So I am mainly a voyeur on this site, takes so much of my time catching up each night that Mrs Pedro is worried that I watch this more than porn.

So my question is, how does Trousers keep a virtual 24 hour watch on anything and everything PFC and just who is Rallyboy, an eloquent contributor with a comedic element that makes this thread so absorbing.

Being confined to a padded cell since 2009 helps...

You need to be female to appreciate longer term or multiple pleasures..:-)

Bit like Pompey really, although how much pleasure they've received from their frequent and recurring violent shaftings I've yet to determine. Ther's certainly been no love or tenderness involved, and it appears to be a monetary transaction every time...

Yep, but Coventry's ground is not a slum...

Agreed, but the driver of rent is the value it gives to the renter and due to it being used for football, and only football, that will heavily skew things. For example that a club like Walsall would find it relatively easy to ground-share if they couldn't pay their rent, with plenty of either sizeable stadia within a few miles. Whereas the skates have essentially no other option - H&W would probably be the best they could hope for.

Furthermore as long as the Trust - which is the only option for the club to exist - insists on having Fatpipes Park, and accepts no other option, then surely the value of FP is very high to them. Much higher than if there were other options on the table.

Anyway, I picked Walsall as that's another club I was able to find rent figures for. £360k back in 2009/2010 according to wikipedia. So using the same 10% figure, that would give a valuation of c. £3.6m.

FWIW, I would think 6% is a more realistic rate of return - valuing the Bescot at £6m. Given it was built for £4.5m back in 1990, that sounds about right.

So somewhere between £6 and £10m for Fatpipes?

Roll on the 14th!

Do you think we should be a little charitable and offer a ground share ? If their home was to go - how about NC having the high moral ground and offering them an olive branch - paid up front of course ... I wonder what the fishy few would say !!!!!

Posted
Cheers for the insight. Of course, they can be as confident as they like of being able to raise the funds for a purchase that includes a £3m valuation for Fatpipe Park....as long as the judge agrees with their valuation...which, given 'someone' yesterday offered something significantly better, is surely unlikely...?

Unless of course the judge falls for the bleeding heart campaign...

It's incredibly rare that a judge with commercial knowledge makes such a blunder. Most judges are ex QCs and know the score very well.

What happens if they get kicked out the league? Blue Square Premier?

Not sure which league would be the natural re-entry point but have they even applied to join in a lower league yet as a 'plan b' safety net?

I guess their arrogant attitude of ''we're the best we will be fine'' will prevent them doing that and accepting their fate. Surely they would have to do the same as AFC Wimbledon?

Hmmm sure I read somewhere that they have talked to one of the lower leagues in case it all went tits up, can't remember which one though

Denmead, they probably assumed that like Newcastle, Chelsea etc it was a rich man's toy to be financed by the owner until bouyant/successful enough to self-financing.

After reading Micah Hall's excellent log of events, I wouldn't lay the blame at Storrie or Redknapp's door, but the fraudulent operation by Gaydamak senior and his business "associates".

To blame "Pompey" as such for the criminal goings-on re local businesses and charities is the sort of simplistic comment expected from some silly scummer, and I'm sure you're not one of those...

Sorry Mick, I'm a bit confused now. How is it that after all this time the PFA have still not ratified the Trust bid? I thought everything was in place for the Trust to take control 'tomorrow' once the valuation was sorted in court. If the PFA are still dragging their heels after all this time and surely knowing the urgency of the situation, how much longer might they drag their heels?

I believe the PFA are supportive, but there are an awful lot of players who each have to agree their own compromise deals. Most of them expected their compromise payments to start last year and they haven't yet started so we are having to talk about such things as payment of arrears, when the four years payment period starts, assignment of parachute payments etc.

I can't be more specific or say anything about individual players, but it has obviously become more difficult as time has passed.

The bottom line is that if the PFA don't feel able to agree our proposal, the football league won't agree, we will be liquidated and the players will get naff all. I don't believe for one second that we all can't reach agreement, but this situation is typical of what we have had to deal with.

I originally commented on this thread to try to explain how complicated this has been since day one and I've probably now said more than I should

Another obstacle presents itself !!

To be Fair, they can take a stance that its not right to blame the club for the cheating - but ONLY if they then acknowledge that any results and success built with it is null and void and means nothing to them.... because whether the 'club' was at fault or not, it was the club and fans who gained and advantage from it.... In the leagl world, you are not innocent if you have benefitted from teh proceeds of crime and think that analogy works here to.

Expecting ex-players to compromise on their compromise agreements which were made after they had already compromised their wages as agreed in their legally binding contracts. Nice.

I expect the players will be on to the PFA right now telling them to get the next PP paid directly into their accounts before the fishy ones steal even more from them.

Posted

One of the FL stipulations was that agreed deals with players must be met in full & that PP payments were to be used for that purpose.

If the trust is now attempting to get the PFA to rip that up & renegotiate then that is very interesting.

Posted

The Premier League will divert all remaining parachute payments (assuming there are ANY remaining) direct to football creditors.

The club will not receive any further payments.

Just where this leaves the proposed loan from Portsmouth City Council is anyone's guess - but if I had to guess I would say dead in the water.

It would appear from the posting from POL that the PST want to renegotiate those agreements.

I thought the PKF agreements were renegotiation? I can see how the PFA might object to the renegotiation down of a renegotiation down of original agreements where they accepted less than they were due. Its almost like being treated like normal creditors for heavens sake!

That was my understanding.

But as mentioned the players have already been renogotiated down several times..

Not so sure the PFA/players/FL will allow this to carry on..

Hence the fact FL have not accepted any takeover to date re Golden share etc.

The question asked to date and still going unanswered is....

Show us the colour of your money....after you have paid out what you are obliged to pay..

Even a hand full of further pledged money leaves them at least 5 mil short even to get to the start line.

LIQUIDATION....

PS The Harris fronted scam was as stated a SHAM........There was never any evidence they would have paid the 10-20 mil just to get to the start line

or even apply for the Golden Share.

I'm not so sure. Old Spice is a PDT committee member and he has stated:

The PFA have to agree. The players will get their £8M+ as promised if we take over and nothing if they scupper the deal.

PKF can't take the offer to court unless everything is in place to complete on the day.

If the PDT are paying £8M+ then that's full payment of the agreed deferrals. The only negotiation tactic would therefore be a change to the payment dates.

Old Spice is one of the HNW individuals who has been putting money in to keep the club going. That stopped on 5th January

The proposed changed by the PST to the payment dates is possibly the first time legal documents have included the date "12th of Never".

remember the academy coaching set-up that was the envy of the Premier League?

Well here's another deluded claim - this time from coaching legend Tony Adams...

We had him on video and our technical guys, who at that stage were probably the best in the Premier League, were drooling.

Yes indeed, everything is the best down there, always has been, always will be.

You have to feel for poor little Bournemouth who are about to get a footballing lesson from the biggest club south of London.

Though geographically, that fixture is merely two gobby old blokes brawling in the car park outside a title fight.

If I want advice from someone linked to Arsenal who knows about coaching at the top level and the benefits of first rate analysis then I might ask Wenger, or even Pat Rice.

However, if I ever need someone to drive me into a lampost at pace, Tony will be top of my list.

More likely to be a change of security. The ex-players can't have rights to the parachute payments, because they need them to pay the City Council.

I'm sure Taylor fought tooth & nail to get first dibs on PPs for his members written into the PL rules, and he isn't going to give that away for the sake of a few skates.

I read on one of their comment sections that even the phew are starting to call the Trust "the chancers with no answers".

Obviously the PST want to do that as they have no cash to cover the commitments. That those were PPs earmarked to pay off expensive players dropping from the Prem has no matter! The latest increase to £3m on the FP offer is just a small sight of that. I hope the former Pompey players say eff off for once and for all. I think Richard Hughes was meant to be representing them collectively. Hope he tells their lawyer to hold the line.
