washsaint Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Oh my gawd.....HMRC have just told PFC are insolvent!
bungle Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 SSN report the insolvency quote from HMRC that Matthew Le God thinks I made up.
bridge too far Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 (edited) Government stating they're insolvent. PFC that is Edited 10 February, 2010 by bridge too far closing opportunities for the rabid right to point score
Petersfield Saint Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Crab Lungs, pure genius sir! Especially love the "Ding ding dings"
Under Weststand Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Sky sports news reports that Poopey have said they have 2 serious offers on the table. HMRC have said that they are insolvent & are pushing for winding up, No compromise.
washsaint Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 They are stuffed.....of course they are insolvent but for HMRC to state that, they are screwed! Funny how they suddenly have 2 offers for the club (with no due diligence?).
greg_hill Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 2 Serious offers to buy the club - They will still get out of this! HMRC claim Pompey are insolvent! How do we know they are 'serious'? Because Peter 'We have not received a WUO, the transfer ban will be lifted yesterday, we will have very good news by last year at the latest' Storrie says so?
Saint_Jonny Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 "pomortmouth are insolvent" sounds like HMRC are pushing for them to be put in admin NOW not in 28 days
Mister Neil Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 According to newsfeed [Comment From Terry Terry : ] The Time are reporting - "Portsmouth, HM Revenue & Customs and their briefs suddenly exited for a discussion in the ante-room. It sounded as if a 28-day adjournment was being agreed for when the case comes up "2nd time around" - ie at the end of this session rather than at the beginning of the 2pm shift Taken from this feed http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/article7021629.ece
saint_stevo Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Squirm! http://www.portsmouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=10060&posts=55#M93951
St Marco Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 So your prediction of 99.99999999999% they will go into admin today is a bit out Indeed, it just goes to show how quick these things can change. Right now lots of people saying lots of different things so with each new bit you have to say the outlook changes. Like The Times said they were in a negotiating room agreeing on an ajournment deal. At that point you would say the 28 days looked likely. But now reports saying court case has resumed and HMRC have said they are insolvent etc.. Pretty much i think nobody has a clue what is going on and those claiming to be in the court room i.e the news are probably not. I think if they get the 28 days they have blagged it. I think it would be wrong but this is the law and they always say no case is the same as another.
Joensuu Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Matthew: Sky Sport are reporting Pompey have said there have been two serious offers for the club and pay off the debts.
Arizona Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 I think that's a misprint guys, it should say "insolent"
OldNick Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 you just know this site is going to crash before we know the result

carljack Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Surely game over then? The judge would liable for any Debts ensuing from the moment she agreed that PFC was insolvent if she did say that, IT IS MASSIVE!
Danish Saint Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Are they dead yet? Hey! That's my line! ;)
St Marco Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 The times reported HM Revenue & Customs have asked the High Court to either execute the winding up order today or grant a "very short" adjournment in the case. The wait goes on ...
Merovingian Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Hey everyone! Portsmouth are insolvent! You heard it here first. lol - we have been insolvent since October last year - not really ground breaking is it ?
1576 Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 the NEWS state that their journalists have no confirmed either of these two statements. I wonder if the NEWS's reporters are struggling with the old predictive texting Too many fingers?
MOSaint Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 The Times bloke must be watching SSN on a delay.
Saint J 77 Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Surely game over then? As much as I would like to see them disapear all together, I just can't see it happening. They will get out of it. They don't smell fishy for nothing I hope I am wrong though.
bungle Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Quote from courtroom source: "The FA have provided a substantial sum to allow debts to be paid. wtf?" Not sure who said this, so may be poopey trying to claim some wriggle room.
gaz Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Apparently the cash offer for part of the bill this morning before court was rejected because they couldn't prove how the remainder was going to be settled other than ''finding a mug to take us over''.
dune Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 The site is slowing down. I can feel it coming. Die you bastards die.
