Clapham Saint Posted 14 September, 2016 Posted 14 September, 2016 I can't imagine what you are thinking, but with only 220 seats or so available (when I looked), it wouldn't take a lot of effort... I hope nobody does whatever it is that you are thinking of. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
andysstuff Posted 14 September, 2016 Posted 14 September, 2016 The PST AGM is coming up - apparently there are some vital issues to be addressed. Anyone can register for the limited number of tickets available by following the link. Anyone know what item 2.2 on the agenda refers to? Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
suewhistle Posted 14 September, 2016 Posted 14 September, 2016 Well, keep us informed. Quite a few special business motions there, but they must be used to being in the merde by now..
Doctoroncall Posted 14 September, 2016 Posted 14 September, 2016 Anyone know what item 2.2 on the agenda refers to? Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk Not as interesting as motion 2.3. That is so secret it hasn't been included. So they are have their own 5 year plan from 2016. I wonder if it mentions gaining promotion from league two and how they hope to achieve it? Or is it specific to PST sphere of interest and accountability?
rallyboy Posted 14 September, 2016 Posted 14 September, 2016 Sounds like another outing for the shroud of Turin.
Golden Balls Posted 14 September, 2016 Posted 14 September, 2016 They most certainly did not see the funny side to this. Seems they'll do anything to attract people to their s***hole.
Pamplemousse Posted 14 September, 2016 Posted 14 September, 2016 The same tiger tiger with the drug problem and where they serve drinks in plastic cups due to all the fighting. The students and everyone else would be better off avoiding the place. Is one of the comments talking about tiger tiger or the city of Portsmouth in general...?
The9 Posted 14 September, 2016 Posted 14 September, 2016 I saw a similar thing using the Spinnaker Tower to advertise flybe flights to Southampton from France today, must be the day for cheap and lazy gimmicky clickbait-style advertising.
Griffo Posted 15 September, 2016 Posted 15 September, 2016 There's a lot of things you can bash Pompey for but boycotting the shambles of the new JPT format is not one of them. Shame the 200 odd scabs we had that went to Charlton away didn't have the same morals.
Griffo Posted 15 September, 2016 Posted 15 September, 2016 They most certainly did not see the funny side to this. Seems they'll do anything to attract people to their s***hole. There's also been adverts round town to visit the Mary Rose in Portsmouth over the last few weeks..

Shame the 200 odd scabs we had that went to Charlton away didn't have the same morals. We're not knocking them for boycotting it, we're knocking them for claiming they would all buy tickets - and thus give the club much needed money, being 'fan-owned' this is what they do - but then boycotting the ticket office as well....
Pamplemousse Posted 15 September, 2016 Posted 15 September, 2016 Trevor, a Gillingham fan, makes a valid point on twitter While Portsmouth are taking the moral high ground how about they pay back the small companies they forced under? Our old friend Neil Allen disagrees though... You're a bit confused. The fans are boycotting games - it was long-gone owners who screwed small businesses

Plus ca change.
Ohio Saint Posted 15 September, 2016 Posted 15 September, 2016 I saw a similar thing using the Spinnaker Tower to advertise flybe flights to Southampton from France today, must be the day for cheap and lazy gimmicky clickbait-style advertising. I rember a large billboard in their channel ferry terminal years ago which read " Portsmouth, the gateway to Southampton" it made I larf.

Golden Balls Posted 16 September, 2016 Posted 16 September, 2016 There's also been adverts round town to visit the Mary Rose in Portsmouth over the last few weeks.. It's fairly common to have actual adverts in the rival city. I see West Quay ones over there all the time. Their buses always have the big Rose Bowl events on and our 2 universities are always advertised. This is a tad different and far funnier.
Golden Balls Posted 16 September, 2016 Posted 16 September, 2016 Just been having a chat with a customer who said this, word for word... "Thing is, you scummers can't even sell out your first ever European game. More empty seats than taken ones. We sold out all our European games. That's why we're better fans" Now I do love a good attendance debate with a skate as its so easy to win however I needed to bite my tongue as he's a sensitive flower who would have refused my business just for proving him wrong. Obviously he's wrong on it being our first ever European game and wrong about there being more empty seats than taken....but did they sell out their tiny shack for their European games? I wasn't even aware there were anymore other than that famous 2-2 victory over AC Milan.
rallyboy Posted 16 September, 2016 Posted 16 September, 2016 Debating attendance with some pompey fans is like trying to explain origami to a retarded donkey - you'll regret it! Don't waste your breath, it will just be myth after myth - from the council-owned stadium with free-tickets for asylum seekers, to the tank commander in the SS. Walk away before you get dragged into a wrestling bout with a dirty pig.

Pamplemousse Posted 17 September, 2016 Posted 17 September, 2016 Please try not to laugh, but they've just lost at Accrington Stanley
eurosaint Posted 17 September, 2016 Posted 17 September, 2016 Lost 1-0 to he mighty Accrington Stanley Not to worry though, still joint top behind 4 others :)
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 17 September, 2016 Posted 17 September, 2016 All the greasy spoons were closed in Accrington obviously Bet they took about 20 thousand fans there though
andysstuff Posted 17 September, 2016 Posted 17 September, 2016 Just got in and seen this. Couldn't ask for more.
Clapham Saint Posted 17 September, 2016 Posted 17 September, 2016 Not a single shot on target according the the bbc stats... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
St Lej Posted 17 September, 2016 Posted 17 September, 2016 "Always in Pompeys shadow", is a favourite phrase of theirs when referring to us.

I wasn't even aware there were anymore other than that famous 2-2 victory over AC Milan. 19612 in the UEFA Cup first round at home to Vitoria Guimaraes. 20403 in the group stage at home to AC Milan 19612 at home to Heerenveen. I'm sure they'll claim that the non capacity attendances were due to away fans not filling the away end, but everyone knows the Italians don't travel and they appear to have filled that one... No doubt the argument will then become "Milan brought fewer fans so there was less segregation and more home fans" but the fact remains if they could get 20k+ for that one they could have done the same for the other two games as well, so you'd wonder why they didn't. trousers Posted 17 September, 2016 Posted 17 September, 2016 FFS Pompey. I'm counting on you getting promotion this season
Pamplemousse Posted 17 September, 2016 Posted 17 September, 2016 Cook has swung back on the meter from hero to villain. Their fans are almost as bad as us for turning on the manager too soon.
Waterside.saint Posted 18 September, 2016 Posted 18 September, 2016 FFS Pompey. I'm counting on you getting promotion this season Well they are the bookies' favourite, and so they should be considering what they're spending compared with the budgets of their competitors in that league. On the other hand, if they bottle it *again* I'll probably never stop laughing
eurosaint Posted 18 September, 2016 Posted 18 September, 2016 FFS Pompey. I'm counting on you getting promotion this season Aren't we all, it's about time they went up a league and back among the big (nay, massive) clubs like Bury, S****horpe and Fleetwood
Golden Balls Posted 18 September, 2016 Posted 18 September, 2016 Back to being a villain. They want Warnock and they want him now.
TopGun Posted 18 September, 2016 Posted 18 September, 2016 (edited) Back to being a villain. They want Warnock and they want him now. Oh how they congratulated and convinced themselves that Coppell had arrived as the messiah who would lead them to the promised land. As I recall he lasted a few weeks. benjii Posted 18 September, 2016 Posted 18 September, 2016 Play off defeat again would be most amusing!
Shance Posted 18 September, 2016 Posted 18 September, 2016 I'll be annoyed if we don't get them in the cup at some point in the near future. They managed to draw us when we were on our arse in league 1, it's only fair we do the same.
Dangermouth Posted 18 September, 2016 Posted 18 September, 2016 I'll be annoyed if we don't get them in the cup at some point in the near future. They managed to draw us when we were on our arse in league 1, it's only fair we do the same. They'll have to get to league 1 first though ...
Mr Biscuits Posted 19 September, 2016 Posted 19 September, 2016 Is it time to start wondering if they are going to fail promotion AGAIN?
OttawaSaint Posted 19 September, 2016 Posted 19 September, 2016 Looks like the blue ****s should have washed down their fryups with a nice big glass of milk...
Dark Munster Posted 19 September, 2016 Posted 19 September, 2016 Great weekend. But they'll remind us that they are still in a higher position than us. Relatively speaking.
Colinjb Posted 20 September, 2016 Posted 20 September, 2016 Great weekend. But they'll remind us that they are still in a higher position than us. Relatively speaking. Only behind us on League difference, the pressure is on!!!
Doctoroncall Posted 20 September, 2016 Posted 20 September, 2016 ba***rds:x What have Pompey done to you this time Mack?
Danbert Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 In major news for complete idiots who are growing tired of simply burning their money, there is a "possibility Pompey could invite new investment in the near future". http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/pompey/pompey-trust-new-investment-in-club-a-possibility-1-7587403? Tablecloth, beer belly, and goatee fetishists may also find this of interest.
