SFKA South Woodford Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Ah bless, Bungulus Cretinus has just realised i was right all along. Well done you! I'm sure there'll be a long line of people from this forum wishing to pat you on the back. I'd rather not have gone through the last few months and having come so close to losing our club thanks! But hey, at least you were f'cking right eh!
Mr Nice Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Finance director Dave Jones time to collect your P45 time, we hope.
Wes Tender Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Finance director Dave Jones time to collect your P45 time, we hope. We certainly do hope. Goodbye and thanks for not much.
CB Fry Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Just have to wait for the league to activate the "catch-22" minus ten points. Oh, and the additional fifteen points they are going to take off us because Alpine said they would because he said the league are no good lying liars who deduct points just for a laugh.
niceandfriendly Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Hopefully tomorrow will bring the end of the nightmare which has been administration. If the Swiss take over it'll be the end of the worst few months in the clubs recent history. Come on Swiss you can dooo it.
Mole Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Finance director Dave Jones time to collect your P45 time, we hope. From one Mole to another, cheerio Mr Jones.
saintjay77 Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Well done you! I'm sure there'll be a long line of people from this forum wishing to pat you on the back. I'd rather not have gone through the last few months and having come so close to losing our club thanks! But hey, at least you were f'cking right eh! Lets see if 1 it actually does complete, 2 the new lot are any better than the old lot 3 the FL dont screw us any further sending us down to league 2 or something daft. After the past so many years of rubbish we have had to put up with it would hardly be suprising if there were yet more twists and turns. And just getting rid of Low and Co does not gaurentee our world will suddenly get better despite what a couple of posters on here think. Hope this is the start of some good times though and those that didnt want admin will no doubt at least support the club no matter what state its in

Oh, and the additional fifteen points they are going to take off us because Alpine said they would because he said the league are no good lying liars who deduct points just for a laugh. Just noticed we're bottom of the table with minus 10 points on the BBC website. I hadn't spotted it before. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/default.stm

I hadn't spotted it before. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/default.stm It has been there for weeks unfortunately and it is going to take some time to get out of the relegation zone especially as we usually dont start well

Someone mentioned this on another thread and I know we have gone on probably more than enough about it but if the club and i mean the whole club are being bought for around 15 mil. Wiping the mortage debt and other debts then SLH wont have satisfied the 75% of creditors. If that happens then we could still be up for the extra -15 points at some point. Could still happen couldnt it?
Wes Tender Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Well done you! I'm sure there'll be a long line of people from this forum wishing to pat you on the back. I'd rather not have gone through the last few months and having come so close to losing our club thanks! But hey, at least you were f'cking right eh! I'd rather not have gone through a large part of the past decade, so the past few weeks are not too much of a burden if the end result means we are finally on the way back up, having reached our lowest point.
Block 5 Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 It has been there for weeks unfortunately and it is going to take some time to get out of the relegation zone especially as we usually dont start well I must have been in denial.......
SW11_Saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Hate to plug a rival, but upthesaints.com are reporting that the deal has been signed, and we are now in Swiss owership. The deal includes "a member of the Liebherr family". Could they be the TMZ.com of the South Coast??

surrey1saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 http://www.upthesaints.com/ No more detail than that really. Fingers crossed! Anyone any idea if this will be good info on here?
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Anyone want to meet up for a pint or two in town to celebrate, once the news comes out?
landford.saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Anyone want to meet up for a pint or two in town to celebrate, once the news comes out? How about at Totton?
alpine_saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Finance director Dave Jones time to collect your P45 time, we hope. Oooooh yes....
Wade Garrett Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Finance director Dave Jones time to collect your P45 time, we hope. He was never the same after the Monkees broke up.
niceandfriendly Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 http://www.upthesaints.com/ No more detail than that really. Fingers crossed! I think they're probably just trying to attract people to their site with that story which it has done, so don't get too excited about it.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 How about at Totton? Bit far out, I'm over the other side of Southampton!!
The9 Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Just have to wait for the league to activate the "catch-22" minus ten points. Oh, and the additional fifteen points they are going to take off us because Alpine said they would because he said the league are no good lying liars who deduct points just for a laugh. Sticky? I'm still waiting for the additional deduction, we'll see. Kinda like Bungle with the admin/lowe thing, we'll only be right if it puts Saints up sh11t creek and I should think we'd both rather not go through the hassle for the sake of minor point scoring. Of course for some people you'd think it's all they've got.
Fan The Flames Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 There is still time to **** it up, as someone said earlier we are the Saints afterall.
saintjay77 Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 thers a cute bird on SSN just then in a flasher mac. f all to do with us but thought I would share lol

Of course for some people you'd think it's all they've got. Well, If I'm right we'd be on 10 points, so you can hardly accuse me of wanting the worst for the club, can you? The catch-22 was one of the most ridiculous conspiracy theories on here, and it won't happen. There's a small chance the creditors still won't be happy and we don't get a CVA and then we would get minus fifteen, but that isn't the catch-22 people were talking about. But happiliy enough, that looks unlikely now. But we'll see won't we.
StInky Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 He was never the same after the Monkees broke up. Didn't he grow up to be David Bowie?
sotonjoe Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 I think they're probably just trying to attract people to their site with that story which it has done, so don't get too excited about it. Their story is def untrue seeing as it is saying everything was complete by 3pm!
Marley Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 2-3 hrs tops for international(within europe) bank clearance! Fingers crossed. It used to take 3-5 DAYS for money to reach my UK bank account from my Swiss employers :-(
Toadhall Saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Lets not forget - this is Saints. But I'm feeling more positive than I have been.
Toadhall Saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 It used to take 3-5 DAYS for money to reach my UK bank account from my Swiss employers :-( Mine doesn't.
surrey1saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 I am feeling very positive,we are as good as Swiss!!

niceandfriendly Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 BBC South Today have some info coming up. Tony Husband said a deal "has been agreed which will save the club from extinction". Coming up before 7pm if you're near a TV.
Secret Site Agent Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Reported on Solent (Adam Blackmore) on 4pm news...makes sense' date=' transfer of funds normally take two to three working hours.[/quote'] First they have to send out the e-mails: Dear Sir, You do not know me but I am from an Afrcan country.......................give me your bank details and I will tranfer 100 million, but only remove 75 million....
Toadhall Saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 toad - that would be a BACS transfer - a CHAPS transfer can be just hours !! Ah good old BACS eh - bit like the takeover it would seem - takes its time but gets there in the end.
huggleman Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 CHAPS transfers take a maximum of 6-7 hours I think due to having had one in the past few days after my company completely forgot to pay me! I phoned them at 9am and had the money in my account by about half 2pm
ekyfatang Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 they are saying its done basically , wotte seems very happy!!!!!!!! so am i

bridge too far Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 they are saying its done basically , wotte seems very happy!!!!!!!! so am i I'm not Wotte's biggest fan but I thought he was very dignified in that interview on South Today. When asked what his future was, he said that he'd met the new owners about four weeks ago  but he was just happy that the club had been saved. He said he'd felt very sorry for all the uncertainty experienced by the fans (paraphrasing).
ART Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 This really feels so so good but reminds me of a typical Saturday afternoon listening to the commentary, and when the linesman holds up the card saying " 4 minutes of extra time" "Please please don't let there be any last minutes screw ups" Nobody's gonna sleep tonight if this isn't signed and sealed. A hard days night seems to be on the agenda. PS: If this is being paid in cash, how many of you have volunteered to turn up to count it?
M271 Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 On South Today interview Wotte said that he spoke to the buyer a month ago and they seemed like decent people.
