Interesting assessment.

I cant see the bank writing off 30m when the club have many assets that could be sold first. There again who knows what banks will do ever|?

They wouldn't write it off unless they had too.

It is possible (however unlikely) that Dr Al Said something alsong the lines of (numbers made up and not based on anything at all)

"If I don't buy the club it will go into administration and you will only get 10% payment. I won't buy the club unless you agree to write off 80% and I'll pay you 20% over 10 years"

However again I think it unlikely.

If the deal has actually gone thorugh I would guess that Standard Chartered/Barclays have taken further security (i.e. future sky money and personal guarantees) and have agreed to extend the capital repayment period.

This still leaves them with a mortgaged future and a great deal work to do to survive. New stadiums etc would still be a pipe dream.

On the other hand maybe Dr Al has been 100% honest in everything he has said so far, really is a gazillionaire and will pump vast funds into the club...

The way I see it this now opens the floodgates for Pompey to buy Riquelme and Ribery and stroll back to take their rightful place as League Champions in 2011. After all, they won it in 1943 or something which makes them pretty much part of the big four already.

I see. I've misunderstood the SSN report then.

Nope, SSN have just backtracked. That's all.

The moral of the story: SSN don't check facts until after they put a story out.

I totally agree. I think they got 60,000 for Hereford at home last night, too. You can see why they are such a big for the likes of Moekena, Ashikodi and Bopp.

Email from Peter Storrie quoted on another site

Dear ******,

Thank you for your email. As of this moment Portsmouth Football Club is still owned by Mr. Gaydamak .

I am aware of stories that have surfaced about Mr Al fahim being the sole owner . They are total rubbish .

I understand and sympathise with your and other fans concerns about where the club is heading .

Thank for you patience and loyalty .

Peter

we're only linked by Darwins theory of evolution. Our part of hampshire luckily went down the route of standing up straight and having toes not webbed feet. Our idea of a picnic is going and eating a nice lunch and the spread not being our daughter.Somewhere, you PES got abducted and sent down the slippery slope of Skatedoom.

Thanks Nick.:D

Storrie has hilariously stitched himself up.

He's spent the last couple of weeks discrediting the fake doctor (even more than the doc was doing himself) only for him to do a deal behind his back

Posted
He has taken over. Sky say it has been announced on Pompey OS. End of Storrie?

I would have thought so ... given his comments on al falhim "Putting up or shutting up" and his attempt to buy the club over aaa.

Be interesting to see what happens next. He has effectively bought the club for nothing, but guranteed the debt.

the company is called associates but then he is the sole owner.A bit contradictory id have thought.I wonder if the PL has really looked into this properly.

Unfortunately sad day for us.

With their fake Dr, modern stadium, free use of a school playing field for training, top manager, stable squad, magnificent support of a huge 6,000 fans - we have to accept we will never catch up.

You've forgotten the hottest piece of real estate this side of the Palm Complex development in Dubai.

That millionaire's playground, the Fratton Park car park.

The best thing about this fred is it started with pointing laughing about the Dr's deal falling through and is ending with pointing and laughing about the Dr's deal going through!

The giggles just keep on coming.

Theres been a car crash at PFC. Still awaiting reports who has survived apart from the driver Al Fahim

and Ho's missed the big announcement and party. No doubt they are still trying to locate the chip for his shoulder and he will be reading this beside the pool at Slough leisure centre as he sips at his ****tail

You seem to be assuming that any new investment would come from the middle east. That's not the rumour at all.

. Only that Storrie had put a consortium together and that there was some serious money behind it.

Taking longer than I was told to expect but on it's way I believe. Hopefully you'll all be pleased for us

Finger on the pulse

Lol, yeah those German/Chinese/Russian consortiums certainly left egg on our faces.

but there are going to be so rich with that Lie fella and that heimes fella on the board

think you are right - although it took ages to loads??? (high speed broadband) then went to report??? Can't get it now

I'm glad we support Saints....

Things went so smoothly in comparison for us... :D

Their take over is quite surreal! I am feeling rather jealous...

Al Fahim claimed to be a chess champion, claimed to be a Doctor, claimed to be a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, claimed to be the owner of Hydra Properties, claimed to have bought Man City, claimed to be buying Ronaldo for £135,000,000 for Man City. He now claims to have bought Poopey.

His only claim to fame is that he is a liar of the highest order.

The skates aren't happy

there is already a ''DR OUT'' thread on their forums, and it's not a joke thread either.

All quite funny from our point of view. They've gone from one mess to another by the sounds of it.

the Dr doesn't have the club at heart, otherwise he wouldn't have dragged this deal around the block 3 times, before screwing the current chairman.

Posted
Storrie been on radio and saying he thought he was completing today and Gaydamac stictched him and sold to Dr

it's priceless...you couldn't make it up.

So they had their billionaire owner lined up and ready to take over, and instead have ended up with... their Pinnacle?

Opposite of what happened to us...

You'd think with the number of illegitimate feral youths prowling the streets round that way they'd be able to fill the stadium.

6,000 for a Portsmouth home game?!?!?? Never! Portsmuff are the biggest club in the south coast, I know because Corp Ho told me. Portsmuff are the richest club on the south coast, I know this because Corp Ho told me.

So come on then you fish fiddlers, what excuses are you going to come up with for such a poor attendance?

Pretty obvious isn't it- Fourth division Hereford ffs, wheras you were playing a Premiership team. As you're merely a third division club it was a big game for you....

Right. To all those clinging to the hope that we'll be dead and buried by early August, here's a summary of events so far:

Letter of intent (contract agreeing to buy the club at an already agreed price if nothing nasty is found in due diligence) signed in Paris six weeks ago.

Due diligence completed to the satisfacton of the buyer yesterday.

Premier League Fit and proper person test the last hurdle.

He is NOT going to fail the test.

Deal done within the next two weeks. Then we'll find out if he's:

a) A total chancer without a bean to his name who's trying to impress his mates.

or

b) A reasonably wealthy enthusiast i.e. multi millionaire, who's looking to make a few bob on the property side as well as fund a decent level PL oufit.

or

c) A nonothingaboutfootballnumpty with billions to burn who will try to outbid citeh at every turn.

Personally, I suspect b), but the other two scenario's wouldn't surprise me either........

Ok it took longer than the two weeks I suggested back in July, but THE DEAL IS DONE!!!!!!!

Mods, you might as well lock this one down at long last because YOU ALL GOT IT WRONG :D

Alternatively, why not rename the thread: 'OH HAPPY DAY- PFC TAKEOVER COMPLETED' to try to save face, eh? :smt043

Err - we are all already are pointing and laughing at you because the deal is completed. It's absolutely hilarious and the sooner you appoint Diego Maradonna the better.

You are easily the divviest of the Pompey fans on here. I think we might be due another 900 word essay of "argument" from you as to why your team is, like, better than ours.
