Indeed, they attracted massive massive crowds of between 700 and 10,000.

I think it would be more advantageous to invite all of the past us teams over to our little bear pit and give them a sample of the AC Milan atmosphere, you could warn them to watch the highlights on YOUTUBE first , the gate receipts will come in handy and its about time we had some decent home pre-season friendlys.

Surely if they wanted an AC Milan atmosphere they would go to the San Siro?

Is the skate honestly trying to compare the kipper shed with one of the worlds great football stadiums?

Catlin in running for CEO of the year in some tinpot magazine according to our favourite propaganda man Neil Allen.

What has Catlin done to deserve this award I wonder:

* failed to get Pomey promoted in three attempts despite being "large club"

* blown Tesco cash on journeymen

* blown £950k transfer cash (Wallace and the defender sold to Ipswich) on journeymen

* spent almost nothing on improving infrastructure (except a gravel car park and championship standard flood lights)

* failed to resolve the Trust ownership stalemate that prevents any new injection of outside funding

* defended the footballing status quo against innovation

Give the man the gong. Fully deserved.

What a short memory you have!

How can you forget the magnificent Portakabin he had installed at the training ground that they rent, the enormous fence that they put up there, the fact that he got the academy players to pick up all the dog turds and syringes and the crowning glory of the Sports Direct table tennis table.

You need to give this giant amongst men a little more credit!

From memory their last US jaunt was reminiscent of the film Planes, Trains and Automobiles and set their season back weeks.

Personally I think we should consider sponsoring their virtual airmiles campaign.

Still got the edge on Portsmouth, Hants though :D

"Chuck's father, Charles "Junior" Riley, 38, married his second wife, Luanne, last year, a few weeks after her 15th birthday. "She's still my friend," says Jenifer about Luanne, her former schoolmate. "She's just my mom too."

I'm starting to wonder if there was a second Mayflower that left Portsmouth, Hants and founded Portsmouth, Ohio

Caption competition?

Not for the first time, officials of Portsmouth FC were guilty of over-exaggeration, fibbing and garnishing the facts and this time it failed to impress the female natives on Grab A Granny Night

Isn't it sweet how they've managed to manufacture a little derby game down there, bless them.

Meanwhile, we're off to the San Siro. Will this finally be an end to their historic game against AC?!

1st Round draw for the FA Cup today.

I want Pompey to get a non-league team. If they win, it's good news because they're a step closer to possibly playing us, and if they lose, it's good news because it'll be effing hilarious

Eastbourne Borough away would suit me down to the ground.

There's nothing better than an FA Cup first round draw the same week we jet off to Milan to remind us of the chasm between the two clubs.

They'd rather be playing Wycombe - that's real football. They hated having to play Milan.

Careful now. Didn't you know that the draw achieved by the plucky minnows of the previous football club is considered one of their greatest achievements down at the smelly end of the m27?
