I still hope they lose some more players before we play them. Currently their team could look something like this:

Jamie Ashdown

Steve Finnan - Aaron Mokoena - Tal Ben-Haim - Hermann Hreidarsson

Tommy Smith - Kevin Boateng - Michael Brown - Richard Hughes

Piquionne - Utaka

Subs: Antti Niemi, Angelos Basinas, Danny Webber, Hayden Mullins,

Mark Wilson, Nadir Belhadj, N****wo Kanu, Vanden Borre, Yebda

Injured: Pape Bouba Diop

Still a decent side and capable of beating us. Hopefully they will lose a few more and have some injuries too!

It would be a nightmare if they put Niemi in goal against us - I would hate to see that.

They need investment within the next 2 months or Pompey WILL fold.

Can't see how they can get past the winding up order personally, even if they make it past the end of this month.

I still fail to see how the PL can let them sign players when they can't even guarantee to be able to pay their staff. I still think something is going on we don't know about and they will wriggle out of it again.

Me neither.

It is unbelievable that not one of the secured creditors has put them into admin yet. What can they possibly hope to gain from not doing so? :smt102

I want to play them even more now. Will be gutted if they don't mke it. (never thought I'd say that!!!)

He's injured, according to a local supporter I spoke to this afternoon.

which would explain why he went for a x-ray just over a week ago at Southampton hospital.

to reach 10,000 post at the rate the last 24 hours have gone we should be there by saturday, 416 post since midnight and still nearly 5 hours to go. If it starts to go tits up we will hit 12K posts (one for every fan that they have attending Krap Notarf)

Tells stories said that they always knew there was interest in Kaboul, but admitted that until now it had been paper talk only - ie no offers from Man City or Sunderland. Apart from Begovic today no other club had shown any interest in any of their other players. With no interest elsewhere they have no choice but to sell Begavic.

With installments due on Kaboul dn the sell on, you can guarentee that money handed over will be relatively small. It also sounded as though that the Kaboul money will pay wages. What it won't do is cover the HMRC if the court finds on the side of the taxman rather than pompey and insist on the full £7.5m being paid. If they lose the case they won't have the money to pay it off in full so will be reliant on the taxman accepting a phased set pf payments.

Storie said he is happy to stay, now.

Well on £1.25m, that's a lot of reasons to stay. If his position is untenable, he should do the decent thing and quit...oh, but he;s too interested in money to do that.

Wonder if this skate is rhyming slang... still can't see his idea catching on...

Boycott the Scum Game

Can't see this happening but I'm really thinking of not buying a ticket. I just can't bear the thought of giving any of my money to these ****s running the club.

I think a big bank of empty seats on TV would say more than any banners we migth come up with

He could always resign and then sue for constructive dismissal.

they have to be insolvent !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely , really can't understand how they are talking about loans

For those of us who didn't hear , was Storrie asked directly if Grant was planning on slinging his hook?

So the sales pay off Spuds for the original purchase and give them enough money to pay the wages this month

But then the transfer window closes on Sunday - How the feck do they expect to find the wages & HMRC for February?....

Sold their best players for peanuts, a new investor has to be conned into buying a weakened squad struggling to stay in the PL...

If it was a horse..................

Rhyming slang he may well be, but I think he's right on both counts. It clearly won't happen, but if it did the impact would be immense. Four thousand or so empty seats, at that game of all games, would be one hell of a picture. Admittedly, TCWTB (thanks to ESB for that acrostic) would turn up anyway, but then you could always argue that the symbolism would actually be enhanced by his presence.

Sadly I do not think it will be empty seats that will be their answer on the best form of protest as they are ALREADY insolvent and will be wound up before the game.

Bye bye Pompey and a Bye for us, will be their FA Cup epitaph

Jesus - Harry the vulture stitches them up and then comes back to pick at the carcass.

Agent Redknapp you have surpassed yourself but don't overdo things or someone will get suspicious.

SSN: 'Peter Storie admits his role at the club is almost untenable.'

No sh*t sherlock. But of course, you have nothing to do with the problems, oh no.

On the one hand,I agree with you,I'd hate to see Niemi lining against us in a Pompey shirt as i'd like to remember him as a bit of a Saints legend. However...

On the other hand , if his last performance in a southcoast derby is anything to go by, then i'd love to see him play against us!!

The website is back up for the going out of business sale.

Notice on that front page, bottom left corner, they use(d) VeriSign as their Certificate Authority (to verify the site as one "Trusted" for accepting payments).

Well, shouldn't they have removed such a misleading 'reassurance' in light of this?:

fAQVUl.jpg

They can't even afford to pay for a genuine Certificate any longer, and are now self certificating. :)

But aside from that, the irony (of the parallels [of the error message] with the Club itself) is hilarious! :D

"Certified by an Unknown Authority"...

"Unable to verify the identity of http://www.store.portsmouthfc.co.uk as a trusted site"...

"you are possibly connected to a site pretending to be portsmouthfc.co.uk, possibly to obtain your confidential information"... (or to defraud you of your hard earned cash and relieve you of your assets") ;)

Typical Peter Storrie, he can't even manage to resign correctly.

It's got to be hard on his wages, is it 1 or 2 million a year he's on?

You can put up with a lot a crap if you have 100K stuffed in your account at the end of the month.

Just out of interest - how many CCJs can a company rack up before it becomes a criminal matter? And could someone contact Hampshire Constabulary, or even trading standards, making the entirely justifiable claim that they are trading fraudulantly? Just wondered......

I'd say 'last one out, turn off the lights'....but some unpaid member of staff will have taken the bulbs long before then. :D

He is a sh1t-bag, isn't he, Storrie? How can an employee of a company come out and say his position is almost untenable? It is clearly completely untenable and he knows it, but every week he can cling on and get his snout in the trough before everyone else gets paid means he pockets another years wage for the other poor effers who have to wait
