Smirking_Saint Posted 6 July, 2009 Share Posted 6 July, 2009 This is horrible. Watching this and knowing every venue and area that they are talking about. How anyone can undertake such callousness disgusts me. It's horrible also as it makes it so real and worrying talking about places i have been etc.

I was there at the same time, in the same year, i remember it being so shocking at the time.
Dicko Posted 6 July, 2009 Share Posted 6 July, 2009 I think the people of India, and the authorities there, came out of this with great respect You imagine a shroud of secrecy when it comes to an Indian committing a crime against Westerners, but not at all, they shopped him

Junction 9 Posted 6 July, 2009 Share Posted 6 July, 2009 Brings it all back. I clearly remember Allington lane being shut that day. A tireless effort by Hants police and her parents to eventually get the b*stard.
benjii Posted 6 July, 2009 Share Posted 6 July, 2009 It's crimes like this that are the hardest to comprehend. Not a "crime of passion". Not motivated by any long-term gain. Not revenge. Not for any greater good. Just purely selfish, destructive and cruel. So sad.
miserableoldgit Posted 7 July, 2009 Share Posted 7 July, 2009 My daughter knew Hannah. They used to go to the same dance school. This really worries you when things are so close to home.
Give it to Ron Posted 7 July, 2009 Share Posted 7 July, 2009 I sat and watched that in horror at that callous bastards lack of remorse that made the agony twice as hard for the parents. May he rot in jail. As a parent of a daughter the same age I cannot describe the strength, dignity and courage her parents showed throughout the ordeal. I don't think I would of been able to control myself the way they did. A great job done by the police in both countries to bring justice to Hannah's family. Although nothing could bring her back at least they got the sick bastard that did the despicable acts to their daughter.
Michelle Posted 7 July, 2009 Share Posted 7 July, 2009 Watched it too. Very emotional programme, and quite eerie seeing that van on CCTV in town driving round the back streets of where I work. Hope the evil sicko rots, it's the least he deserves.
