trousers Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 07-10-2008 "What Lowe is doing should be commended, rather than ridiculed by the flatcaps. He is rebuilding this club, putting together an exciting new breed of talent and youngsters that will take us back to the Promised Land -- given time! The bootboy's brand of journeymen has beens and mercenaries would have sent this club to the edge and beyond."
Mole Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Most people were wishing us to go into admin about Xmas last season, thus avoiding the -10 and starting league 1 with a fair crack at the whip. Sensible people could see that the team / squad / manager were not good enough to keep us up I still maintain Lowe put us into administration after the cut off point out of spite and revenge.

Weston Super Saint Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 thats the Dunkirk spirit...if you were french of course. Sadly we had all the spirits - French, German and Polish - kicked out of us on Rupert's return
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 I have a few for some people on here... 'I will not return to ST Marys, and put money in Lowe's pocket'. That really helped us out...

70's Mike Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 What ever Guy Askham said in 1997 Guy if you had waited a few months , tested the market properly instead of getting the best deal for you and a few others, oh well i have had a great 48 years of support, been lots of strange places, travelled in lots of ways, spent thousands, met great people ,if this is the end it has been great except fot the t*ssers who always owned the club for their self interest.
bpsaint Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 "Woahhhhh Crouchie Crouchie,he used to be a skate but he's alright now" Oh.
sussexsaint Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 I think buying John Gittens again would be an excellent move
OldNick Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 'Le tissier is just a luxury.' 'Le Tissier is lazy' not me but quite a few who thought and said that.
rallyboy Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 'I've just had a thought, supporting Saints seems like a good idea.'
Jimmy Gabriel's Halo Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Two for me:- 1965/66 and I'm looking for a team to support, Saints had just beaten West Ham away 6 - 2 "They look good, think I'll support them" and upon walking up the steps into the Itchen Stand at SMS for the first time after so many false dawns with a new stadium and thinking "this is fantastic, we'll never have to worry about anything again". Oh dear.:smt085
lordswoodsaints Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 'I do' 'don't worry you won't get pregnant' 'I'm only going out for a couple of beers'

saintbletch Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 "I know he knows nothing about football and currently runs a retirement home but what's the worst that could happen?"
IanH Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 When asked if I am getting a season ticket next season I have always replied "I would buy a season ticket if we were in the Blue Square Premier League".
Red And White Barmy Army Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 that delgado bloke on the big screen looks well good
St_Tel49 Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 I would say the same thing about Crouch and Pearson!!!! Around..around we go... And both of you may, probably would, have been right - but its water under the bridge now.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 1-Lets all buy season tickets, otherwise we might have problems getting seats. 2-Dont worry we will bounce straight back up. 3-Lets get memberships for the Dellbar, because its such a laugh in there.
maltasaints Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Mum says to dad, shall we wait and have the kid (me) in southampton or shall we go to Africa now???? (where he could choose any team he likes in england or the world.)
Saint Richard of Woolston Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 I would say the same thing about Crouch and Pearson!!!! Around..around we go... Whilst Pearson staying here would have been a filip, there is plenty Crouch has to answer for. From backing Wilde to the way he let the Execs get the better of him to the way he ran the club. When the Bean Counters deliver their final verdict, being an uber fan with a few bob will be seen as being not enough. I have no *personal* regard for Lowe but we would not be in Administration now if he had not been bombed out on a whim that Wilde held all the answers. If we get bought out by a huge money organisation over the next few days, none of this may matter in the medium to long term. If we don't,Leon may suddenly find himself as popular as his good friend Mr Lynam is right now.
offix Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Let's give Gray some time! Let's give Wigley more time! Let's give Burley even more time! Let's give "Total Football" a chance!
cellone Posted 1 July, 2009 Posted 1 July, 2009 Not impressed by Wotte staying. We're headed for leauge 2. We don't have a team to support. These are things that I hope to feel a tit for saying by this time next year.
