They really are deluded...so the trialists will take a non-contract deal or month to month contract. And what happens if they get injured? Why would anyone take that risk (unless they cannot find another club)

It seems that MA's statement about relegation being a certainty was the final nail in the coffin. Time for him to resign now?

Are you joking?! Michael Appleton was talking openly and honestly about where a £1.5m budget will take a club on minus 10 points. Certain relegation. Again the mention of that in Portpin's statement as 'the last straw' is laughable

Well I for one hope, that those down the road can find some way to still exist. I believe they deserve the punishments they've been dished out and tbh some were long overdue, but whatever some of the more hard nosed on here say, I think Saints will be slightly diminished if we lose our arch enemies completely.

As in, what would Bond be without Blofelt? or Tom without Jerry?

Nah, I want the stinking corpse decently buried, which would be about the only decent thing its done recently.

I'm sure in due course something will crawl forth from the grave, as in one of those cheaply-made Boris Karloff B-movies, moaning and whinging & snuffling: perhaps in 20 years it could be considered a 'rival' but hopefully I won't be around to see it :)

But that 'side' has now disappeared - the side they can afford played last night, and would not have got the results against the Wombles and Trotters.

I'm unsure if this means they are getting away with it??? Old nick?

Also, I will assume the trust take over. All sorts of self congratulating going on for a few weeks, then the reality of zero money will hit the average Pompey fan and the moaning will start

Also, I give it till the end of the season before whoever is made king, has loads of other trustees gunning for him

Oh, relegation is almost a certainty

Old nick, getting away with it?

And when you bear in mind how much back biting went on with the "Fan on the board" can you imagine how bad it could get with the fan being the board??

That club would tear itself apart...

Couldn't happen to a nicer club...

How did Chanrai get roped into pumping money into pfc in the first place?

He sued Gaydamak Sr and won £17m in damages. Soon after he lent one of their owners, can't remember if it was Al-Fahim or Al-Faraj, a similar amount of money, secured on the assets of the club.

Probably no connection between the 2 events though.

Do the trusts figures not rely on having the parachute payments and paying the ex-players less than has almost certainly been agreed?

It's a useless Q&A: a mixture of Saints fans on the p!sstake and clueless Pompey fans being moderated by a partisan parrot who is not interested in giving real/useful/informative answers, just to paint everything rosy, bash Chinny and big up the PST.

The issue of compromise deals is a thorny one, I feel, when it comes to the truyt. My understanding is they have said they will have to re-negotiate with players. I can imagine that being a logistical nightmare

Saying that quality over quantity didn't work.. it only didn't due to going into Admin and last seasons -10.. we would have been ok but for that. If we do it again this time but work within the budget and use the kids as well.. its not hard

Genuinely can't tell if this is another wind up or not.

Comment From Perplexed Pompey Paul

There must be investers out there with enough funds. Pompey is such a great club they could turn this around we could be playing in Europe in a few years

Not sure if this is tongue-in-cheek or just plain delusion

Jordan Cross is masterfully dodging certain questions, such as whether or not the 2.65m he keeps on about is a general budget or a playing budget.

League chairman live on Sky Sports saying Pompey have no golden share! Oh dear.

We already knew that, it's taken away automatically when a club goes into admin.

Hence the conditions for them getting it back, (and also the reason they haven't got -10 yet, they haven't got the share back yet.)
