Red Alert Posted 1 September, 2008 Posted 1 September, 2008 I love how city have really shaken things around. I dont think they will sign anyone, but good to see them having a go. Scaring Chelsea and United no doubt.
saint lard Posted 1 September, 2008 Posted 1 September, 2008 Spanish media are reporting that Robinho has signed for Man City, even though he prefers to go to Chelsea.Real Madrid will not do business with Chelsea however.
Al de Man Posted 1 September, 2008 Posted 1 September, 2008 Robinho to sign for .......Man City.Deal agreed with Real Madrid,40 million euros. They should have bought him last week and saved a million. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7591563.stm
saint lard Posted 1 September, 2008 Posted 1 September, 2008 Quite funny to hear Spurs fans disgusted at Manures bully boy tactics in signing Berbatov. Fergie is a tad hypocritical, with all the name calling over the way Real Madrid tried to get Ronaldo.IMO.
saint lard Posted 1 September, 2008 Posted 1 September, 2008 Oh how i wish we had shed loads of cash, well, just a little would be nice.

It seems they're all hugely hypocritical, everytime a big transfer is rumoured someone says something and it starts off a media circus. They're all as bad as eachother.

saint lard Posted 1 September, 2008 Posted 1 September, 2008 (edited) I genuinely long for the day i can be as chuffed as the City supporters about a big signing. The last time was when Keegan signed, mind you Shilton ,Charlie George and alike made me quite happy at the time.Seems along time ago now though. Edited 1 September, 2008 by saint lard

Saint Martini Posted 2 September, 2008 Posted 2 September, 2008 (edited) In that case they won't get anyone. No way will Ajax sell Huntelaar on the deadline day for that price. Manu will have to pay something special to get Huntelaar now (at least 20 million plus and even then I'm not sure Ajax will accept). And the news in Holland is that Ajax rejected two €40 million bid for Huntelaar. Wonder who it was: Man CIty, Man Utd, Real Madrid or Spurs. Edit: It was not a club from the top-4 in England or Spain so I guess it was Man City & Spurs. I doubt if Huntelaar would have gone there if they'd accepted the bid. He knows he can go to a real big club next season if he wants to. Edited 2 September, 2008 by Saint Martini
