cryoman1965 Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 The English football league is like a jug of gold top (any puppies that don't know what that is,ask your mum or dad) with all the cream at the top, getting more "watery" the deeper down you go. Some time in the past a huge giant gave it a big stir with a wooden spoon,he stirred and stirred until his big giant arm ached so much he had to go and lay down. The jug of gold top swirled around for a long time and then began to slow down until eventualy it came to rest. The rich cream and the watery milk were all mixed together. Some of the watery milk was near the top, some of the rich cream was near the bottom. Then as the sun set the jug of gold top was put in the scullary(again ask your parents) As time passed the giant slept and the rich cream rose back to the top and the watery milk fell back down.(div 4) how i like to call it. The next morning the rich cream was rubbed into the 1960's breast's of Sophie lauren (parents again) while the watery milk was put out for the stray cat(with fleas). I don't why i thought of this i just did I was following the analagy till Sophie' breast came into the story. Did you apply the said cream:scared:
cryoman1965 Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 Just for the old man Truckie the old man.
SO16_Saint Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 It sometimes works in match day threads, and with all this talk of Sophia Lauren...
Lord Duckhunter Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 That seems the most likely outcome. However, one scenario the Football League hasn't had to deal with before is such a short period of time between periods in administration. It should be added that Bournemouth failed to get a CVA agreed as well - if they had done so, they wouldn't have had any points deduction once they exited administration. What I'm hoping/think should happen is that even if they have a CVA extra points are added for the 2nd admin in short period. Boscombe got 2 added to the no cva 10. Maybe had they got a CVA, they would still have got the extra 2. Taking my red and white glasses off, if Boscombe got extra 2 for 2nd admin in 3 years, then perhaps an extra 5 is reasonable for twice in a short space of time. The thing is, the intial deduction has always been -10 with extra in return for the golden share.
mirrorcarp Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 Activia intensly creamy. How very apt. (the ad next to cryomans post)

Sevvy Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 According to my son who goes to King Edwards and uses the training facilties at wellington there is nothing wrong with the pitches

trousers Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 @pn_neil_allen: To all 1,255 #Pompey fans at Blackpool tomorrow. Time for the fight back. A protest is planned. Let everyone know! http://t.co/kWdjow7A RT

pedg Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 So a typical Friday then? No administration No buyer No validation certificate No payment of wages No sign of Chainrai No news of HMRC meeting

buctootim Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 Sounds like the kind of logic defeating nonsense Richard Chorley used to dream up.
rallyboy Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 its this sort of twaddle that invites mockery - Blues boss Michael Appleton has issued the rallying cry to his troops ahead of the televised tea-time trip to Bloomfield Road It's all the cliched 'fortress fratton' and all the 'battling' b8llox - they should just write, 'pompey hope to maintain mid-table mediocrity with their final ever boring away trip in front of a handful of deluded simpletons who still don't understand that all of their money is being stolen by crap players'. The other day it was Liam Lawrence referring to a bruising encounter at Birmingham, boldly announcing that they wouldn't be beaten by the bullies. That's all fine and dandy Liam me old mate - BUT YOU WERE! It was them 1, you 0 - you got beaten by the bullies you t1t! Footballers need to keep their mouths shut, everytime they open them rubbish spills out. I do miss Cotterill, Appleton is way too sensible for them - most of the time.

Weston Super Saint Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 According to my son who goes to King Edwards and uses the training facilties at wellington there is nothing wrong with the pitches I guess it must be called off because they sent all their academy players home then.... They should get used to that because come Monday, they won't have an academy once more. Please, guv, let us sign players as we don't have 20 and we don't have an academy to fill the gaps We're so short of players we should be allowed to sign another two on £30k per week, please guv, please. As sickening as it is, Pompey have already done this once with the FL and got away with it, looks like they'll be doing it again next week. Will the FL ever learn and make an amendment to the rules? I doubt it! You have to hand it to the skates, they know how to bend the rules to suit their needs.

I doubt it! You have to hand it to the skates, they know how to bend the rules to suit their needs. One of the key assets we actually had when we were in Admin was our Academy. It showed prospective buyers that they could potentially "make a return on their investment". It was our future. Most telling fact - poopey have just given away their future - again. They really are no longer anything to do with Football. They are simply another Junkie begging on the side of the street They went into rehab, they had a chance. Now they will die slowly and embarrassingly in the gutter unless they find another "dealer" who can abuse them.
Um Bongo Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 That is brilliant. How utterly cringy. Embarrassing fans. They better hope its windy. The empty seats might make more noise banging then the deluded few who bother to turn up.
Chin Strain Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 The bloke on the football league show has just said (in front of Dean Saunders) 'I'm sure nobody in football wants to see Pompey deducted points that they've already won'.... I half expected Dean Saunders to tell him that he can't wait, and that they'd been cheating with players they couldn't afford. Honestly, FFS, do they have to remove these peoples brains before you stick them in front of the tv cameras? Edit: Dean Saunders just said 'I love playing football, I'd have played for nothing'. A quicker presenter would have said 'I've got just the club for you then...'
Trader Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 One can only hope that Blackpool score in the 46th minute.
badgerx16 Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 I was asked at work today "Who do you want to win, Blackpool or Portsmouth ?". I asked why and the response was "Whilst you might hate them, we are promotion rivals". My answer to that was that I wanted Blackpool to win "Because the fewer points they ( P**pey ) have when they get docked, the more likely they are to be relegated, but as it is also likely they may cease to exist then Blackpool would lose the 3 points anyway".
badgerx16 Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 One can only hope that Blackpool score in the 46th minute. A Sheff Wed fan fell through the floor of the ( temporary ) away stand during the first FA Cup game.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 From MoanyPenny... Penny Mordaunt MP HMRC meeting has moved things on today. Fans should be assured that everything that can be is being done and that all bases are covered. Translated from Skate speak, this means 'They haven't said yes, but we've talked. I've done my bit' Translation to me is "They have not moved the court date and they have not unfrozen the bank account". If HMRC had done either of these I am sure we would hear it from her. Sounds like HMRC have made no major concessions, hence the info free tweet.
stevegrant Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 " the media are aware" can just imagine the headlines now & Manesh & Claridge gushing over this on the FL show pass the bucket ! Worth bearing in mind that there is another protest going on tomorrow. Leeds fans are staging a demonstration in the city centre against Ken Bates, I have a feeling that particular protest will have a higher profile.
Chin Strain Posted 10 February, 2012 Posted 10 February, 2012 That's fcking embarrassing. A protest against WHAT?! It's too late, the only worthwhile protest would have been to learn from mistakes and object to the club continuing to spend spend spend after the last administration. If that were my club there's no way I could join in with those 'protests', I'd just want it all sorted one way or another, a line drawn under it (a blue line I assume) and finally get to move on with some scrap of a club that might actually mean something. PS. All marathon donations from Pompey fans happily accepted xx They should have been protesting against the child maimer, and the FAPPT, when they had 250,000 on Southsea Common...oh, they weren't fussed then, were they.

Without wishing to suggest, Sir, that you are relying on the age-old English trait of understatement, the casual observer might observe that the rules as written did not envisage a situation wherein a bankrupt club, having received debt relief from it's creditors of more than £60m, and having received a cash injection from the Premier League, since it was previously declared bankrupt, of at least £32m, a total of around £100m, would still be bankrupt and again seek the protection of administration without having paid a single penny to the unfortunate creditors of it's previous bankruptcy.
