me and more than likely everyone else, it looks like a bribe. Knowing full well AA is a puppet of his and without AA at the helm sorting him out he wont get what he wants from the Admin.

Crooks, the lot of them. Throw the fecking book at them and let them rot, this way it will send out a clear message to any dodgy investors looking to make a quick buck by pillaging a football team because it is seemingly an easy target with the FL's fit and propper persons test being a joke.

Judge questioning why it has taken so long for Pompey to go into admin when we've had no money

That's what I thought too. My theory is that by surviving the January window not in admin, they were able to hold onto the players they couldn't pay. If they get a ten point deduction, this gives them the best chance of staying in the division. Cheats.

Pompey and judge discussing conflict of interest

There is a clear conflict of interest. If Aa is administrator then it is ridiculous really.

I love this from Taskforce in the news:

"Can't we get the administrator scummers had he managed to find a good owner for them" - except it wasn't for the want of trying that he didn't manage to get us a potless no hoper.

Was it not in the original terms of the CVA? That they can basically change it when needed?

You could try reading it, eh, Hypo ;) FWIW it doesn't say anything of the sort. In essence it simply says that new PFC must pay Baker Tilley enough money not later than 4 years & 3 months after new PFC buys the assets from old PFC, to allow Baker Tilley to pay 20p in the £ (less expenses) to the creditors. There is nothing in the CVA to allow that 20p to be changed.

I thought it was only the schedule of payment AA could change not the final amount?

Nope, he can't do that either.

Among those creditors are fellow football clubs West Bromwich Albion, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bristol City, as well as the Football League itself. Portsmouth City Council is owed £78,000.

So they owe money to West Brom.... and they want to take Thorne back on loan? Strikes me that he might not have been a 'free' loan last time round, so why would now be any different?

What I would like to see happen is, with their squad so thin there is still a chance they might go down with out the -10 points if they do go down make them start in league 1 on -10. If the 10 points need to be taken at the end of the season to send them down then take them, thoughts.

We got a good buyer because we represented value for money.

As i recall Nicola and Markus were flabbergasted that Michael Fialka and Le Tiss's team got the preferred status over them; which is one of the reasons Le Tiss isn't incredibly popular with Nicola; so one would have to question Fry's motives on that one as he must have known Liebherr had money and that Fialka didn't show signs of it.

who was our administrator...?

mark fry...?

again, we got lucky really..I remember him being pretty open and honest about everything

He knocked back Markus Leibherr and gave preferred bidder to Mickey Fialka and the borrowed deposit from LC. Really smart there. Mike Osman told me about the rich blue chip Swiss and that the Pinnacle bid had no funds as the original backers had walked before that happened.

Just spoke to an insolvency expert friend of mine. It's not legal to change terms of a CVA without getting approval of creditors (so this not legal as HMRC not notified).

Also the gas and electricity will need to be turned back on per Section 233 of the Insolvency Act.

Just seen judge has proposed joint admin team of PKF and UHY. He's wise that one...like King Solomon! I'd be happy with that outcome, would be a great soap opera.

Some skate clown in twitter @samsingletonPFC is claiming our accounts for last year show we borrowed £20m off Leibherr? First I've heard of it. Can anyone set him straight?

And so we did, there's no mystery. All the money that the late Markus pumped into the club is shown as a shareholder loan in the accounts (those of 2009/10) but this isn't about us, it's about Skate FC.

But Le Tiss was not part of the team. He said he would help anyone who wanted to take over the club.

Liebherr did give Saints £20.4m and is listed in the 2009/10 accounts. Makes no mention of when or even if it has to be paid back. Cortese says there is no debt, so possibly the money just added to the value of the club when it is sold at some point in the future. No problem for Saints.

From his point of view it actually was, he got Leon Crouch to chuck a six figure sum in the bucket to pay the wages while he drew a fat salary before Marcus saved us.

That included the mortgage, overdraft, debts paid off plus working capital.

ML was ready to write out a cheque at that time. If he had walked away we were done for.
