Hatch Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 Rocha should get an extra 3 games added on for not leaving the pitch
Nellie Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 Andy Awford sounds like right d1ckhead. I fully agree!! What he says on the radio for the consumption of the Skate fans, and what he actually believes himself are likely to differ quite a lot.
Matthew Le God Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 not actually on the coast there He said South Coast then said Hampshire. He didn't say the South Coast of Hampshire.
dune Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 And come tomorrow, the South Coasts ONLY professional league club! (but you could say that now! ) There's only one team in Hampshire.

Matthew Le God Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 We look forward to Saturday. It might be your swan song! If the game goes ahead it certainly won't be the last ever game for them as it would mean they were granted a 28 day (or more) extension.
S-Clarke Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 just come up on the BBC Sport website ticker too... '' FOOTBALL: Talks between Portsmouth and Her Majesty's Customs & Revenue break down''
TopGun Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 If the game goes ahead it certainly won't be the last ever game for them as it would mean they were granted a 28 day (or more) extension. I was just getting ahead of myself
Hatch Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 Got to say , a 1-1 home draw against 9 players of a team that has only won 1 in 15 is not a great last ever game is it. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Give it to Ron Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 According to SSN Pompey are going to High Court to seek a 28 day extension. Rumour has it Avram and Storrie were seen in Forbuoys spending the petty cash on the Euro lottery rollover...they got 2 tickets each.

It's as though the court case is pompey's idea, and they're taking HMRC to court!
saint lard Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 just come up on the BBC Sport website ticker too... '' FOOTBALL: Talks between Portsmouth and Her Majesty's Customs & Revenue break down'' Just been announced on Radio Five live also that talks have been ongoing all evening but have now broken down.
S-Clarke Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 Just been announced on Radio Five live also that talks have been ongoing all evening but have now broken down. i guess admin is the only way out now?
dune Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 Gotta love the spin on that. It's as though the court case is pompey's idea, and they're taking HMRC to court! Storrie comes accross as a wheeler dealer ****ney wide boy. I bet HMRC have seen his type countless times before.
Jimmy_D Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 i guess admin is the only way out now? Someone on their forum reckons that as it's less than 12 hours to the hearing now, it's too late for them to go into admin. Can anyone confirm or deny?
TopGun Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 (edited) According to SSN Pompey are going to High Court to seek a 28 day extension. Rumour has it Avram and Storrie were seen in Forbuoys spending the petty cash on the Euro lottery rollover...they got 2 tickets each. Presumably a 28-day extension plea would involve a minimum sum of £1.8m being paid immediately and the remaining immediate part that can't be agreed on with HMRC (let's estimate £1.2m) now going to the judge. Super high risk strategy of sh!t or bust... It would appear to indicate that BC is not prepared to gamble any more of his own money at this stage. He must be confident that the judge will offer 28 days for them to consider their options. Edited 9 February, 2010 by TopGun
St Chalet Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 I believe they can go into Admin tomorrow, yes

Weston Saint Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 Seems it is getting to poor old Avram Speaking after the 1-1 draw with Sunderland, Grant intimated he felt the club are fighting on many fronts including the officiating, after he confronted referee Kevin Friend at half-time. He said: "We are fighting not just against the opponent, but many situations - even the referees. "Today there were two clear penalties for us. I must say, I'd had enough. I can only fight against so many things. Sometimes it is too much. "I must say I like this referee and the referees in England. But not in the last 10 days." He continued: "The players and the fans were great today. "It is not easy. Imagine you have problems in your work. Could you go to your work with a clear head. "This club needs to stay alive. This is a traditional English club." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11674_5929308,00.html

rallyboy Posted 9 February, 2010 Posted 9 February, 2010 if all goes well tomorrow, not only can they get the open top bus out to celebrate the point against Sunderland but they could afford to put some diesel in it to drive about a bit and look for the missing 200,000. Best fans in the world? I think they're in for a shock on Saturday if they think they are coming to a friendly little place like Wigan or Bolton. We might not have a Premiership side but St Marys will be a new experience for some of their guys, let's wind it up a few notches from tonight's great showing and give them a proper welcome.
St Marco Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/feb/10/portsmouth-administration-avram-grant And they are out of there
Tac-tics Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 cba to scan the thread, someone just answer these: 1- how many are on the winding up petition? 2- is admin guarenteed? 3- how likely is it, they will be wound up tomorrow?
St Marco Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 cba to scan the thread, someone just answer these: 1- how many are on the winding up petition? 2- is admin guarenteed? 3- how likely is it, they will be wound up tomorrow? 1. I don't think we know how many because different reports say different things. Portsmouth say they have paid some of them so who knows. 2. Admin is guranteed if they can't reach an agreement with the taxman. Which looks certain now. 3. This is the million dollar question. It really depends on how bad the finances really are and how likely it is that the money owed can be paid. If the judge looks at the accounts and figures and it looks like a bottomless money pit then they have to pull the plug. The judge in the case has pulled the plug before at a club so i don't think they will be afraid to make that decision again. However i think they could go into the case and be granted a couple more weeks. They will only get that if they can proove a takeover is nearly done and the person coming in actually intends to pay the debts. If they don't have that they will have it rejected.
St Marco Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 from Financial Times http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/e936d6ee-15ce-11df-b65b-00144feab49a.html?catid=106&SID=google If they say that then i think it is now certain. They have a wide scope of contacts. It is interesting to read also about the league rules that have come into place and ones which are about to come into place, like the league being able to place salary caps on clubs in deep ****.
S4INT Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Is Grant/Rocha banned for the game against us? x

EastleighSoulBoy Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Yeah crap result tonight, now we are all but down. Well done for getting to Wembley Its all about Saturday now. At least we can show you we are the better football side. TBF you should still beat us on the football side. Well done for getting 16K + fans. We had some 500 MK Plastics in among our crowd. How many Mackems came down to your game? More than 500 I'd hazard a guess!
