Brilliant -on sky - the leading bidder Cattermole

 

we asked for proof of funds and he gave a piece of paper from company didn't know - asked for reference from bank - they couldn't

 

we were dealing with 22 year old man

 

asked to meet him at his office

 

he said he didn't have office but asked us to go to his dad's house!

ROTFPMSL did they say if it was written in crayon as well.

Had to LOL at Cattermole's interview earlier on, only caught the end of it. He was quizzed about being fit & proper person test, and the reports about him in the press, his said his layers are putting together a defamation of character case against the press, but when asked about his tax & fraud case against the government he said he'd never denied it?

Perfect match for the club IMHO.

Why would HRMC go back to court, spending a considerable amount of money to do so, just to "dot some i's and cross some t's"!!!! This man is an utter buffoon surely?!?! I was under the impression that as they were under a WUO they could not enter Administration - perhaps that's what HMRC are challenging? Just when Pimpley fans thought it was safe to ring their bell.....lol

Over on POL the skates seem to be convinced that tomorrow's court date is just a technicality, and that HMRC are getting desperate.

 

I suppose the majority of skates are pretty well acquainted with court hearings.

VFTT, roll back 2 weeks 2 months etc and see how, so many were confident they were toast . They had the close call when the lady gave them a week which turned into 3 weeks and now however long. I have seen them not only survive but been enabled to carry on trading even though it seems they were insolvent. The HMRC owed 18m for only them to put the club into admin with the distinct possibility that the majority of their debts wiped. Chanrai can own the club for no new investment but take on the player assets ,as well as owning the ground. He can see that the debts will all be paid with the parachute monies and the wage bill slashed to manageble levels, even in CCC. As a billionaire he can easily fund a few purchases to take a small gamble to get instant promotion and then again have a PL football club that he can sell on with the new riches of the tv revenues.IMO he is on a no lose situation.

If heaven forbid they did get to the FA cup final his investment will become a great profit quickly as those revenue streams would IMO be into the new company. That is of course if he takes them on quickly, and the way it is set-up it looks to me he wil do so.

I am happy to come back and say Im wrong and eat humble pie, if he does not buy it and they fold or get massive points penalties.

 

Nickh - everytime you write that, Pompey seem to get hit by yet another disaster. Keep it up!

i chose the wrong day to have meetings all day tomorrow

 

they could go pop whilst im discussing the merits of outsourcing, and i'll miss all the fun

 

looks like i better book 3 hours of laptop time tomorrow night, a lot of beer, and a nappy

Peter Storrie was & still is I think the company CEO in other words he runs the buisness side of it, and has fiscal duty to run said company within the laws of the competition & within the laws of the land. If he was being told to run it other than this then it is his responsibility to report it to the authorities for F**k sake wake up please you thick T**ts!

Like I've said a million times before, if Storrie was overruled and he thought that the PFC board were doing wrong for 2-3 years, why didn't he say so at the time?

 

Oh yeah, I forgot - £1.4m a year...

 

...and now he continues to bleat his innocence.

 

....... and of course, this conflicts with two of him most famed comments 'I'm a good negotiator' and 'the transfers and wages were nothing to do with me'

My wild guess is that HMRC are going to question the validity of Chanrai placing the club in administration. I have been banging on about this for a while, but the problem I have is that he either owns 90% of the shares in the company or is a creditor. IF he has taken possession of the shares in Portsmouth City Football Club, that suggests that he has satisfied his charge. He is then a shareholder, is holds shares worth f*** all. If he claims he is a secured creditor, then IMO, he had to prove the validity of his charge to the court before placing Pompey into administration. Just saying you're owed money is not enough.

 

We'll see tomorrow, but I wouldn't be suprised that he made a big mistake taking ownership of the shares. I also think that he might have some problems proving the validity of his loan. The paperwork surronding Portpins loan to Al Mirage is bound to raise more questions than it answers.

Victor Cattermole out-fialking fialka according to skate spokesman, Phil Hall. LOL. Proof of funds provided on some obscure, banana republic bank letterhead (when subsequently asked, failed to come back with something more authoritative) while cattermole's representative, a 22 year old noob insisted on meeting skate representatives at his dads place on grounds that he didn't have an office.

Woo hoo we can have completely new conspiracy theories now!

 

But in reality, if you were able (as a professional layman) to gather up data like you did, that was not totally clear, then it seems the investigators found something suspicious as well.

I think you're spot on GM, I also queried this at the time. I don't think this is going to be resolved quickly either so reaching 20,000 posts shouldn't be a problem.

On 5live they said that the taxman was fuming especially against Pompey as well as football in general. They dispute Chanrais ownership and so his validity in putting them into administration. They are demanding to see the paperwork. Jacob signed it off didn't he? Is there something about him leaving Fuglers last week, as in they want to have him at arms length.
