oh no, don't start posting Ho's finest moments, those are right up there with the statue and Penny emptying Hilsea Lido in one go....

In fact I think we should put a list of Ho's quotes up on Itchen Bridge.

If you are at a dark point in your life, his story about the council giving pompey land to sell to Tesco for £20m would definitely cheer you up.

Just as the statue of Milan Krankie looking up at the bridge kept people from jumping all those years ago.

My favorite line was about 'Dr Fahim' and how we were going to 'feel pick sick' when we see the scale of his investment - PMSL

HO/Banker is still posting away on POL

I own it now - you certainly ain't coming on ;)

Long time no speak my friendly neighbours. Amusing to see you nutjobs are keeping the thread alive ! heh !

Erm I think it's you lot and the endless giving of merriment that keeps this thread alive and very well.

Transform it into 20 pence over the course of 3 years and then start up a new forum whilst pretending that the bad parts of the old one never existed yet forever extolling how wonderful it was?

[emoji3][emoji106] summed up so well - a true lol moment.

It would make the money Abramovich put into Chelsea look like pocket money, don't you know?

I remember Corp Ho's monthly transfer rumour updates.

Riquelme was a dead cert for them when he was in his pomp...

those were the days!!!

The bottom line is that despite the title of this thread, the takeover has NOT collapsed, Al Fahim has NOT failed the FPPT, we are NOT going down and we are NOT going into administration.

You might as well lock this one down, because remember: "It's the hope that kills you".

This one is a classic.

I don't think Saints are in the FA Vase?

Joking aside, it's good to see our occasional Portsmouth contributors doing their bit to raise the laugh quotient on this thread - a very succesful intervention, I must say although that may be the product also of half a Piemonte white and half a bottle each of a Tuscan white then red.

Just had a quick look at their pre season fixtures .... looks like they are checking out what life will be like playing non league in 2016/17

Havant and Waterlooville, Bognor Regis, Gosport Borough, Woking and Gillingham :scared: To be fair some pretty big local derbies in there, and no excuses for 250.000 of the finest to not make their way to each fixture with such short travelling distances!!

Even Eastleigh have a better build up including games v Crawley and Swindon

I won't even bother mentioning ours versus the likes of Valencia, Feyenoord and Espanyol ..... ooops I believe I just did :D

Creditor payment deadline, maybe to Chinny? It would be nice to see the return of Balram Chainrai

Feed us a little more Dubai Phil

That's all I know as fact. Payments day.

Then we all can speculate what happens if they can't pay or if they try the 4p in the pound game.

Then we can wonder who is out of work these days with links down that way and we can all realise the dream ticket of Milan & "Arry are out of work and a bit flush having been paid off and bought out. So they have a bill to pay. probably where the Tescos' money will go.

Assuming the top table didn't drink all that of course.

Last post today surprised we missed this yesterday, specially as Gay Dad's March was mentioned

Seems he is accused of misappropriating almost as much as pcfc from other people

The gift that keeps giving, So many opportunities :suspicious:

No jolly holiday abroad this year then?

Perhaps this pre-season they really will be riding bikes and eating squirrels?

I think you'll find their entire pre-season all on standard bus routes...they'll be trying the 'Honest I'm only 15' trick to make sure there's enough to pay for refills to champagne Ian's glass!

They were out in Portugal at the Vale do Lobo resort in the Algarve last week.

That won't have been cheap, but I'm sure they have plenty of money to pay for it.

You can say that again as both the Dona Filipa Hotel and the Ria Park are 5 star. Unless of course they all packed into RC and LVG 's villas on the cheap.

They're being taken for mugs too (no shock).

£13 for the H&W game and £15 for Godport!! How much are the tickets for the Feyenoord game? £14 or something.

Lot of money to stand there and be stunk out by JPFCW. See they've signed a 33 year old from Sheff Utd although unusually, they've not given him a 3 year contract although the one year deal is probably for stupid wages for that level.

Presumably they have cash flow problems? How surprising. I can't help thinking that a tenner would be a better price-point on so many levels and could well yield even more income. How much for kids?

£14.50 plus a £2 booking fee as I couldn't be bothered to collect at the ground. £31 for two of us, and 50,000 in the stadium. Audi Cup in Salzburg on tv too, can't wait to see how bad our defence is this weekend... when I get to the ground. :o

But Pompey are going to beat last season's ticket sales...

This is only the third time I have read the rehashed News story in the last week.

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-on-track-to-beat-last-year-s-season-ticket-sales-1-6835991

And there's a nice video in the link below of about 30 pompey people queuing up to get last chance at their "early bird" season ticket deal which has ended now (for the moment)

But still no reference to the crime of running a British football club on stolen funds or an enquiry into it by football authorities....They've swept so much sh!t under that carpet it must look like the Andes by now.

Re season tickets, I checked how much you get for your money.

One adult plus two kids can total £400 for the season.

They have the gate numbers, but not the income - it's all about selling cheap to aid summer cashflow but results in very little in matchday sales.

The perfect business model is to sell less up front, deliver on the pitch and sell out at top dollar - that scenario would deliver maybe three times as much money as their current model.

And Sue, I don't know what's wrong with your mind, I was just highlighting how he bought younger players. ;)

"‘I was there on Saturday, I looked out of the window and the queues were ridiculous"

Bit harsh isn't it, doesn't he know they are in the fourth division? Can't be that bad?

Knock off the VAT and that's £110 per seat. £4.50 per match.

the thread hits 6 years today. Anyone got a gift?

Heard a good one whilst I was in states recently.

Was speaking to a guy who follows "English Soccer" about us and he seemed to know quite a bit. He said he loved the way we played etc.

I said next year should be good too so keep on watching us. Especially the semi derby against Bournemouth. He said "are they the team that play in Blue that you guys hate?"

Poor old Portsmouth, been out of the spotlight so long people have forgotten their names. Except everyone in Milan of course.

For once you are going to be disappointed and that date will pass without incident. There are other things afoot though which depending on your outlook could be deemed good or bad.
