Jo Tessem was absolutely gash lol. Me and my mates tried to give him some encouragement but his first touch was truly shocking, he passing was abysmal, and the one chance he had on goal (a free header) he completely missed.

Bless him, was good to see him in saints colours again

was he ever any different, sounds like a match report of him when he played for us

as I recall he was (mis)used by several managers as a sort of utility player

and never really regularly in any position. I remember he scored from a great header at Highbury 'though surrounded by Arsenal defenders.

A good record for a midfield player.

Nice to see Gobern and Thomson putting in performances in their actual positions.

What is Gobern's actual position? When he played out wide he looked gash but when moved inside he looked like Carlton Palmer...no not still gash, but combative, leggy and hardworking.

I'd hardly read too much into the results against Totton and Eastleigh - no disrespect to either team, but these types of early games are nothing more than fitness matches.

Agreed, however unless the oponents started their pres season much much ealier than us we should be both fitter AND better and therefore winning these games at a canter. We aren't therefore we are either not fit enough yet (what have the overpaid lazy bastards being doing all summer) or not good enough (I think we know that). Take your pick.

There is a serious lack of quality in our side especially in defence, in midfield and up front. The sooner the new owner is sorted the sooner we can start addressing these areas.
