Spudders Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 I'll be there... which train station is the best get off at? Pokesdown or Bournemouth? Which boozer is best as well? see ya all there If you want to go to the wetherspoons pub in Boscombe then get off at Pokesdown. Take a right out the station and walk along Christchurch road for about 5 minutes until you get to it, it'll be on the other side of the road just before you get to the pedestrian bit (Percy Florence Shelley). A few years back a load of saints went to an evening game in Bournemouth and got off at Bournemouth station and went to The Inferno which is a couple minutes walk towards the town center on Holdenhurst Road, nice for staying outside in the summer but as it's supposed to rain tomorrow I'm not sure that's such an attraction! Basically any of the pubs around Boscombe or between Bournemouth & Boscombe will be full of locals mongs, the pubs towards Bournemouth center are the more trendy ones where the students will be. Unfortunately as the closest pubs to Dean Court will be Bournemouth only pubs, the other options are a bit spread out and there is no obvious choice.
Papa Shango Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 Getting the 11:43 train in and 7:45 back so plenty of time for the pub. £4 return as well so can't complain.
Jamie The Saint Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 I will be going & it is raining at the moment in Bournemouth.
Wade Garrett Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 Wade, interested in the new golf clubs, where did you get them ??? and what did you get ??? Not new ones I'm afraid. Just had my existing set altered.
Jesus Reigned Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 Looks like I'l be getting the 12.43 or 12.51 from Soton Central; I'd hoped to go for a few beers first but want to make sure I get in, and I assume you can only buy tickets on your way into the ground?
RedWillie Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 pokesdown. Turn right outside the station towards town and then right again a bit further down. Mind the junkies.
proevosaints Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 Guys, you'll easily all get tickets. No way bmth will set out and they'll quite easily move the net up if they need more saints fans in. If not all by for the east stand and just congregate near the away barrier
dickyhale Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 im going, i just hope i get a ticket looks like quite a few saints fan are going.
bigtonesfc Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 Well if we dont get in ,i`m sure there is somewhere there that will take my beer tokens!
