This bloke sounds worse than Lowe.

Fry has said he is committed to getting the transaction done with his current buyer. So hopefully this Batchelor shyster will be left in the lurch. Selling to him will be like death of a thousand cuts to the club.

I'd be more worried about this guy involved in the Gillico bid than Lowe to be honest:

That is very scary reading. Can we get over the Lowe paranoia and start being terrified by who actually is connected to Gillico?

I am hoping this Gillico crowd is just another huge publicity stunt like the re-entry of Pinnacle and Jackson. Someone close to the club or Fry will have let it be known the deal is almost complete so every Tom, **** and Harry wanting some free publicity will be putting in a bid. Fry should have announced Friday something like any additional bids require a 100,000 quid unrefundable deposit to be taken into consideration. You'd then have seen no new arrivals.

All this is making me sick. I'm reaching the point where I wonder how many of us will actually survive all the stress of the daily ravings to see a bid succeed.

Do we know how much the Swiss are worth?

£4.4bn?

That assumes its Thomas Schmidheiny behind the deal,in which case the figure was $4.4bn in 2006.

Ernesto Bertarelli from the same source is $8.2bn.

Any other Swiss contenders?

Why is it contemplated that any Swiss person or group interested in us has to comprise multi-millionaires or billionaires?

If you look at our recent history, we have not been associated with people of any great wealth during the club's history so far and since our administration we have attracted some tyre-kickers who seemingly represent others of no great wealth.

Why shouldn't there be a Swiss, German, Italian or Arabic equivalent of Jackson, Batchelor, Fialka, etc?

If the UK is capable of throwing up such jokers, I'm sure that we do not have a monopoly on them.

Wes...I've said this before, members get their hopes up, and powwwww!!!, it turns out he/she/they only has a 100 million or less, and then posters turn on him/her/them.

Or even worse - they do have billions and if they dont spend £50m a year strengthening the team the fans turn on them. Either way I fear our expectations of the new owners might be unreasonably high.

I think you may be right. Still... fingers crossed.

True, but one thing the tyre-kicking c*nts like is to be all over the media. It is why I think Gillico are the same as Pinnacle and Jackson, Batchelor just wants another 5 minutes of fame, tosser.

The Swiss on the other hand haven't been revealed to the media, they have made no public comments and have worked away quietly in the background. They would, it seems, even have convinced Fry (fair play to him, he didn't seem that convinced that Pinnacle would succeed and told us).

The Swiss are not quite in the tyre-kicking mode of Batchelor, Lynam, Fialka, tommac, HelpMeRhonda and Jackson.

'Speaking from his semi-detahced home'??? Does he live with his mum too?

Several of the posters on this forum live in semi detached houses with their parents. They also seem to know how to run a football club and manage the side.

So basically Mike Fialka and this Richard Williams are no different from most potential football owners.

After all Paul Allen lives on a Boat , cant his folks afford a semi detached Home

:)

Jesus - this guy sounds scary.

This is the worry - when administration drags on and on, little ''Asset stripping'' groups crawl from under the woodwork - always seems to happen.

i just hope the swiss are actually the real deal this time.

Call me old-fashioned, but I like my billionaires to live the lifestyle and have lots of money to throw at a football team. I don't mind them living on an estate just so long as it has a country mansion and at least 200 acres.

I'm not sure you end up being a billionaire by splashing the cash about. I reckon most of em are tight. I'm hoping the Swiss don't end up being the Swizz...

Swizzlesticks?

It's a difficult decision. Do we want billionaire owners who are only interested in making their next billion or do we want a philanthropic millionaire for whom football is a passionate plaything?
