saint_stevo Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 So....just a company set up as an umbrella to some wealthy people? is 12.5m enough for Fry?
stevegrant Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Considering he sold two players for £2.5m in the last week, I'd have thought so.
Noodles34 Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 they look **** because they are a new company, they have no trading history and don't even knowe the sector they are in. As for the director, 4 companies, no info, 2 inc this one brand new, the other 2, no info. Maybe its not the same
bridge too far Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 This is the consortium that Simon Gillett put together. I hope they're not short of money. This Simon Gillett? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/motorsport/formulaone/4210407/Simon-Gillett-determined-to-prove-F1-doubters-wrong.html
ozzmeister Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 http://www.gillico.com/?p=177 This says they're a football design company. Based in the States though, news said it was a British company/consortium right
GenevaSaint Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 No basically no one knows. Why is it everyone has the been to slag EVERYTHING off. Its a horrible trait of this site. Agree 100%. I'm waiting for they don't have a pot to **** in comment..... For all anyone knows Gillico could be a front for any number of wealthy individuals. I'm sure it's passed Fry's due diligence in regards to the funds. Doh! ;-)
Noodles34 Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Hi Nick, it can't be them. I have looked them up on our credit search file, they have no links, through shareholders or Directors, to a company of any worth. SSN say Gillico Holdings, this could be their trading name with the legal entity being called anything even "Fish Fiddlers ltd" Off out with Compo in a bit … beer time have one for me, tend to agree, i think we've got the wrong company
CWD Posted 3 July, 2009 Author Posted 3 July, 2009 http://www.gillico.com/?p=177 This says they're a football design company. Cant be them, SSN specifically stating english based and this company are from California
aberdare Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 So....just a company set up as an umbrella to some wealthy people? is 12.5m enough for Fry? A firm of accountants in Cleckheaton doesn't shout obvious good news.... I doubt many international businesses conduct their bsiness through there...
saint lard Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 http://www.gillico.com/?p=177 This says they're a football design company. Thats the Gillico i sourced also. Someone said SSN were reporting "gillico holdings" it was "gillico" holding talks with administrators...
Sold To The Man @ The Bar Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 His name also on the Ministry of Justice site! http://www.claimsregulation.gov.uk/details.aspx/15544/Richard_Martin_Williams/2 Neither of the companies listed have any money
Scummer Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Its Gillico Holdings not Gillico Ltd. Hell of a coincidence though, that a shell company called Gillico Ltd was set up only a couple of months ago.
Katalinic Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 have one for me, tend to agree, i think we've got the wrong company I agree.
stevegrant Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Hell of a coincidence though, that a shell company called Gillico Ltd was set up only a couple of months ago. And that Companies House has no reference to a Gillico Holdings.
saints_is_the_south Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Who teh fook are these guys? Aslong as Lowe isn't involved i don't mind who they are.
gordonToo Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 All SSN website says is that they have expressed an interest, no more. "English-based company Gillico have expressed an interest in the cash-strapped League One club"
Pilchards Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 My research tells me that they used to be called W H Ireland. Me funny ......... not!! back to the tennis :-(
Barfy Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 And that Companies House has no reference to a Gillico Holdings. Looks to be American based
bridge too far Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Hell of a coincidence though, that a shell company called Gillico Ltd was set up only a couple of months ago. Not the first time, though. Wasn't another one, called Southampton Football PLC, based in REading, set up a few months ago? Oh wait - that all came to nothing
CWD Posted 3 July, 2009 Author Posted 3 July, 2009 It's Friday by the way... Then it must be genuine!
SOTONS EAST SIDE Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 http://www.gillico.com/?p=177 This says they're a football design company. No this Gillico is an english based company!
Give it to Ron Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Is this another game someone is playing to get the deal done by the consortium Fry was talking to? This looks very odd......especially with 2 coming back in the frame yesterday allegedly.
saint_stevo Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Considering he sold two players for £2.5m in the last week, I'd have thought so. Fair point, so if Pinnacle bid 14m (altho they only had monopoly money) this bid is better than theres on that premise
johnny c Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Hell of a coincidence though, that a shell company called Gillico Ltd was set up only a couple of months ago. Not much of one. This site would find a reason to go into panic if someone said the company name began with a "M"
Give it to Ron Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 All SSN website says is that they have expressed an interest, no more. "English-based company Gillico have expressed an interest in the cash-strapped League One club" But the TV site says they are talking to the administrator....more coming up soon
JustMike Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 its a bid / interest, thats all. can only be a good thing...cant it? ;-)
saint lard Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 This is the gaffer of Gillico stateside.....yes i know they state British company.... http://www.linkedin.com/in/gillico
Channon's Sideburns Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Is this another game someone is playing to get the deal done by the consortium Fry was talking to? This looks very odd......especially with 2 coming back in the frame yesterday allegedly. So we have a shell company started on the very same day we went into Admin. The address is irrelevant, is probably because the accountants set up the company through Companies House for clients. I'm constantly having doubts now...this adds to it..need to see list of directors before I stop thinking this is linked to our old friends.
buctootim Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Sounds ominously like just another bunch bigging up to the press how they are going to take over. Forgive me if I stick with the Swiss / oveseas consortium - the ones who speak only to Mark Fry about taking over.
Scummer Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Not much of one. This site would find a reason to go into panic if someone said the company name began with a "M" Given how few references there are on Google to the word Gillico, it's a massive coincidence.
Smirking_Saint Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Any bid is good news, unfortunately there is not a lot of info about them, still, could be anyone from a troup of travelling minstrals to someone uber wealthy, just hope it all works out well !!! COYR
Webby Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 This is the gaffer of Gillico stateside.....yes i know they state British company.... http://www.linkedin.com/in/gillico It's not the stateside one. A flippin' design company doesn't have 12m to spend on a football club ffs.
OldNick Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 So we have a shell company started on the very same day we went into Admin. The address is irrelevant, is probably because the accountants set up the company through Companies House for clients. I'm constantly having doubts now...this adds to it..need to see list of directors before I stop thinking this is linked to our old friends. I think the only person celebrating is Fry another few weeks to string the work out.
shurlock Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 got to be a stitch-up - not even atttracted a whiff of interest from the locals. last time SSN broke news on SFC, it was about those jokers from Guernsey which were shortly never heard of again and MF's big unveiling...
Rogerfryisalegend Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 (edited) http://www.northfieldaccounting.co.uk/Associations.htm From the website of accounting firm above: Also based in Cleckheaton are Williams & Co., Solicitors, headed by Peter Williams with whom Northfield Accounting perform a great deal of reciprocal business. Hmm, get digging trousers.. Edited 3 July, 2009 by Rogerfryisalegend
Smirking_Saint Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 How long will the sales of our top two players (for measly amounts) keep the wages paid ?? I see another long wait. But i hope not.
Frank's cousin Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Dont you just wish that the bidders would just simply say who they are, rather than acting thropugh shell companies and wired three line whip consortia etc.. oh for opena nd transparent business for once...
saint_stevo Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 So we have a shell company started on the very same day we went into Admin. The address is irrelevant, is probably because the accountants set up the company through Companies House for clients. Give it to Ron Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Not done DD yet...Fry in London talking to them today...havnt proved funds yet. Mentioned 12.5 m bid and behind Swiss/Overseas consortiums.
niceandfriendly Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 On SSN: Sources close to Gillico claim to have 12.5m to complete a deal Mark Fry says Gillico have yet to prove they have any funds and have not completed due dilligence.
saint_stevo Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 the echo's twitter feed still has no mention of this
