AwaySaint1 Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Was reading the Eastleigh forum regards the match on Saturday. Looks like they have a new song: "you're just a small team near Eastleigh".
saints_is_the_south Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Eastleigh have a forum lol? I just assumed that their fans were all Saints fans anyway.
trousers Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Was reading the Eastleigh forum regards the match on Saturday. Looks like they have a new song: "you're just a small team near Eastleigh". Link? ta
benjii Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Wow! That's hilarious. No wonder football fans are renowned for their originality and wit. To take a song that is sung by loads of other fans and insert some different names in it is a truly remarkable achievement.
Scudamore Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 I'd feel inclined to sing along but as "we're just a small team near Eastleigh" to be fair...
WhitmonSaint Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Eastleigh have a forum lol? I just assumed that their fans were all Saints fans anyway. Hahaha, nice one!
70's Mike Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Do they not still answer to "Swaythling Athletic ?" they did when my old man played for them in 60's
stardustonmyfeet Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Nothing wrong with closet Saints fans indulging in a little black humour
ladysaint Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 This may be a silly question but if we dont get a buyer by Friday will we still be able to play in this match as we dont have a licence at the moment.
Papa Shango Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 This may be a silly question but if we dont get a buyer by Friday will we still be able to play in this match as we dont have a licence at the moment. Definitely on according to the Eastleigh website http://www.eastleigh-fc.co.uk/home
Junction 9 Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Can I quickly ask if you can pay on the gate at Bournemouth?, should it go ahead.
The9 Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Anyone know what the ticket prices are? £10, I bought mine today.
hamster Posted 2 July, 2009 Posted 2 July, 2009 This may be a silly question but if we dont get a buyer by Friday will we still be able to play in this match as we dont have a licence at the moment. We'll put a Forum team out, and still kick their arses. You know that all Eastlegh fans wear long sleeved shirts. It's to hide their Saints tattoos. x hamster
hamster Posted 2 July, 2009 Posted 2 July, 2009 This could be the birth of our club on Saturday Tickets are going to barder to come by than Michael Jackson jokes.
SaintBobby Posted 2 July, 2009 Posted 2 July, 2009 Was reading the Eastleigh forum regards the match on Saturday. Looks like they have a new song: "you're just a small team near Eastleigh". Wow. I am terrified by their wit and originality. Don't think I'll turn up now. Am far too scared. It's like being slapped in the face by a mixture of Leonard Cohen, Elton John and Neil Sedaka. Terrifying. Please forgive me for staying at home as I continually change my underpants.
Scudamore Posted 2 July, 2009 Posted 2 July, 2009 Can I quickly ask if you can pay on the gate at Bournemouth?, should it go ahead. You may. You can ask at whatever speed you like in fact.
Saint_clark Posted 2 July, 2009 Posted 2 July, 2009 Anyone think Eastleigh might just win this? Probably. But i'm not bothered about any of these friendlies, as the teams we put out will most likely be completely different to the one we use during the season.
saintmatt Posted 2 July, 2009 Posted 2 July, 2009 don't we play this fixture as a favour to them traditionally i.e. give them their biggest gate receipts of the season?maybe they should donate the money to us this season..
South City Si Posted 2 July, 2009 Posted 2 July, 2009 Anyone think Eastleigh might just win this? Conveniently forgetting they have beaten us at least once!
Neilza Posted 2 July, 2009 Posted 2 July, 2009 Is anyone else shocked at just how much you have to pay to watch a pre-season friendly these days? The tempo isn't going to be brilliant as its about getting into shape and yet you're being charged up to a tenner! Can go down your local park and watch a friendly for nothing.
