Good press conference (Saints taken over, money to spend) or bad press conference (no one able to complete, assets to be sold off: "who can I interest in this lovely picture of a train?")?

This is either very good or extremely bad.

According to Fry's own calendar of events in his statement, "extremely bad" wouldn't come until Friday, "if there are no bids".

So that's positive and let's hope. Today is both the day Pinnacle said they should be completed AND still the "start of the week" when the interest "from abroad" was expected to get back to Fry.

Thankfully Ladysaint is one of our more credible posters...

As Fry said we had until Friday I think this rules out any press conference today being bad news as he would wait until then as someone new could come in.

shut up

Thanks for that.

Source is Radio 5 live according to MB.

Well I have been listening to Five Live including the sports bulletin at 12:30 and no mention of it at all.

Has anybody actually heard this on Radio 5 or is everybody quoting Master Bates who "heard it from somebody else"? Did anyone hear it first hand?

This will be one of two things:

1. Announcement of players sales under Fry. Deliberate announcement of the bad news prior to takeover - as those players without loyalty seek to leave the club regardless of the impending takeover. Followed by announcement that Pinnacle and MLT looking good.

2. MLT Takeover.

Win win scenario.

TBH If it has been mentioned between sports bulletins on Radio 5 Live, which is a national broadcaster. Would it not be on Radio Solent as well by now with a much higher prominence?

Apologies but this is what I have heard but I cant find anything to back it up yet and seeing as its only an hour way I think along with a lot of others I may have been leaked some wrong information.

Just spoken to Pancake, he says no one knows anything.

Someonelse who's at the Stadium says don't get your hopes up, although Crouch has been at SMS for a few hours.

The Saints reporter didn't have a clue on Solent 10 mins ago - instead there was a long tirade against Fry's lack of communication and openness. Think somebody's jumped the gun....

Quote from Daily Echo on Twitter

"There is no #saintsfc press conference scheduled for 2pm today. If there is, no one has told the SFC press office!"

This just posted by Echo on their twitter page and on following trend: #saintsfc

Just had another message from someonelse saying "Announcement expected this afternoon RE Pinnable. Apparently Lynam & Fry are in talks as I type. Pinnable want a price reduction".

40 mins to go... why is time going so slow!

There is no press conference. See above. Even the original poster is now saying she's been fed duff info.

Probably want it for nowt!!

it will happen on Friday....mark my words. I know MLT said Tuesday, but if I was going to spend a few million and I knew the creditors weren't overwhelemed with options, I too would leave it until the last minute to leverage the best price.
