trousers Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 anyone else not getting their posts through?? Aye...no luck here either :-(
hutch Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Doesn't sound good for them... Judge comments that Mr Andronikou's claim that the club could break even in administration was 'patently optimistic'. He adds: 'it seems the club will trade at a loss'. Straight for the throat with that one. It doesn't seem like Chuck needs to give them more time to provide any additional information to reach that conclusion. So now all they have to do is convince him that continuing to trade at a loss will be better for the creditors than shutting up shop now. Easy peasy, off you go, Andy.
Saint-scooby Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Seriously ? 530 ? what on earth do they all do ? I have no clue what our payroll is but i'd be surprised if it was that many. Unless of course that includes matchday staff, but mostly they'd be agency wouldn't they ? They have rent-a-supporter on the books, 500 out of work actors dress up and get paid to watch footie.
stevegrant Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Seriously ? 530 ? what on earth do they all do ? I have no clue what our payroll is but i'd be surprised if it was that many. Unless of course that includes matchday staff, but mostly they'd be agency wouldn't they ? According to our accounts for the year ended 30th June 2010 (the latest available from Companies House), the average number of employees during the year was 214 (61 "administrative", 153 "football"). In addition, we employed around 250 temporary staff on matchdays.
Monk Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 After hearing this, I am more confident they are'nt going to survive.
SO16_Saint Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 yeah baby: HMRC says Pompey might be docked up to 20 points for going into administration twice. [via Twitter]

Gingeletiss Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 I'm franticly switching, between this forum, the Snooze live broadcast and Chris Owen in court, will I ever be sane again.
K,Billy's supersound Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 might get 20 points deducted:cry:
pedg Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 yeah baby: HMRC says Pompey might be docked up to 20 points for going into administration twice. [via Twitter] Not sure that's true but does the judge?
holepuncture Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Comment From Penny is David Cameron going to represent us in court today? He said he would do everything he can? Ahem!.. shame 'Pack The Park' didnt get through! Just caught up on all the pages, this is brilliant! Am I dreaming? If so, please dont wake me up. What a fantastic morning, I do enjoy pompeys away days at the courts! COYHMRC, your 12th man is right behind you!

for_heaven's_Saint Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 That was a rather blunt tweet...
pedg Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 pn_chris_owen: Pompey go into administration With who as the admin though? That's the question.
Jones91 Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 How will HMRC have any say on points deduction by the FL?
martyg1950 Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 According to our accounts for the year ended 30th June 2010 (the latest available from Companies House), the average number of employees during the year was 214 (61 "administrative", 153 "football"). In addition, we employed around 250 temporary staff on matchdays. Ta for that, so assuming say 250 full time, on say 15k average and assuming they've not been paid for two months either, thats another £625,000 unpaid (plus employer NI etc) . Thats a lot of assumptions but probably fair ones.
Matthew Le God Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 pn_chris_owen: HMRC says Pompey might be docked up to 20 points for going into administration twice How do HMRC know what the Football League would do?
Gingeletiss Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 pn_chris_owen: Pompey go into administration How? is ferking well beyond me!!!!!!
SO16_Saint Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 That was a rather blunt tweet... cant sugar coat it. they have no sugar
trousers Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 @pn_neil_allen: #Pompey enter administration. Warned by court they could now face a 20 point deduction.
pedg Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Mark: judge has not yet said who administrator will be.
Chin Strain Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 SSN saying the argument is that the last admin was in a different league (PL...FFS) so points deduction should be 10. Madness.... HMRC arguing against AA appointment.
Ampersound Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Pompey in admin according to the news chat
trousers Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Mark: judge has not yet said who administrator will be. Mark: expect him to make decision in next 30 minutes or so
badgerx16 Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 But who is the administrator, and how is it being funded ?
Wurzel Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Court to appoint administrator though. Probably worst outcome they could have
Chin Strain Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 How do HMRC know what the Football League would do? I suspect this is all linked to FC rule, and those 'discussions'. FL may well be giving up some ground to try and protect the FC rule.
trousers Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 How do HMRC know what the Football League would do? I dunno....you ask them :-)
SO16_Saint Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Court to appoint administrator though. Probably worst outcome they could have really? why worst outcome?
pedg Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Though CSI and PFC have been acting as a single entity for a while the list of creditors for both companies is different so its hard to see how the judge could approve of AA representing both sets when haggling over a single pot.
warsash saint Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Court to appoint administrator though. Probably worst outcome they could have Surely being wound up was the worst ??
StDunko Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Court to appoint administrator though. Probably worst outcome they could have Or is it? Surely the worst outcome for PFC would have been AA as administrator, because Chinny would have continued to bleed the club dry for the parachute payments, a slow painful death. If the court appoint someone else the club either get wound up, (euthenasia), or Chinny's charges over the club get overturned as fraudulent.
Saint-scooby Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 If AA is appointed the law is an ASS .....
Winchester Red Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Allowing them to go into admin but not allowing AA to be administrator is the worst outcome for Chinney It's the best outcome for the Phew in my opinion - still not looking good for them though
Son of Dave Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Big IF minus 20, puts a different perspective on likelihood of their relegation. Time will tell I suppose.
pedg Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 How do HMRC know what the Football League would do? The key in the statement is 'might' not 'will'.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 I think Chris Owen has gone to the toilets for a cry.
trousers Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Lindsey Lou @X_LindseyLou_X All #pompey fans check out my tweet to the FA! We are possibly facing a 20 point deduction for there FAILED TEST !!! Aim your anger at them!:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:
