Morning ladies,

For those expecting admin to be refused....don't get your hopes up, it won't be.

They will get a points deduction today though and I have every confidence it will be more the minus ten.

All Saddo's, weirdo's and bedwetters to attention please, could be an intresting day

And can I just say that whatever happens, I'd like to put rivalry aside for a second and wish the likes of Mero the best of luck. He's just a normal football fan like most of us, albeit with appaling taste, rather than a frothing, deluded, cheating moron and he deserves a club of some form to support.

Seconded.

Perhaps once this thread has come to it's logical conclusion we can start a new one giving the likes of Mero all the support we can in getting a Phoenix club up and running. After all it's in our own interests to have a club that we can bicker with, insult, take the ****, even come to blows with occasionally. Without one our wives and girlfriends are going to be the ones to suffer.

But joking aside, the town has enough sensible fans to deserve a replacement club to get behind, albeit in a much lower league to start with (only fair on the rest of the league). Apart from that we need someone to gloat over as we continue our march to the CL, B'mouth will never be enough

More gamesmanship by them saying all those players are out injured. I know for a fact one of them is fit and was playing tennis yesterday. They are trying to con the FL again.

Further to this, Appleton says Liam Lawrence can't walk properly and has a limp, but he was out and about walking perfectly in Warash yesterday.

Why can't Liam Lawrence pay for his own effing scan?

He most probably could, but remember he hasn't been paid wages for January yet, so probably difficult to make him pay himself... If he cared for his own health he'd go and get the scan sorted rightaway...

.Although, of the 12 who took part in the full session, eight were from the club’s academy. The remaining four were Kanu, Adam Webster, Dave Kitson and Aaron Mokoena.

well the picture shows a lot of the first team squad in training, so yet another mistruth.

As for today, if Pompey were a normal business I would expect that administration would not be permitted. As it is a football club with the MP etc really on the case and getting special meetings with the top brass at the Revenue etc i suspect they will be fine.

‘Everything you can possibly imagine or try to imagine has happened, I can guarantee has happened. That is the best way to dress it up.’

Perhaps they could have sold a couple of the high-earners in January? Oh they did try, didn't they... still, that's loyalty for yer.

Who?

This information, plus the Liam Lawrence walking perfectly well in Warsash snippet, would make great Twitter fodder :)

Anyone got a twitter link for a reporter (or around) in the court yet ? I don't usually bother, but, y'know.

PS I'd just like to point out I used to work with Meringue-govian and he is a frothing moron. Just kidding, though he did attempt a spirited defence of Redknapp's transfer policy circa 2004 (when I noted that only about 20% of his signings played more than 10 first team games [Wapenaar, Mbesuma...]). :)

The Spinnaker Tower will be lit up blue tonight as a mark of solidarity

This made me larff. The spinnaker tower dosent work porperly either. The lifts are still knackered

equally it could be a lurid sign that the skates have been stuffed good and proper

And it cost a fortune and nearly brankrupted the Council IIRC.

Ah The Spinnaker Tower. Another stolen idea they couldn't get to work.

Jeez, it only took me & Eric a pint to get the original lit up in Red every time we win

thoughts of my pompey mate. a chartered accountant to boot!

"We are incredibly unlucky that is all. We are just hoping there is a fresh money launderer out there that can help!!! There must be another Russian or Arab that needs to “clean” £60m surely, and it would make such a difference to us."

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/thorne_ready_to_answer_pompey_s_sos_1_3530803

George Thorne is ready to answer Pompey’s SOS – if the Football League are prepared to sanction the deal.

The West Brom midfielder impressed for the Blues during a previous spell earlier this campaign and the Baggies are prepared to let him rejoin on loan - and would also continue to pay his wages.

Pompey boss Michael Appleton has also lined up another potential recruit as he bids to steer the club through an injury crisis.

But he was waiting to discover the outcome of talks held yesterday between chief financial officer John Redgate and the Football League over whether the deals would be allowed.

Appleton said: ‘I’ve been trying to speak to a couple of clubs about the possibility of bringing a couple of players in. George Thorne might be one of them.

‘We would take either free agents or loans. But I’ve got a couple of loans ready to come into the building which will not cost the club a penny.

‘I’ve had to use my contacts in the game to do a couple of favours for us. If we don’t get help from the Football League in trying to bring players in, then we have to get on with it. I have no other answers.’

When they get wound up will it change to red and white with fireworks and a parade. The smelly CWTB could lead the procession.

Gawd, this is addictive. I logged in first thing this morning, left late for my teaching, just back and reading the next two pages. Off to meet a potential new client and wondering how many pages will be added by the time I get back.

Can't you phone in sick and re-arrange? :) Thank God for half term and taking the week off.

So if the Tory bint Penny and her motley bunch of consipirtors do win their appeal to appoint a different administrator, could that be a way for them to "get away with it"?

Lets say Baker Tilley are appointed instead (obviously they lose the 10pts) but might Baker Tilley find that Chainrai didn't lend any money to the club afterall and his floating charge is not valid. That would make the club much more saleable. Question marks might also be raised about whether the separation of the ground from the club by Gaydamak was also legal.

Now that would be a worst case scenario (for those that want them dead).

But I suppose they would still need to find a sugar daddy to buy/fund them or live within their means in the future, and we all know that they have the support/infrastrucutre of a top 6 League 1 team.

Could the £7m taxes due from previous owners be related to EBTs (made famous by Rangers)?

I thihnk the 7mil is the TOTAL HMRC are owed (approx 2mil from the last few months + approx 5mil from the last CVA) - media have simply added the two so Pompeys debts need to be reduced by 5mil otherwise you are counting this debt in the 16mil VCVA twice... would be my reckoning anyway
