Golden Balls Posted 4 November, 2016 Posted 4 November, 2016 Go and have a look at their fans online forum. Its brilliant the way they are not bothered, having a number of threads on their about the number of empty seats, lack of atmosphere, delusional Saints fans, and some favourites about how big they are, how great FP is, and how they are not the slightest bit jealous that there might be a £200m takeover. I pop onto the site every week or so, just to remind myself how much worse off we are compared to them!!! Working down in that absolute hole does bring me a good laugh sometimes. That's all I've been hearing all day "Not as good as AC Milan" "Never won the league though have ya" "4-1" "Going bankrupt when the Chinese get power" "Couldn't even sell out against Inter" That last one will be yet another Portsmyth to go alongside the empty ground against Sunderland. They really do try to convince themselves that they're not jealous. Hilarious.
chocco boxo Posted 4 November, 2016 Posted 4 November, 2016 Heard they offered Inter the chance to train at Fratton Park but Inter apparently chose the more salubrious surroundings of Winchester City!
trousers Posted 4 November, 2016 Posted 4 November, 2016 (edited) Still amuses the hell out of me that they think one of their greatest achievements is a draw They do like their draws down tinpot way. They still rave about the 2-2 at St.Mary's a few seasons back. You know.... that game where we picked up a point that contributed to our promotion and where they dropped 2 points that contributed to their relegation. Not the sharpest tools in the box. TopGun Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 It would be nice to see on loan Saints player Dominic Gape score for Wycombe and put Portsmouth out of the cup.
buctootim Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 (edited) Wycombe winning Being beaten by an actual fans owned club - thats got to hurt Edited 5 November, 2016 by buctootim

I'm still bitter as **** about that Norris goal tbf.
Pamplemousse Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 1-1 now! Good news IMO - I so want them to reach the 3rd round and be drawn against us
nta786 Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 (edited) The season gone and the skates won't taste a premier league surface Edited 5 November, 2016 by nta786
Ohio Saint Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 Another year and the skates won't taste a premier league surface They wouldn't want to....They have 100% bestest grass. Probably would not know how to play on other surfaces.
Golden Balls Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 (edited) That's annoying. Would have been good to have a reply to take their focus off the league a bit. Less than 8k of the bestest bothered going today. And those that did made it an atmosphere to remember by booing their own team again. Edited 5 November, 2016 by Golden Balls
Ohio Saint Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 Is that forum back up? The funny one? You know, the one that disappeared. Link please?
rallyboy Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 Inter Milan, Wycombe Wanderers....this thread now writes itself.
Sevvy Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 Apparently they have sold less than 400 tickets for Tuesday's nights game
Ohio Saint Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 Inter Milan, Wycombe Wanderers....this thread now writes itself. Dear world, Oh how I laughed at your comic genius when you pitted the talents of Saints and Inter Milan in the very same week that the Skates lost in the FA cup to the might of Wycombe Wanderers. Yours sincerely, The Pompey Takeover thread.
Nordic Saint Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 Portsmouth 1 Wycombe 2 attendance: 8,130 Boos at half-time and full-time Southampton 2 Inter Milan 1 attendance: 30,389 Media plaudits for the home support with the crowd singing before kick-off and still singing after the final whistle. The gulf between us is massive. They really will have to start worrying about Eastleigh coming to get them.
whelk Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 Paul Cook: "I thought Wycombe thoroughly deserved the win...probably the most disappointing afternoon I've had since arriving"
Pamplemousse Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 I really really hope that they weren't depending on a money-spinning tie in the 3rd round to fund their promotion push in the January window.
TopGun Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 Well, that makes Cook's comments about looking forward to a 3rd round tie against top flight opposition look a bit daft.
TopGun Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 Also be funny to remind that plank who was going on about Saints plastic fans after the Subderland evening EFL game crowd of 21000 of today's Saturday crowd at Fratton of 8000.
Ohio Saint Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 Paul Cook: "I thought Wycombe thoroughly deserved the win...probably the most disappointing afternoon I've had since arriving" In other words. he just doesn't get out enough.
Golden Balls Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 (edited) Also be funny to remind that plank who was going on about Saints plastic fans after the Subderland evening EFL game crowd of 21000 of today's Saturday crowd at Fratton of 8000. Take the 510 away fans off that attendance and its roughly how many we took to a midweek game in Italy. They're still the best though. Edited 6 November, 2016 by Golden Balls
alehouseboys Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 So let me get this straight, the Division 4 upstarts were mocking our 21,000 in the League Cup against Sunderland yet could barely muster 7,500 home fans this afternoon with anyone under 17 getting in for a quid. I guess there were thousands and thousands locked out? Did they win btw?
The Cat Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 Heard today that one of their fans, who is banned from Fratton, spent most of his Thursday wandering around Southampton filming Inter Ultras in the hope they would give some of our lads a run around so he could put it on youtube. All that happened was he spent most of the day near Yates, then hung around outside St Mary's during the game before following their fans back into town where they failed to get into bars or pubs before splintering up. I hope he enjoyed himself.

Joemichalczuk1 Posted on 05/11/2016 00:30 PST Shares Report Message | Email Message To A Friend | Reply To Message Dr Drew is correct - as is the initial point of this thread - shares in PST are a donation - there is no legal way to get your money back if wanted. Which is interesting considering PFC Board are in the process of selling the club to a New York consortium.
Lambert1979 Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 Cracking read - I obviously knew they were deluded but this is staggering http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/pompey/the-report-which-recommends-pompey-s-future-is-fratton-park-1-7664017
dronskisaint Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 First time I've read a thread on there for a while...the delusion, the level of debate, the diminutive IQs.....For 'Dr Drew' it's like shooting fish in a barrel whilst having a healthy dislike for the fish! :-)

No room for it, no money for it, no fans to fill it, no need for it.
drew69 Posted 5 November, 2016 Posted 5 November, 2016 Dr Drew does seem to have the blue few wrapped up in knots, time and again. One would wonder where he gets his information.
Hatch Posted 6 November, 2016 Posted 6 November, 2016 I'm sure their budget projection didnt predict a first round knock out with only 8000 in attendance most of whom only paid a quid.
TopGun Posted 6 November, 2016 Posted 6 November, 2016 06/11/2016 11:19 AM CET PompeyBanana The problem is we are a big club for the bottom two divisions, in a nice sunny location in the south and players coming down here from the north, particularly those in their final years on fat contracts, think they've won the football equivalent of the lottery and start behaving like big time charlies. We just have too many of those jokers and they are not hungry enough. Get someone in to kick their arses or ease them out. Cook can't do it because he has won the biggest lottery prize and signed all of them. Read more at: http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/pompey/pompey-dumped-out-of-the-cup-1-7664909
TopGun Posted 6 November, 2016 Posted 6 November, 2016 The reporting for the News this weekend has been done by a guy called Howard Frost. Much higher quality than usual as it gets rid of the hysterical nonsense written by Comical Allen and his sidekick monkey Jordan Cross. Perhaps there is a rethink going on at the News?
Lord Duckhunter Posted 6 November, 2016 Posted 6 November, 2016 Just replayed Cooks after match comments on Solent at half time . According to Cook they " huffed & puffed , without huffing " . Wtf does that mean ?

Sevvy Posted 7 November, 2016 Posted 7 November, 2016 I thought a decent cup run was part of their financial needs this season, I am sure I read that somewhere.

rallyboy Posted 7 November, 2016 Posted 7 November, 2016 Looks like the funding for a Tour de France start in Portsea seems to have gone pear-shaped in the traditional manner... Critics say the chances of being selected to stage the world’s greatest cycling race in the same year as the 75th anniversary of D-Day are very unlikely – and the fiasco makes Portsmouth ‘look stupid’. Portsmouth Lib Dem leader and former council boss, Councillor Gerald Vernon-Jackson, said: ‘It’s almost beyond belief that this seems to be going on. It cost millions in Yorkshire to put this on and it was expected locally to find that money. ‘Someone needs to get a grip of this, because it looks as if Portsmouth has been made to look stupid.’ The package, which sold Portsmouth’s achievements and boasted about the prospect of the city and French twin Caen reaping up to £100m of benefits, was produced by the council along with a number of sport and cycling experts. The authority gave the 32-page file to Portsmouth South MP Flick Drummond on the basis she would present it to Whitehall culture officials so they could make a decision whether to award Portsmouth the money. But the DCMS has revealed it has never received any business case requesting for funds to be released. That'll be the same people who claimed that their football club needed saving because it generated approx £13m per home game for the local economy. Meaning a family of four visiting Fratton Park last weekend spent £6,000 on their day out. Missing paperwork + dodgy figures = business as usual.
buctootim Posted 7 November, 2016 Posted 7 November, 2016 That'll be the same people who claimed that their football club needed saving because it generated approx £13m per home game for the local economy. Maybe they meant away games generated £13m for the local economy? Whilst the blue few are somewhere else they aren't stealing in Portsmouth?

alehouseboys Posted 7 November, 2016 Posted 7 November, 2016 More portsmyths from Twitter. In their desperate attempt to try and "win" the attendance "debate", they're suggesting we had to close entire stands at St Mary's when we were in League 1 They averaged around 12,000 when they were recently in League One. They could have fitted them all into a couple of stands down there in the "old girl".
