Micky Posted 16 February, 2012 Posted 16 February, 2012 And how exactly do they propose to pay those players, I mean have they actually paid the ones they already have yet? My thoughts entirely, they keep on bringing up the fact that they only have 14 or so players, but they are players that they cannot afford to pay, therefore they should not be allowed to use them.

Yes, that would be extremely unfortunate for the Phew wouldn't it.

They have been warned they may not get that pay & be lumped in as creditors From Twitter I`m sure this will motivate the players! Well they are creditors. The only way in which they are a special case is via the football creditors rule, which is a football rule, not a law. So if the club is liquidated and thus there is no need to persuade the FL to give them their golden share to play, the players join the rest of the queue with no preferential treatment. As do the other clubs waiting for their transfer fees etc --even the small aussie clubs waiting for their share of the money from the only transfer out on deadline day. (Notice how this fee is magically part of PFC's cash flow and assets, but the fact that most of it is actually someone else's money is ,typically, ignored.

If they have academy lads, they must play them. It's what Coventry have had to do with Conor Thomas, Gael Birgirimana, Cyrus Christie, Shaun Jeffers, Jordan Clarke, Josh Ruffles, Callum Wilson and Nathan Cameron. Coventry havn't been crying foul to the football league over how they are short on squad members after their sales, they've brought in the kids and got on with it. If the Skates get away with that again then it will just cement what an absolute disgrace they are.

Thing is no one is forcing them to compete, they can just jack it in and start over in the local leagues and do everyone else a favour. Mind you a lot of our supporters didn't 'get it' either.Kept going on campaigns and marches and stuff because the team was crap, the managers were crap and Rupert was trying to save money by not playing their idle idols to save appearance fees. Skate supporters should be forced to watch us in one of our crappier matches, one with Molyneux and Lancashire in the team, they'd understand what a team with no money looks like. Insurance becomes invalid if you don't pay the premiums. Come to think of it , are the players properly insured against serious injury? Is that handled by the PFA or the club? What if one had a career-ending injury against Barnsley?

Dalek2003 Posted 16 February, 2012 Posted 16 February, 2012 I hope they have plenty of kitchen foil and some flasks to put their butties and soup in, because they won't be able to afford a meal or a snack on the way up. If they can't afford a coach they can take their own cars and share costs by squeezing three along the back seat and putting all their kit into one bag.
