No mention of Tessem on the OS updates...wonder if he's touched the ball!? Playing as a striker too. Can't say i'd be too excited about him being our striker this season.

Just checked the match report and............ still none the wiser really lol.

 

Could have been him :D

 

Tessem started though, not much impact made looking at the report.

 

Also, bloody hell Pulis has made 2 appearances this week !!! Whats going on ?? We could be taken over.... by milyonaires (in best del boy voice) and Pulis appears fit ?

Saints: (1st half) Forecast, Mills, Perry, Lancashire, James, Gobern, Gillett, Wotton, Thomson, Tessem, Paterson.

 

Saints: (2nd half) Poke, Argent, Thomas, Saville, Reeves, Pulis, McNish, Boyle, Dunford, Doble, Rasiak.

A couple of years ago we spanked some Swedish numpties 13-0 didn't do us much good did it!

These friendlies are about fitness...nothing else. The second half team will not look anything like the team that takes the pitch against Millwall.

Another draw against another non league side, I know these games are mainly about fitness but Eastleigh and Totton have both had the same amount of time to prepare as us.

 

Let's hope the Swiss invest in the squad because my god do we need it.

Yea it is all about fitness and we have started a bit early this year which will hopefully pay off. But, I think we should really be beating them, even if it's by the odd goal. Never mind, we can afford Ronaldo now.

Wotte load of crap. I know I dont usually care about friendlies as they are for tactics testing and fitness and avoidance of injuries are important.... but frankly a draw against minnows Eastleigh and Totton is perhaps not really good enough?

 

I feel a little under whelmed and well... lacking inspiration and leadership?

Just back from game , Goban scored saints second with a back flip , few of the youngsters looked lively , surprised to see Thomas , Jo Tessem was a real waste of time playing up front in first half , not sure who got the first was at the wrong end.

 

Lots of faces there , John mortimer with some people in suits who I have never seen around SMS in the past , was an ok game but disapointed that we did not look like creating to many problems for Totton . Tony Husband from Solent was there , apperantly he was over heard talking on his mobile saying the take over has been completed ...

You really have gone to the top of the list of most boring mundane poster on this forum. We have had 3 months of sheer hell and all you do is snipe about Wotte at every given opportunity. Give the guy a break and at least let's see how he starts the season. Wotte is our manager now so ****ing get over it. Now should be a time for celebration and putting the past behind us not about listening to the words of wisdom of SaintRobbie the guy who loves the sound of his own voice.

Its about time you got a grip and started supporting the club Robbie. In life you cannot have everything and have to mature and realise that is the case. Support it do not keep dividing it.

Wotte will be give a little time, we need the fans to be supportive as we need a positive start on -10 not having fans sniping because they dont like something all the time. You will in a small way hurt the thing you tell us you love.

You have got what you wanted , a new owner now let those people who have invested their money do what they wish to do.They are not idiots they have made fortunes and so will not carry on with a bad manager if he fails to deliver.

So give it a rest

Thanks adriansfc, I wont stoop down to a level calling people who think it's not very good drawing with a team 6-10 odd divisions below them 'retards'. To be fair, as a group of professional footballers, who many have trained every day for years, you'd expect them to be able to beat a team like Totton without really having to try. I havent said 'sack the manager' or anything like that I just think it's strange that some people think it's fine and we shouldnt think it was a poor result. I know the players dont want to get injured in pre season and it's more about fitness, but the Totton players arent out there to kill us, and what's the point in playing if we're not going to at least try to win? The difference in quality should be obvious, but from what i've heard it wasnt at all! At least it sounds like Gobern put in the effort and might actually be able to create some stuff.

Well we did start making happy noises after some of last season's friendlies, and where did THAT get us.

 

Didn't we get beaten by Bashley during WGS's tenure?

 

We're playing matches before many people, so early days yet
