Takeover deal complete

I'm ashamed of you lot.

No-one's giving a thought to poor little Micky Fiasco, sat in his room at his mum's sobbing his little heart out.

Saints fans aren't what they used to be.

By the way, I take it your views on clubs being owned by foreign sugar daddies and buying their way to promotion are softening somewhat from what you've said to me in the past? ;)

We only slated the foreign gun running drug dealing ones tbf :D

Corporate Ho makes a really good point. I was worried about English football - and the national team - but probably from a Saints viewpoint. My views have changed for some reason. I guess Marcus is now Saints. Its all good. We need more harmony in the world. I dont care if we dont buy expensive players anyway, I'll be making even more of an effort to drive down from Northampton now. By the way T'Tim; did you play for Warsash Wasps?

The Skates up here are not happy with our takeover"

Seems they have thrown their toys (JCB's) out in a huff

"Police are appealing for the owner of two black and yellow children's JCB diggers to come forward and identify their property".

The sit-on toys were recovered from the playpark area of Lynn Crescent, Kirkwall, following an incident on Tuesday, July 7.

Time to open the Bollinger. Its the best I can get up here

Good evening everyone

First of all, I would like to express my own welcome to the new owners of this great Club. Whilst selfishly dissapointed that our deal did not come to fruition, I am selfessly pleased that a new owner, who looks to be a great prospect, has bought the Club.

I know many will ask questions over the coming days and weeks about the other parties interested in the Club, and whilst I'll be happy to answer anything within reason (and permissible under the NDAs which I had to sign), I really hope this is the beginning of a new era in the Clubs history and you guys get all that you deserve.

For my part, having become involved with the Club in an advisory capacity to interested parties, I've got somewhat of a bug - and I must confess that I may well now have to make the time to come and support the team.

I wish the new owner all the very best, and I really do hope that all of your true fans can unite and give your total support to make this Club great again. You guys are the bread and butter of the future, and I'm sure the vast majority of fans will turn out in their numbers and do their bit.

All the very best

Tony

****ing Brilliant!

Living down here has never been so hard over the last 3 years as a Saints fan, but now.......

Living in a PO postcode has never felt so good!!!

We get Markus, they get nothing (by the sounds of it).

Had a bit of fun with a few Spuds fans tonight along the lines of "We now have the 4th richest owner, but don't worry yours is still top 5!!!"

Skates and Spuds are reeling.

Can someone pinch me, just in case this is all a dream.

Appreciated, but with all due respect

I think we, as a club, have got the best deal. As they say that is business !

After a 9 hour journey (including a 3 hour delay courtesy of the incompetent Wightlink!) we arrived home just as the official news broke !

Knackered as I was I couldn't help but read every article 3 times just to be sure !

I watched Mark Fry on video, Tony Husband on the box, and SSN going round and round again just to make sure !

I look forward now to 8/8 when we play Millwall (bring on the footy), all I need is the matchday buzz and maybe, just maybe we are on the up again !

Danke schoen Markus, ich bin zufrieden!

Viel gluck,

Euro.

Can anyone who has a connection with the Megastore confirm that they are now working on getting some Swiss/Saints merchandise ready for first game of season? i.e. Swiss/Saints flags, t-shirts, Cowbells, etc?

Thanks

This nightmare started in Spring of 2004 when the appointment of Sturrock was made over Hoddle. The nightmare is finally over !

No it didn't. It started in 2003 when Lowe failed to back WGS. Or if you like back in 97 when Lowe arrived.

Hoddle was massively over rated. Fact.

Seems to me we were lucky that Markus didn't give up and leave us to go bust while your backers were wasting everyone's time and dropping out.

Just my opinion of course.

Sorry but I completely agree with this post. Your bid was far fetched and has wasted very valuable time.......

Tony, Good Evening

will you publically answer to the allegations, although currently only alluded to, that you/Pinnacle may have acted fraudulantly during the process ?

without being ridiculously optimistic;

saints to be promoted from league 1: 13/2 (will hill), £100 bet returns £750

pompey to be relegated from prem: 4/1 (will hill)

chelski new manager not to last the year 8/1! bingoooo

something to consider, combination bets, soton up + pompey down

Yes it does Geoff - apart from the potential damage to the club, there is the reputation of two Saints legends to consider - MLT and The Farmer.

Anyone who thinks MLTs reputation has been really damaged by this is a bit odd, imo.

I prescribe just 2mins watching his goals on YouTube.

In fact, here you go - on me :

Tony, as I posted else where. myself and some other fans got up off our butts and, like you and your guys tried to do something to save this fantastic club of ours. I have spent the evening celebrating and thanking him up there that in the end neither of us were successful and that in many ways we can continue to lead normal lives.

It has been a crazy few weeks of stress effort and cost for all of us, but right now who gives a damn, the club is safe and for all my *****ing and conspiracy posting I would be happy to buy you a beer or a lunch when I can get back to see the Mighty Saints. Onwards and Upwards

We tried, thank God we weren't needed and we have a club to follow. Markus - there's work to do, Good luck, don't think you'll need it, we're a Monster and we're coming over the hill
