Don't forget that anyone who has a (legitimate) Sky Sports subscription can get free access to SkyPlayer during July and August, so you can still watch the Ashes while you're at work :)

I'm sat here watching the England Lions match against the Aussies on one monitor with my work on the other :D

Not as far as I'm aware, as long as you don't use it after the end of August you shouldn't be charged, but I'd check the T&Cs before signing up if you're unsure.

I got about halfway through reading them and just got bored

Right, seeing as I can't start threads I thought I may as well just hijack this one as it seems the most appropriate I can find.

Can anyone here tell me how much it costs to get Sky Sports? We already have Sky+ but as things stand only have the basic channels (i.e. all the ones in the 100's etc.), the news channels and the knowledge pack (i.e. National gepgraphic/Discovery etc). How much extra will it cost me per month to get sky sports (preferably 1, 2, 3 and Xtra)? And if we upgrade to that do I automatically get Eurosport and stuff too? Also, if we already have HD for the channels we currently have, will we automatically get Sky Sports HD if I upgrade?

Thanks in advance.

Ours is £39 per month, that's including Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and Xtra, and Eurosport is in their too. We also have the entertainment and knowledge pack.

If you want Sky Sports HD, its an extra £10-15 extra a month, not sure exactly.

That's not Sky + though, just normal Sky, so don't know if that makes any difference.

Sky+ is the same programmes as Sky, but makes it far easier to record. Makes video/Dvd players redundant.

Indeed, you can record 2 programmes at the same time plus pause whilst watching live if say the phone rings. Also setting programmes to record is so quick. I pay £44 pm though that includes Sky Movies and some extra music channels as well as Sky Sports.
