Pompey Takeover Saga

Lot's of rumours that Pompey cancelled the printers and the caterers for the game last night.

This would mean they had already decided it was off, but allowed Hull fans to start travelling today? Something fishy going on.

There is also a rumour that the Hampshire constabulary told them they wouldn't police the game due to cash issues.

makes sense to not have the programme printed when the game looked very dodgy. Nothing fishy about that. Just common sense. For once. As for Policing. Poopey only ever have to pay for policing inside **** park. Does that mean they could choose to go `all steward' or is their some requirement for inside stadium policing depending on the classification of the game?

Wonder if undersoil heating was ever turned on?

Nothing fishy about it.....until the official Pompey Twitter account posts a picture of TWO programme covers to confirm they did print all the programmes....

This thread is beginning to p**s me off,i'm not getting anything done, haven't shaved for days, laundry heap that is now flowing into the hall, pile of washing up that will take me all day, dogs haven't seen the leads for days, run out of milk, plus the cricket's on.

JUST F**K OFF AND DIE SKATES so i can get on with my life. UP THE SAINTS

Don't worry, only 16 more days beard growth, 16 days left for your dogs to fend for themselves, 16 days of extra laundry & washing up to go and the cricket isn't worth watching anyway....... so hang in there!

Maybe the two programmes were expected to be enough to supply the crowd. "pass it along once you've finished please".

if it was days yesterday when this was written...http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/campaigns/passion-for-portsmouth/news/pompey_face_crucial_week_ahead_warns_andronikou_1_3488741 ...then hours now?

Anyone else not surprised by this comment:

"I hate this man i don't think he has a clue what he's doing , talk about Nick the greek but that's probably and insult to him as this man can't sell sh*T. He was disappointed that we didn't sell our best young players with the smallest squad in the football league for peanuts , well i am i would rather the club go out with some sort of pride left in us than trying to hang on and not even be able to field a full team that can compete what's the point in that"

Well if you're happy to 'go out' like that, then watch this space.

You're about to get your wish

Anyone got a list of the charities that they've ripped off, and the amounts owed? Also exactly how much they dodged in tax last time round, and how much they owe now? I'm going to put together a youtube video, got the perfect music "Thick as thieves" by The Jam (Demo version for any fans) and a few stats would help. Ta

So what are all of the possible scenarios for the blue few's future? Here are the obvious ones:

Option A - some madman pays Chanrai £30 odd million for a broken flush - unlikely.

Option B - they limp through to their court appearance and the judge pulls the plug - more likely but remember last time.

Option C - they are (unfairly) lent money to limp on until the end of the season by the football authorities - wouldn't surprise me?

Option D - AA fails to find the madman and pulls the plug and liquidates - hard to believe that Chanrai would want this but it may end up the only option?

So what else could happen?

Just caught up with the latesr instalments to this thread.

Am I correct in thinking it was hancock and his cronies who were against us going to stoneham/SMS along with other Liberal democrats? I mght be wrong

But really annoys me is his comments Re Skatesville being steeped in traditions. If thet were that great they would have modernised their stadium years ago. Maybe MR Hancock you prefer rundown buildings such as the tricorn centre> How many years did it take for the politicians take to make a decision to kock it down? you should do the same with the eyesore you call fratton park as well

@pn_neil_allen: RT @officialpompey: A few conspiracy theorists said we cancelled programme run yesterday!

Oh well, blows that theory...! Maybe they are in the poop afterall...

Unless of course those are just pre-production mock ups before they went for the full programme run.....show us a room full of programmes FFS!!! ;-)

Why? surely they would only require a couple of thousand...most can't read down that way.

Sadly I think the 'frozen pitch' scenario suits them best. No added costs, no emarrassing public shows of insolvency and no difficult decisions for players and staff about turning up. Lucky escape for the DCFSBs

Lucky! or planned? I seem to recall a rumour from a couple of years ago, that they watered their pitch prior to a cold snap, whilst having their 'financial' problems.

Seems like a good day for the few, they've got some cash in, nothing much to pay out. interesting to see what happens if & when supporters ask for their money back. If true that there are NO cash refunds, are they giving I O U's out or credit notes LOL. As for the conspiracy theory that they new last night, is despicable if true. Obviously wanted another few hours to get a few more £'s in & F**k the Hull supporters.

@talksportmdl Big rumours that Pompey could not pay police bill today that's why the game is off at Fratton Park

As much as I would PMSL if this were true I would have thought that it would have been the referee (or a local referee) who would have made this call.

Indeed. Even IF Pompey were trying to use the weather as a convenient smokescreen for the match not being able to go ahead for financial reasons, you would have to collude with the referee (to a certain degree) and I can't even see Pompey stooping to those kind of levels.

Wouldnt need collusion if they watered the pitch last night..................................assuming thier water hasnt been cut off of course.

Raises an interesting point - even if they dont pay their utilities by monthly direct debit, and get billed quarterly for them, then these bills are likely to be either outstanding or imminent with CSI foing into admin 3 months ago. Anyone know how long before Gas, Electricity and water supplies are likely to be cut off?

Seeing how much people get wrapped up in the whole affair and can't wait for the implosion....

They've forfeited any goodwill from this end of the M27 by sticking two fingers up at everyone for years so its been a long time coming. They can't dodge bullets forever, and you can't blame us for thinking that maybe this time they've gambled their future once too often

Unless it's changed since my time the electricity would be monthly billed.

So, the inbreds are meant to be worth 33m pounds, how much are The Saints worth at the moment?

According to http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/portsmouth-fc/startseite/verein_1020.html

Their squad is worth £23m, but that includes a figure of £2.6m for the Albatross Tal Ben Haim. Looking through the figures, they all look unrealistic.

no need for that, ground rock solid in Southsea. All they had to do to not play the game was not turn on undersoil heating. But do they have any? I thought the Premiership demanded it. The fact is though that they needed the game on. Policing costs are small as football clubs only pay for officers used inside the stadium. Not a huge requirement for that with Hull probably bringing 600 down.
