Wes Tender Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 McLeish is seeking to buy Gareth Bale from Spurs for Birmingham. Any sell on clause when we sold him to Spurs?
jam Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 I would assume it was all cashed in when Leon was in charge and settled the installments for early payment.
Wes Tender Posted 1 July, 2009 Author Posted 1 July, 2009 Actually, even if we did have a sell on clause, what is the position with a club in administration?
eurosaint Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 I guess that he will be sold for less than we got so that probably means we'd get b*gger all anyway !!
OldNick Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 I would assume it was all cashed in when Leon was in charge and settled the installments for early payment.Yep
niceandfriendly Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Actually, even if we did have a sell on clause, what is the position with a club in administration? I don't know if this would actually make a difference, especially considering the club isn't in administration. Haha, it's a mess aint it.
Doctoroncall Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 I would assume it was all cashed in when Leon was in charge and settled the installments for early payment. Crouch cashed in on Walcott, Lowe cashed in on Bale (plus the fourth choice keeper).
Gemmel Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 McLeish is seeking to buy Gareth Bale from Spurs for Birmingham. Any sell on clause when we sold him to Spurs? Sell on clauses are usually a percentage of the difference between the two fees and if Bale does go, it won't be what Spurs paid for him, so we wouldn't get anythng anyway. As for cashing in on a sell on clause - (You might cash in on staged payments) but you wouldn't cash in on a sell on clause
