StuRomseySaint Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Theyve done a deal to get 28 days. F*ckers
bungle Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 HMRC Barrister says "It is quite clear this company is insolvent."
ottery st mary Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Slapped Wrists ??? I would say trousers down with a potty on their heads, and their todgers wedged between two halves of a floury bap ! Same punishment......But my definition from the ottery dictionary;)
MOSaint Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Theyve done a deal to get 28 days. F*ckers where does it say that?
Chez Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Theyve done a deal to get 28 days. F*ckers to pay it all? Thats not what the news are saying.
St Marco Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 So the other cases went the same way and were given a further 28 days. I for some reason am starting to think Portsmouth might be going in there thinking they will get a slap on the wrist and then get a further 28 days. Basically thinking the judge is soft. But then puts them in admin. It really does sound like Taxman wants them shut down.
StuRomseySaint Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 where does it say that? It doesn't. I just feel it.
spain saint Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 apparently Cardiff and Southend´s cases have been adjourned until march 10th !
AK Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 HMRC Barrister says "It is quite clear this company is insolvent." Is the hearing being broadcast live somewhere ?
Crab Lungs Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Meanwhile, in a loft apartment somewhere in London
benjii Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 HMRC Barrister says "It is quite clear this company is insolvent." Is this fact? If so, it is quite clear that HMRC will oppose any attempt at a fobbing off now. Therefore the question for the judge is quite simple - is PFC solvent?
Channon's Sideburns Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 apparently Cardiff and Southend´s cases have been adjourned until march 10th ! But their cases are different.... Intention to repay, evidence of trying to raise capital etc etc.
JackFrost Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Just had a text from a mate who is a barrister in this case. Apparently they have been wound up and wont be able to complete their fixtures for this season. Which mean no derby this weekend. you should award yourself infraction points for that
saint_stevo Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Meanwhile, in a loft apartment somewhere in London You know where this is going....
Chez Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 It doesn't. I just feel it. they may get 28 days but it will be 28 days to trasnfer the £7.5m-11m into the HMRC's bank account hopefully
bungle Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Is the hearing being broadcast live somewhere ? No, but I know someone in the public gallery.
Kingsland Red Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 apparently Cardiff and Southend´s cases have been adjourned until march 10th ! Which suggests Pompey may be treated differently (?)
Joensuu Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Still not begun again yet (according to 'The News')
Give it to Ron Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 12:32 [Comment From pompey boy pompey boy : ] it will all be ok over hyped Unf***** believable.... you owe many companies money...fail to pay staff 4 times and its overhyped....numbnuts
Matthew Le God Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 No, but I know someone in the public gallery. Well they are lying because it hasn't started yet.

But then puts them in admin. It really does sound like Taxman wants them shut down. Didn't both clubs pay half their debt, before going to court? Probably why the court gave them more time to find the rest of the amount. Not so lucky for Poopey...... Bring out your dead!
bristolsaint29 Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 (edited) Still not begun again yet (according to 'The News') Think he may be in the wrong room! Edited 10 February, 2010 by bristolsaint29 wrong word!
fish fingers Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 If they are wound up can they appeal? is this likely to drag on further?
stevegrant Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Well they are lying because it hasn't started yet. Says who?

St Marco Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Says who? http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/custompages/custompage.aspx?pageid=81654
Chez Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Says who? there is a live blog on the Portsmouth News website using reporters in the court sending info back to their newsroom. That's who. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/custompages/custompage.aspx?pageid=81654
bristolsaint29 Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 According to newsfeed [Comment From Terry Terry : ] The Time are reporting - "Portsmouth, HM Revenue & Customs and their briefs suddenly exited for a discussion in the ante-room. It sounded as if a 28-day adjournment was being agreed for when the case comes up "2nd time around" - ie at the end of this session rather than at the beginning of the 2pm shift
spyinthesky Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Arent they due a Sky payout in next couple of months which could earn a 28 day of execution? Or should they just be executed?
Gravesend Saint Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Arent they due a Sky payout in next couple of months which could earn a 28 day of execution? Or should they just be executed? But a couple of months falls OUTSIDE the 28 days - no good to anyone.
stevegrant Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Interesting. "Torres" is there. Apparently it's started already, Pompey have got Vantis working for them (remember them?! Ken Dulieu and friends), and apparently there have been "two serious offers to buy the club in the last 12 hours"...
Doctoroncall Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 there is a live blog on the Portsmouth News website using reporters in the court sending info back to their newsroom. That's who. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/custompages/custompage.aspx?pageid=81654 I wish they used a different sound for the official updates so I can do something else rather than keep flicking back to see the drivel from the skates, I've wasted hours!
Arizona Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Arent they due a Sky payout in next couple of months which could earn a 28 day of execution? Or should they just be executed? Wasn't there last one given to Chelsea and Arsenal? I think RC Lens claim they are still owed money. Not sure they will have an awful lot of that cash available to continue opperating.
St Marco Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Well looks like all signs are pointing to a 28 day agreement by taxman and Pompey then. Will be interesting to hear the stipulations of that deal if it does happen.
saint_stevo Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 those comments are from FANS, not teh dude in teh courtroom
View From The Top Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Well looks like all signs are pointing to a 28 day agreement by taxman and Pompey then. Will be interesting to hear the stipulations of that deal if it does happen. 28 days to settle in full or bye bye.
warsash saint Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Well looks like all signs are pointing to a 28 day agreement by taxman and Pompey then. Um Bongo Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 2 Serious offers to buy the club - They will still get out of this! HMRC claim Pompey are insolvent!
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Interesting. "Torres" is there. Apparently it's started already, Pompey have got Vantis working for them (remember them?!
