Sold To The Man @ The Bar Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 No offense, but do you think anyone on here honestly gives a flying f***? We're here for Saints news and dicussion, not people ****ing on about their hobbies or memories. I found it somewhat distracting while also mildly informative
niceandfriendly Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 No offense, but do you think anyone on here honestly gives a flying f***? We're here for Saints news and dicussion, not people ****ing on about their hobbies or memories. I actually laughed out loud at this
Tokyo-Saint Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 I only have played golf a few times. I went out for a round with my mate when I was about 19 at bramshaw and he was a golf nut.It was my first proper round after about 9 holes I had done ok and went for a shot and played an air shot 'thats a shot' he called. With that i had a strop and said 'rights that it Im not doing anymore' packed my clubs away and let him play the round by himself. I met up with him the other day nearly 30 years later and we had a great laugh about our competitve spirit as it was then. Do tell more...
Saint Fan CaM Posted 3 July, 2009 Author Posted 3 July, 2009 http://www.japanator.com/elephant/post.phtml?pk=9887 "Japanese man takes the masturbating world record at 9 hours and 58 minutes" FFS - you've ruined my thread with porn. That is so wrong on so many levels.
Saints foreva Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 About 8.00am this morning...more at 8.30am news... Fry has told them this AM that he is "moving rapidly ahead with a consortium". Mmmm.... Anyone but that Red Bull consortium. (If there was any truth in that) If they took over, the club would fold and become a new team anyway so it would be a lose and lose situation.
trousers Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 FFS - you've ruined my thread with porn. That is so wrong on so many levels. I was simply countering the assertion that it wasn't a sport.

They have done this in other countries as it is more common there i.e. The U.S. I can see them changing the name of the stadium and the shirt sponsor then getting us into the top flight, ensuring their brand gets maximum worldwide exposure.
Matthew Le God Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 Why? I can't see them changing the name of the team. They have done this in other countries as it is more common there i.e. The U.S. Not just the US. They have done it with every sports brand they have taken over. Including football teams in USA, Brazil, Germany and Austria.

All the teams that they have taken over have had a 'new' start. All history would be gone, the name would change, the ground name would change, the badge would change and the colours of the kit would change. I would much rather go bust. Well tbh, that would be like going bust anyway.

the saint in winchester Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 For me, today is critical. If we can close the takeover deal, that would show the players we are ready for next season. I read Wotte's going to try to convince KD to stay. Might be a hard conversation if we still don't have ownership and a business plan.

Thinking about this, SFC (and our demise) has been so badly contaminated by all things Lowe that perhaps a new name for the club would go a long way to exorcising the obsequious demon and memories of everything that was him here at St Mary's.
Nineteen Canteen Posted 3 July, 2009 Posted 3 July, 2009 I'm sure i'm better at it tbf Like I said - not one to argue with the experts.
