Can't they break Financial Fair Play rules or something soon, we need some entertainment.

 

Rochdale away in the FA cup on the weekend, one win away from being in the hat along with us...

 

I know we're not in the best of form but we'd still beat them fairly comfortably, let's be honest.

Easy, we went to top of the league Wigan and in the end were too much for them.

I know we're not in the best of form but we'd still beat them fairly comfortably, let's be honest.

My biggest fear of relegation is being in the Championship with them, and us still not able to get our sh*t together on the pitch.

Nothing ever changes down there, if they don't get promoted this thread could get very funny once again. From a very close source, they are flying up to Manchester this weekend whilst their usual (executive) team coach is driven up empty to meet them at the airport. How many other league 1 teams can afford to spunk money like that?

We SHOULD beat them but our current crop are so mentally weak they’d capitulate. Would loved to have got them in the Koeman days. I reckon we’d have got double figures.

David Sharpe, former Wigan chairman is on TalkSPORT right now after recently selling the club. Pompey fans and Mr Disney might want to listen in.

 

- “The Championship is unsustainable”

- Wigan has among the lowest wages in the division and they had to spend £10m a year before transfers just to keep the club going in the Championship

- would rather be in League 1 than the Championship.

- it’s not possible to survive without huge investment.

- The family are glad to get out now as they can’t meet the level of investment required.

Yeah but Pompey will build an 80k mega stadium for free once they sell their original Dead Sea Scrolls, Holy Grail, Shroud of Turin, Crown Jewels, Trump's wig, etc..

Next season will see this thread come back to life, the fans already are getting ahead of themselves, I can't wait for the crash and burn. And it'll hurt them because we got out of the Championship with the click of the fingers :lol:

Cut Mac a bit of slack.

 

He is a relatively decent Pompey fan and can give and take with a bit of humour, the sort of exchanges we should look to have with our nearest rivals.

 

However a different type of response may be called for if the 'Toy Salesman' deigns to return to the fold.

They got some tough games coming up. All top sides. This will tell us if they will go up automatically or be in the roulette of the playoffs.

I'm not sure which will be funnier, them missing out on promotion by loss in the play offs, or them getting promoted then getting utterly battered each week in the Championship, which is what will happen if they don't find some major investment to improve the squad.
