Brizzie Saints Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Ah, so they've moved it again. To Fratton Park. I dont remember a call to pack the court, will they be singing for the full hearing and are they gonna turn there backs to the court for 5 mins
Saint-scooby Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 COURT 26 Before MR JUSTICE NORRIS Friday, 17 February 2012 At half past 10 INTERIM HEARINGS LIST 1403 of 2012 Portsmouth Football Club (2010) Limited 1403 of 2012 Same I have so much to do today, still think they will walk with -10 points and AA at the helm
stevegrant Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 I see you're having a bit of a barney with Mr Slater of the BBC.... He's a ****ing idiot. "Shock horror a football club relies on owner subsidy" - well yes, but a football club who's just come out of administration having wiped around £80m of debt from their books doing so (and not for the purposes of debt repayment) is rather reckless, I'd suggest.
Hatch Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 hang on, is this the High Court on The Strand, not too far from where I am ?
dubai_phil Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 TonyHusbandBBC Tony Husband #pompey fans speaks of "stunning" revelation by Football League after he posed questions about League's takeover procedures.South Today 6.30 OK so what was that Stunning revelation? That TSW has been ahead of the game all the way through this?
miserableoldgit Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 hang on, is this the High Court on The Strand, not too far from where I am ? I suppose it depends on where you are.
trousers Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 @pn_chris_owen: The hearing has started and is expected to last 90 mins.
stevegrant Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 HMRC (surprisingly, IMO) not opposing administration application, but opposing proposal to appoint UHY
trousers Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 hang on, is this the High Court on The Strand, not too far from where I am ? Holborn I think?
stevegrant Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Judge : AA view of company trading at break even 'optimistic' Surely if they were breaking even, they wouldn't need to go into administration?
hutch Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 hang on, is this the High Court on The Strand, not too far from where I am ? I think this one's on Fetter Lane. Not far but closer to Holborn.
Big Bad Bob Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 @pn_chris_owen: There are about 20 people in court at the moment including a smattering of Blues' fans. Similar atmosphere to a matchday at Fratton Park then... Oh I am soo tempted to reply to @pn_chris_owen with that....
FarehamRed Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 HMRC (surprisingly, IMO) not opposing administration application, but opposing proposal to appoint UHY So nobody is actually opposing Administration? It's just about who the Administrator is?
stevegrant Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 So nobody is actually opposing Administration? It's just about who the Administrator is? The judge may yet oppose it, and ultimately he's the one that matters.
Saint-Reece Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 10:44 Comment From Corporate Ho I've got a feeling the Football League won't want to punish us further for their failings with the FAPT, so even if we go into admin, they'll bend the rules for us and not deduct us 10 points
trousers Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 @pn_chris_owen: And the gas board is about to send in the bailiffs.
ooh it's a corner Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 @pn_chris_owen: The hearing has started and is expected to last 90 mins. Remember that John Barnes advert for lucozade or something similar..... "After 90 minutes of sheer hell...." I've got work to do, doesn't the court realise this?

hutch Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 The judge may yet oppose it, and ultimately he's the one that matters. I think that's the point. They have to prove to the Court that admin will lead to a better outcome for the creditors than liquidation, whether anybody opposes it or not.

Lazlo78 Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 90 minutes. Is it on SaintsPlayer? Judge mostly on the ball. Pompey haven't had a real chance yet!
latter day saint Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Comment From Dr. Zoidburg Can't the judge grant PFC 50mil from the government coffers, we can then pay the leeches and run the club ourselves...?? Just asking

Matthew Le God Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Doesn't sound good for them... Judge comments that Mr Andronikou's claim that the club could break even in administration was 'patently optimistic'. He adds: 'it seems the club will trade at a loss'.

Gingeletiss Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 With all due respect, your honour, that should not be a legal consideration. And they trotted this line out on the last administration hearing, then laid of a few part timers.

martyg1950 Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 Seriously ? 530 ? what on earth do they all do ? I have no clue what our payroll is but i'd be surprised if it was that many. Unless of course that includes matchday staff, but mostly they'd be agency wouldn't they ?
SO16_Saint Posted 17 February, 2012 Posted 17 February, 2012 anyone else not getting their posts through??
