Sorry to bring things momentarily away from the hilarity on the pitch. But can someone plase explain how they are still able to operate if they can't afford 60 quid to pay the stewards and Brake have emptied premesis. Sorry to be hick but I really don't understand how they are allowed to continue to exist. I do genuinely feel for the staff of th club who have mortgages to pay.

You know what I don't care we're going under, we will always have more pride and passion than you plastic Southampton fans and we will have won more. The FA Cup win in 2008 was worth this right now.

lol

I should imagine that the drum would shoved up the P@mpey fans a*rse if they try and bring it in!

Well we can all live in hope! I'd feel sorry for whoever it is that has to find the oriface.;)

"triffic supporters Pompey have...not only at home, but also a fantastic number of fans who follow them away"

You WHAT?

stupid isnt it..

it is almost like a default point of view for pundits

Another interesting article stemming from the goings on at Pompey...

And unfortunately for one person, someone to pay their debts

The first article is a good read. The second one is a very good read, for comical value. Whilst I do feel a bit sorry for the guy, I must admit that I laughed rather a lot whilst reading the article.

What about the idiot on the end of the bell, er the bell end?

Isn't Coco the Clown banned from St Mary's? If not, why not?

I work with a couple of Skates and they seem quite reasonable, as skates go, they say that most of the fans see him as an embarassment.

We need to hope they sell some more players tomorrow, that team will walk all over us.

Don't sweat on it mate. They are premiership they should cane us. We have nothing to lose but our dignity and I don't think we ll let that happen. I won't stop singng for 90 mins win or lose. Given the choice I'd still rather be in our financial position.

Besides we'll see how motivated they remain I'd they still aren't paid

Nope, apparently not. He should be for sure, but for some reason he's not been banned. Let's hope that the Police keep a good eye on him this time so that if he tries that trick again he is thrown out - for good.

Just heard on radio Solent that they are going to have a reporter at the stadium every day next week to give a daily update of the goings on at the club. The reports will be every morning at 07:50 if anyones interested.

You think so?

They may be in the premiership but are struggling big time with championship

players amongst their so called best so for me that only makes them a very average championship side.

We are supposedly a higher league one outfit on paper at least

so in all honesty we are not too far apart coupled with the fact

some more players will leave poopey before 5pm tomorrow.

It makes for a decent battle at SMS..

The disgusting pig and joke fan should not be allowed back in after his

filthy urinating act.

If the club are reading this please ban the idiot for life.

If he does turn up at St Marys ,or indeed Southampton ,I'm sure someone will welcome him in the appropriate way!

They are still 2 divisions above us, whether their team is sh1t or good in the premiership....the gulf in quality between that and league one is huge.

They play the type of football that would carve us open, and their pace is a huge concern.

Where did you get that one from? Surely this is just bravado? I would not be making statements like that if Saints were in the carp!

Reading the second links, are we to believe that there are even more debts the club are unaware of?

Let's hope so.

Anyone know if its true that the HMRC (or court) have to allow any money to be paid out ? There is a suggestion that with a frozen bank due to WUO that they can do this. The reason for the WUO in the first place is because they have not been paid.

I read somewhere that the original Account used to pay players was frozen as part of the WUP. Apparently this has been another reason lately as to why it hasn't helped with paying staff and players as they have to find alternative Accounts in which to pay salaries from and has been a differerent Account source each time when they finally have been paid.

I think there is a link on this thread somewhere but with so much going on recently I couldn't be sure it was on here that I read it.

So what do we want Pompey to sell their best players and keep in business or not sell them and have a decent team long enough to play us but eventually go under

Sell their players, lose to us 4-1, then get relegated, play us in the championship and be relegated on the last day of the season by losing to us....4-1. :)

In business but only just - all the best players gone. The weaker the better - the record books will only record the score & we'll all remember it as their best team ever anyway.

I was feeling a little paranoid about why they haven't had the promised fire-sale we were all looking forward to, but I actually think that they can't part with their players like we couldn't last year (Think Saga), even if they need to.

I read on one of their sites that Mullins & Hughes were on a combined wage of £57k/week. Even if that is way over it still explains why they are all there still. By default, being bottom of the prem means their players are borderline good enough anyway, and few of the strugglers have any cash to spend on transfers and virtually no-one in the CCC has either, plus they are all currently on wages way beyond their true worth, which all means that not only can't they have a fire-sale, they can't even have a fire-giveaway.

What a shame, eh? Lucky they had that great negotiator, Storrie, to help them out.

(Though, incidentally, when you look at the salary he negotiated for himself, I think he is a fecking ace negotiator!)

Storrie says: "Now we've sold Kaboul, this is no longer an issue."

Been reading the figures :) So they couldnt pay the staff on Friday which means no money in the bank. They sell Kaboul for £6.5m, so the reported £3m wages takes that down too £3.5m

£2.7m to other clubs means they have £800k in the bank which isnt gonna help them!!!!
